Ok... we're coming down for 10 nights getting married :cloud9: and my dh2b has never been do Disney! I on the other hand am a Disney nut! I've been to WDW a few times and love the cruise but really never got into the restaurants TOO much... I was always a very small eater and food was never very important.. Now that I don't travel like I use to and don't eat out 3 meals a day anymore... restaurants and a good meal mean more than it did before. I've done V&A, which was awesome... but here is what I have so far:

Le Cellier
Rose and Crown
Concourse Steakhouse
Hollywood & Vine
Ohana's
Coral Reef
Cinderellas Royal Table
Chef Mickeys
Mickeys backyard BBQ and...
Yachtsmans steakhouse...

We will have my ds5 w/us... is there anything else I should fit into our plan? Anything we should eliminate? TIA!!! I really appreciate it. I have to make a good impression this trip or he may not want to come back very soon ;)

You should definatly do California Grill. I think it is the best place to eat in WDW! It is also fun to plan it so you can see Wishes from the viewing deck.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is a really fun one! Do a search on threads for it to see some of the "entertainment" they have :goodvibes

Ok did some reading on the search and looks like we also need to add Whispering Canyon, ESPN and Cal. Grill. Still undecided about Spirit of Aloha... Thanks so much for your opinions. I remember staying at WL ...and I remember eating at a restaurant in or near the lobby...but that was 9 years ago! thanks!

They don't take ADR's but if you can pop over to Beaches and Cream for lunch or dinner ( could do it on a MGM or Epcot day) I'm sure you would love it! You could even just go for the sundaes - it's well worth the trip! Have fun!

you might consider raglan road at pleasure island - fun place to go, good beer and decent food - entertainment is a lot of fun - music and an irish dancer (make reservations and ask to sit in main room) then enjoy walking around downtown disney

-if you get tired of eating so much food then do try earl of sandwich in downtown disney - great sandwiches (4.95) soup (95 cents) salads (main course and side) --good food and inexpensive - plenty for dinner
then walk to giradellias (sp) for ice cream

have a wonderful time

my dh and I did V&A for our engagement and decided for the price to try other things on our honeymoon. We Loved loved loved California Grill. And it was so nice to watch the fire works after our appitizers and before our main dinner. I saw many kids there when we ate there and they seemed to have good kid food.

Our other favorite that trip was 50's prime time for lunch. I have been to brown derby a few years ago and really enjoyed that meal as well.

I will second CG, WCC, and B&C. I also love the Crystal Palace for breakfast. We enjoyed that MUCH more than Chef Mickey's.

The restaurants (both the table service and counter service) at the Japanese pavilion in Epcot are pretty good. :) Another good one to try is the Brown Derby. It's fun to see the caricatures on the walls, and a good idea is to eat there and then get a priority seating for Fantasmic. :)

I know this place gets a lot of negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by how romantic Tony's was during our last trip. We went for lunch, the food was standard Italian and not too memorable, but I thought the ambience was very lovely. I have yet to go with my DH, and I would very much like to take him here. If you like the movie, I would consider this spot.

Also, another one for ambience would be sci fi. I find the drive-in setting very romantic as well.

I know what you mean about the good impression. I will be trying hard to make one on DH when we hopefully go for our first trip together next year!
