I've never done a trip report but I'll try and make this brief as it's getting late and we've been back only 2 hrs. Back to reality in the am!! YUCK!!!
First of all we left Indianapolis 5/13 and had a smooth flight to MCO where Mears charged us like 80 bucks to take us to POR..never again!!! but we got there at 7:30 pm and basically had a private van ride to the resort. Got to POR easy check in and then the fun go find your room in the dark!!!!! We had never stayed here and had no idea but it was fun anyway. Nice room 3636 except the toilet leaked. Ate a late dinner at the food court.
I REALLY loved this resort!!!! it was exactly what I was looking for we will definatly be staying here again!!!! The downside was the whole internal bus thing. We saw the signs for the bus stop by our building but we never saw or heard a bus for at least the first 2 days we were there. We always just walked to the front to catch a ride no biggie. Then all the sudden we left for MK and boom we started to make a circle around the resort. There was a group behind us that had waited 30 mins at the stop for the bus and were then late for ps at Ohana which was where we happened to be going. Otherewise it was GREAT!!! OH wait a REALLY BIG complaint was the number of parents that let their young children (<5y/o) use the spa as a baby pool!! I happen to be in one day when a little girl kept telling mom that she was hot and mom kept saying it's OK and continued her cell conversation. The water temp was 104!!!! My DD(4.5) did not even come near the spa. Grandma and I took turns watching her and soothing our aching muscles.
The highlights of our trip were: dinner at Ohana's:p Norway Princess breakfast...lots of princess time and yummy food!!!:p Alice in Wonderland Tea at 1900 Park Fare. DD had a great time and mom and grandma loved a leisurely lunch looking at the castle. The weather:sunny: I think it rained 10 mins tops the whole time we were there and we were at the pool and already wet! DD first trip on Kali :Pinkbounc :bounce: LOVED IT!!! Worldshowcase early in the morning...it is sooo different without all the people beautiful!!
Really other than what I mentioned above it was an OUTSTANDING trip. I could go day by day but after WDW we spent 6 days on St Pete Beach which was also awesome!!! We had a great flight back to Indy today and a quick drive back to Cincinnati and all those cicadas!!!! It truly was a magical gathering for us all the way around!!!:grouphug:

Great report! Liked the idea of doing WS in the morning at Epcot...good way to beat the heat and crowds. Curious where you stayed in St. Pete's - we are doing the same in our post-disney days.

RJS-
The only way we got to enjoy the beauty of Epcot in the early morning was by doing the Norway princess breakfast. At St Pete we stayed at the Travelodge. I'd never been to St Pete beach before and just really took a guess. We'd stayed on Daytona beach in a nice room at a Travelodge and I was hoping for the same and was disappointed. I'd give it an OK but definatly will stay someplace else next time. The plus was that the Travelodge has a Shell's seafood resturant onsite which was very good if you like seafood. The beach was GREAT!! We did a dolphin/shelling cruise that was very good (Capt Mike's in the pink tiki hut). I'd be happy to answer any ?? you have about St Pete beach..

Julie

Julie, Thanks for the update on St. Pete's beach. We are staying at the Don Cesar Suites (a condo subsidiary beside the 'pink palace'). Hoping it will be fine - some mixed reviews. I'd love more info. on your St. Pete's adventures. The dolphin/shelling cruise sounds like an excellent idea - In your opinion, is it something kids would enjoy? How much was it...what part of the beach is it located at...how long does it last, etc? Any other St.Pete's ideas, neat spots, low-key ideas etc. would be appreciated. TIA.

TDS373X -

I'm curious to know which princesses were at the PSB? We are going to Disney in October & are praying that Jasmine will be there. Do you have any pictures you can post? I'd love any and all details!

Feel free to PM me if you want!

Thanks

(P.S....I won't be back online for 3 or 4 days, so don't think I'm rude if I don't respond right away...having minor surgery tomorrow)

YES!! Jasmine is most definatly at PSB!!! I thought she was the most beautiful...In order we saw Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan (DD was very excited about this one!) and Sleeping Beauty. If I can figure out how to do the posting pixs thing I'll post them. Hope your surgery went well..princess:

thanks for the get-well wishes. I am mending pretty well.

Thanks also for letting me know about Jasmine. How exciting!

Isn't it sad that the whole time I was laid up, I was dying to get online & back on the DIS!

Thanks again!
