I am very excited that our vacation package documents arrived today. I thought I would share some photos for those interested. We booked via the WDTC because of a 35% off PIN code offer (seemed amazing at the time...then they released the 30% off deal...). I also paid with my Disney Visa and mentioned it to the booking agent. However, initially there was no mention of the parade viewing or backpack when I received my "print offer". After calling back another day to make a payment, I mentioned it and that agent noted that it wasn't booked as a Disney Visa package but was able to change it over. She told me that only a certain amount needs to be paid by the Cisney Visa to qualify, and I considered putting the remainder on my airline card, but decided to just use the Disney Visa again. The 6 mos free interest really makes it helpful to pay for a vacation without incurring interest. Anyway, on to the goodies!

Backpack (Disney Visa package perk). This is exactly how it came in the bubble mailer (below). The docs were tucked in the front of the backpack. My husband had to sign for the package delivery.

So cool! I really think the backpack is nice looking. I just booked through AAA, so I only got the luggage tags, although mine are slightly different than yours, mine just have Simba, with Pride Rock in the background.

Have fun on your trip!

My own excitement for my package arriving was short lived...my DH brought a puppy home the same day. LOL. We named her Lilly. And I keep calling her Lilly Belle.

Ok...I would love to know what WDTC is (walt Disney travel co?) and how to get a hold of them! It looks like a very nice "perk" set!!

Have fun!:wizard:

When you book a trip through Disney, the Walt Disney Travel Company:thumbsup2 is who you are booking through. The above are perks of a package through them.

I booked through Costco but paid with my visa and didn't get that backpack. Bummer!

Yes, I've heard that the luggage tags are different for the different companies. In 2009 we purchased thru AAA and received Goofy tags. I was told that the Fab 5 were divided amongst the companies w Mickey & Minnie thru WDTC, and I think they said Donald was Costco. The lanyards & pins also vary based on your booking company. Our AAA ones were red w the AAA logo. P.S. Congrats on the puppy! Love her name :)

Yes, as skiingfast said, WDTC is the Walt Disney Travel Co. That is who you book through if you go through the Disneyland website or phone, or via a mail or email offer. They (WDTC) have partnered with Costco and AAA to sell the packages for them. So, if you book through Costco or AAA, you actually are booking a WDTC package, just through a 3rd party. They have many of the same perks like, MTTMM, Lanyard & Pin, and Priority Seating at certain DCA shows. There are some added perks offered by AAA and Costco...AAA offers free parking at the M&F garage on 3+ day Parkhoppers and a special discount card that has some discounts for nearby businesses (include. DTD Rainforest Cafe and Build a Bear -- in 2009 at least). Costco offers you a free premium character meal for you party. These tickets cost $39 for adults and $20 for kids. So, for a family of 4 this is a $118 value. Also note, tax and gratuity are included so it is paid in full. Plus, they give you a $20 gift card. Now, lastly, if you pay with a Disney Visa, you can have the package made into a Disney Visa package (apparently this is not available for AAA or Costco packages). That earns you the backpack and a voucher for Preferred Parade Viewing at DL. Your magical extras booklets are made for your "sales company". My current ones have the visa card pics on the front and all the vouchers have the "Disney Rewarda" logo. Including the luggage tag address inserts. When we booked with AAA, our luggage tags had the AAA logo and the voucher book had the AAA logo.

You have to tell them, then look for it. When I booked I said, " I'm paying with my Disney Visa, so don't I get extra perks". She said yes aand that she would put that "on there". However, my emailed receipt did not show anything about the parade viewing or backpack (I knew from the disboards that it would be an itemized item just like the other package perks). So, when I called back to make a payment, I asked again. That agent noted that it was not marked as a Disney Visa package and made the adjustment. The next receipt I received did show the backpack and parade viewing. So, I would call your Costco agent or WDTC directly and ask if you can still get the perks.

I called Costco and they said you can't combine perks. Too bad! Would have loved preferred parade viewing.

I thought I had heard of someone getting it and booking thru Costco (can't find the thread now), but it makes sense that you can't stack the offers. My magical extras booklet has the visa perks, but for you it would have the Costco perks. They wouldn't tear out the parade voucher and you wouldnt want the visa booklet and lose your character meal. :). Sorry for getting your hopes up. :sad2:

It's okay, I'm glad I checked! The first CM I talked to did say I could go to guest services in Downtown Disney for my backpack but I don't know if that is even accurate. No big deal. Does your parade viewing voucher tell you where you get to go?

I booked through AAA and then I called the number listed on the Disney Visa website, and they added the backpack and parade viewing on to it. Our AAA travel agent was surprised and impressed.

Really? Maybe I will try again. I called that number and they just told me to call Costco.

How did you get the special pin code? Did they email it to you or did you see it posted somewhere. How would I get on that email list if you did have it emailed? Thanks!

It was received through the mail. I think it has to do with setting up an account with disneyland.com. Then pricing out your dates at the hotels. When they list the hotel prices, there is a button that says "Save to My Offers" or something like that. Anyway, that was possibly how it happened based on some other threads. However, I heard that shortly after that info was posted, disneyland actually removed the "Save Offer" button from the website and many people were finding that it was no longer working. This is also our 4th trip but the first time we have looked at staying onsite. And, I recently requested DVD planners for Disney Cruise Line. I also think it depends on when you are going and whether they are trying to fill the hotels during that time. As I said, the offer was for 35% off but not too long after, they began the 30% off promo, so it didn't really save us that much more than they were already preparing to offer to the public.

I got my Disney Visa package just like the pictures yesterday!!! Yeah!!!!

Yippee! It's so much fun to get it all. Makes you realize that your trip is almost here!

May I ask if you were able to get the 0% APR booking through Costco?

When I called the Costco rep seemed to think I would still get 0% financing but I haven't received a statement yet to confirm that.
