outdoor area at Ragland Road

Is it called Cookes of Dublin or something like that? I haven't seen a menu and we're trying to decide between getting an ADR at Ragland or just keeping it casual and dining outside at the counterservice. Any opinions? Anyone have the menu/pricing?

Get the RR ADR to be safe. FL weather can cause problems with sitting outside. You can always ask to be seated outside when you arrive at RR, if the weather conditions look right for you.

There are 2 outside areas that I know of. One is a patio, beside the RR entrance. I believe they serve the full RR menu there, just happens to be seating outside. The other is a smaller 'beer patio' I would call it, adjoining the Cookes of Dublin section. I've seen people eating Cookes food here, as well as just having a few beers.

Cookes food is pretty darned good, IMHO, but we usually prefer the RR selections for dinner. Though, I've had some great lunch items at Cookes.

I would go with Raglan Road. I personally think it is one of the best table service restaurants in WDW, and they offer outdoor seating. Cookes of Dublin is great for a quick bite, but it won't offer all of the options that RR will. RR has been a can't miss for me since it has opened!

RR has outdoor and indoor seating too. It's really not about if you want to eat in or out but if you want a full table service (with higher prices) or a limited menu cheaper counter service atmosphere.
