Our un-magical Day

Just wanted to say I've read the thread and noticed that some people have pointed out that the op has also posted her 'account' of her day on other sites-I was appalled to find out that on one site she has added that a Disney representative has been in touch offering her family a day entry to MK and a 'personal meet and greet with Cinderella' honestly if being this way (entitled etc) gets these rewards im not surprised that she is like she is as it is being rewarded!!! Of course Disney is just doing what they do with customer service.....

Pointing out he obvious in her original post apparently gets you far.....

That's assuming that you believe she's telling the truth about the compensation, though. ;) The thing is though, even if she is, it's not just Disney - I belong to a message board where people who work in retail vent about bad customers, and a lot of companies are apparently willing to "compensate" customers for their "horrible" experiences in their stores rather than tell them that they were the ones who were in the wrong.

She didn't post that here because she knows we'd call BS on that.

I might have believed the ticket 'credit', but the personal meet and greet is far fetched. (and I say that knowing that the ticket has a monetary value and the meet and greet has no actual value)

I want to know what the two older girls were doing while she was arguing with the Cosmic Ray's CM. Why couldn't one of them help wrangle oneof the babies the OP can't manage.

They were standing next to her, of course! Watching...learning....internalizing...to eventually mimic one day.

Well, one of them at least. The other was in tears over the nuggets vs burger issue.

So true (in bold)! I know she hasn't posted this on another Disney board, either. Hmmmmm......

IF she is telling the truth about her compensation, it's possible that the Cinderella event was a front of the line pass. We got one for Aurora in France after my DD erased all of her princess lunch pics while still at Akershus. Really big difference, though, as we weren't looking for compensation for something my kid did!

Yeah I believe her 'personal meet and greet' with Cinders will probably be just a fast past for princess fairy tale hall:) but her entitled mind will probably read 'one to one time' lol!! And along comes another complaint that other people have the same thing....lol :) and she will be late for her appointment since she can't get to anything on time and will miss the allocated timeslot which will be enforced by cms.... And another complaint....

If of course this is true.... It annoys me that just because some people create a noise that they get their own way... If true. But I know that people do get something for being a royal pain too :(

In honesty I've been to wdw since 1999 and being a first timer today would be a totally different experience esp with fastpass+ but I would never have expected what the op did on her trip... I truely believe that you make the magic with the people you are with, Disney just provide a wonderfully magical backdrop and cms to make it special:)

I don't know....... I would have to see it to believe it.
but.... stranger things have happened. free entry for a day at the mk????

if its true, im going to lay in front of the castle and hold my breath till I meet Cinderella. or security which ever comes first. :lmao:

Can anyone tell me where she posted about receiving compensation? I'd like to read it. And, if it's against the rules here to name other sites, perhaps we could just rhyme it out? "Cheesy WDW" or "Consumer Retorts". :scratchin

I received a phone call from Joan Martin at Disney Customer Relations. She was very gracious and understanding. Ms. Martin offered to make us reservations at our favorite restaurant at Hollywood Studios and offered my family tickets to go to the Magic Kingdom again and set up meet and greets personally for Cinderella. I am happy with Disney's response and glad that they were willing to listen. I sincerely hope that changes are made so that other families don't have to experience the same frustrations."

Also, on her other DIS boards profile, her birthday is listed as April 10th. I don't know about you, but March 3rd is not the same day as April 10th.

I know that sometimes people celebrate a few days off of the actual day due to time constraints, but really? You don't get to be pissy that nobody wished you a happy birthday when your birthday is still over a month away.

No one is believing her there either. In fact someone left her a horrific comment.

I know I should just let it go (queue music), but this has been too fun!

Anyone else think it strange that in the original post, even after this so called 'unmagical' day at the MK, the OP and her family still planed on hitting up other parks in the near future? And why on earth would Disney get her an ADR (that we all know they can't make on time) at DHS when they're giving her tickets for the MK? If they were really trying for a second chance, wouldn't the ADR be for the MK, or for a park ticket good at any park instead?

Of course, this is all based on if this even happened. I mean, Disney can't be giving things to EVERYONE who comes in with any complaint. I get from their standpoint giving things out just to make people happy, but they have to have a line.

I thought it was funny that she still planned on going back and in the same paragraph said she wouldn't go back without a really good apology, she would go to US or BG to spend her money

Next week we are planning to go to Epcot or MGM during spring break. I called Disney Dining to make reservations. I was appalled when I was told I had to guarantee any dining reservation with a credit card and cancel up to 24 hours in advance or be charged $10 per person. Ok, so that's $60 if we are stuck on a ride or get there late. People with four kids are rarely on time. At this point, I was angry enough to ask for a manager to discuss all of these "new policies". I spoke to Winston. He was also no help. He said he would gladly take my reservation but not without a credit card. I told him about the debacle at Cosmic Ray's. He said he had never heard of that happening before, so I guess it's not his problem. I told him that I took my two year old princess to the Magic Kingdom and she was unable to see Cinderella or Mickey Mouse. Apparently, he didn't care about that at all? Then he had the nerve to tell me that everyone is held to their high standard of policies, even Executive Vice Presidents! Really, well how does he know I'm not an Executive Vice President? He said he knew because an Executive Vice President would not cut off his sentences. Wow! Well, you can tell Winston that I am not an Executive, but I am a travel agent. And you can bet that this letter is going to be emailed to everyone I can think of at this point. And if any of my clients ask me where they should visit in Orlando - I will definitely tell them that Disney World is not worth the money anymore. Their customer service is sub-par at best and they simply don't care if a little kid is crying because they can't meet their favorite character. And if I could have a dollar for every time a Disney Cast member rolled their eyes at me on my visit - I would have over $100 dollars - which would cover the cost of my over-priced Disney ticket. I asked Winston to refund my tickets because at this point I never want to go to Disney again. He offered to transfer me to ticketing but reminded me that the tickets are non-refundable. Great customer service Disney! Epic Fail! I am ashamed of you. I've been a loyal Disney fan and guest for forty years. It's a shame that that loyalty was shattered in one visit to the so-called Magic Kingdom. If Disney refuses to do anything to make this right, any future visits to theme parks for my family will be spent at Universal Studios or Busch Gardens. And I mean more than a half-hearted apology and an eye roll!

:confused::sick::p:scared::sad2::sad2::sad2:

If I were Disney, I'd give her season passes to Universal on the condition she doesn't come back to Disney. Win-win! Disney gets rid of her and Universal has to put up with her.

I would think that since she has spread her hate of Disney they wouldn't act to fast to give her any special treatment.. she sounds like a bully to me. Jmo.

This!!!!! Yes!!!!

Yep!! Great idea!!

Not defending her at all, as I think she's a stuck up, entitled witch, but she never said she was a Disney TA. You do have to be certified by Disney to be an official Disney Travel Agent. However, a little bit of common courtesy and common sense would have gone a long way. I just had to laugh my way through the entire post, after picking my jaw up off the floor of course. :rotfl:
