Hi everyone,

We are going to Disney World in February, it will be the first time back since 2017 and a lot has changed and still trying to learn. We will be visiting the park over 5 days, tickets are purchased and tied to our reservation and our Disney Experience App. The twist for us is that we have another couple who will be joining us for the first two days in the parks. I'm trying to figure out how we have them get set up. So I have a few questions for those who can help.

1. I know they can buy tickets for two days and add park hopper to those, but do they then also need Magic Bands?

2. Once they have tickets, how do I link them to my Disney Experience, so that I can make plans for all four of us, especially Genie, Genie Plus and Lighting Lanes? Do they need to get the app as well?

3. Is there anything I'm not asking that I need to think about? They know nothing about visiting the parks, so I'm the lead on this.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Thanks!

I can't answer all of your questions, but I do know that no one has to use a magic band. You can use plastic ticket cards for entry and at Lightning Lane entrances.

1. Nope, get the plastic tickets and use those to scan.

2. Each person can create their own MDE or you can manage plans on your MDE (under your email address). If you each have your own MDE, just make sure plans are visible for friends/family. If you manage plans for people who don't have their own MDE, you can make the plans for all of them via your MDE.

3. You will need to make reservations for your friends that can join you for two days. Hopefully they sitll have reservations available at the parks they will be joining you at.

Great, thanks! How do you obtain plastic tickets, is it something you can request when you purchase on line?

No you can't get them prior to the trip but your resort, guest relations and even the greeter when you enter the park can issue you one. Just need the ticket number and that is in your MDE.

At guest services/relations. If you're staying on site, your room key card is also your ticket into the parks
