With only 11 sleeps till we leave for WDW I thought I’d post a PTR, just hoping I get round to the actual report when we return!

So without further ado ladies and gentlemen let me introduce our cast of characters:-

BTW re the title of this report I should explain we are celebrating a few milestone birthdays in the world this year....my 40th , DS’s 16th and DDad’s 65th........ so it’s a triple celebration :cheer2:

I'm Adele the writer of this report, having never done a TR before I expect it will be a bit of an eye-opener to me lol!

I've been married to my wonderful DH for 19 yrs and we have an amazing DS who turned 16 earlier in the year. He’s a son to be proud of.... a real nice guy!

This will be our 3rd trip [fell in love with WDW in 2006 ] and each time we have stayed in ASMu and it's suits us just perfectly, plus when you're going from Scotland you need to save as many £s as possible to make into $s so values it will be for now!

Now I have to say my DH and DS both love WDW also, however, they don't "get" my obsession with DIS / planning / countdowns etc etc etc Although they are happy for me to carry on with it so hey ho

We are being accompanied by my parents who are joining us for their 2nd visit to WDW this year having joined us in 2008 and loved it, as you do!

Fav characters:
Me - Tink of course :tinker:
DH - Pluto pluto: [makes him think of our doggy when we are away!]
DS - can't decide who his fav is - likes lots but won't commit to having a fav Must be an age thing :confused3
DD - Tigger :tigger:
DM - Minnie ::MinnieMo

Here we all are in Sci-Fi in 2008!

So the plan of attack looks something like this:-
Fly out of Glasgow into Orlando International with Virgin on Saturday 26th June, have requested seats but DH hoping to secure extra leg room when we arrive very early at the airport!!!

We will just eat in Melody Hall at All Star Music when we arrive, have requested Broadway building. DS is very into the theatre and having been in Rock Inn and Country Fair are hoping for a change of location this time around.

Sunday 27th
We have an unusual tradition for our first day in that we always head to Blizzard Beach for it opening and break ourselves in gently!
We have a Dinner reservation at Planet Hollywood 5pm at DS request. There is evening EMH at MK from 11pm -2am so we’ll see how we last on our first day and may get that teary eyed first glimpse of the castle that night!

Monday 28th
No set plans for park visit today but we have Dinner Reservations at Raglan Road 6.15pm at my parents request, this was their fav last time round!

Wednesday 30th
Definitely an Epcot day as we have a late Lunch Reservation at Le Cellier at 1.40pm, I’m so looking forward to eating here for the first time.

Thursday 1st
We are having a morning by the pool as we have to pick up our hire car at 11am before heading out shopping. Dinner will be at either Ruby Tuesdays at the Florida Mall or The Cheesecake Factory at Mall at Millennia, depending where we are when we get peckish.

Friday 2nd
No plans for park set yet but late afternoon we are heading to Old Town Kissimmee for shopping, dinner and the cars parade [never been here before].

Saturday 3rd
No set plans for park visit today, We have Dinner reservations at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge 5.05pm again new for us, will probably head to MK for evening fireworks.

Happy 4th July
Up early for our only Breakfast reservation at 8.10am Crystal Palace Magic Kingdom, I can’t wait to walk down a relatively quiet Main Street!

We will probably leave MK around lunch time and head back to ASMu to laze round the pool before we drive over to our Dinner reservation at 4.55am at Trails End Restaurant Fort Wilderness Resort .

Monday 5th
Will most likely go to EMH at HS this morning but later on we intend to make this our first visit [hope to squeeze another in] to Celebration for dinner and a seat on the rocking chairs round the lake.

Tuesday 6th / Wednesday 7th / Thursday 8th / Friday 9th
Will choose park visit during our first week have no bookings made – will decide when we are there, will prob eat off site. Just gonna go with the flow!

Saturday 10th
check in at Downtown Disney opens at 8.15am
Car to be returned by 11am
Have a late lunch reservation at Raglan Road at 3pm. Will hang around Downtown and do some last minute shopping before our transfer back to Orlando International for the sad journey home!

So that's it folks a run through of planned events, well what little we have planned anyways :rotfl:. TIA for reading

Your plans sound great, you have some wonderful meals planned too :)

Your plans sound really good, but are you not going to the 4th July fireworks as they are great. My personal preferrence is Epcot - they were out of this world a few years back. It was crowded but so worth the effort.

Have fun

Tina:thumbsup2

Sounds great Adele, we are arriving on the 28th - I'll give you a wave if we meet in passing:)

Where in Scotland are you from? I'm from Ayrshire.

Lorna

Yeah we will be going to see fireworks on the 4th just haven't decided where yet, although we have some set solid plans we are very much go with the flow kinda people :confused3 Epcot is a likely choice for us though so we can enjoy a few refreshments round the world as we wait for them to start:thumbsup2

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

It's time for my single digit dance........only 9 more sleeps and we're off to WDW!

Can't believe how quickly this has rolled round, we booked in Apr 09:scared1:

Still got so much to do tho, it's going to be a hectic few days:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Great pre trippie and your plans sound great, wont be long now:goodvibes

How exciting 3 celebration in one trip and your trip so close you must be bouncing about at the moment I am so excited and have 12 weeks still

Look at my ticker........ we're down to 3 sleeps:banana::banana::banana: and I'm still not organised, it looks like it's going to be a late night on Friday :rotfl:

I've got the suitcases out of the loft, got the toiletries all sitting beside the cases, all of the necessary paperwork is in one place but that's it:scared1:
I'm usually so organised so this is stressing me out but for the life of me I can't seem to get anywhere:rotfl2:

Working up to 3pm on Friday, DH is night shift and he finishes on Friday morning although it's only a short shift til 3am and DS is at school up to 3.30pm on Friday; plus DS has stuff on on both Thursday & Friday nights ....so taxi-ing required:eek:

Got a big ironing out of the way last night so that was a bit of a relief....does anyone actually enjoy ironing?:confused3

Need to get into town to get me more $$$$$ that pesky rate is so disappointing mind you but hey ho there are people worse off than me who aren't going on a holibag so musn't grumble!!

Got butterflies of excitment this morning [even though I can't see the wood for the trees] WDW here we come :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Your plans look great Adele, I hope you have a fab time ::yes::

Thanks Mandy!

Well what a day it's been!

Wasn't too bad work wise I managed to finish at 10.30, got home put 2 loads of washing out :laundy::laundy:, then it was off to town to pick up some last minute bits and pieces that I'd meant to pick up ages ago!

Came home walked Sam [our dog] then DH & I took wee Sam dog to the kennels :sad2: don't like leaving him!

Got home and had a quick lunch and picked DS up early from school as he had a free period, wizzed over to say bye to in-laws, took DS to his wee part time job, came home with a chinese takeaway in hand [diet finished at weigh in this morning at 8am :rotfl2:]

THEN started to pack the cases :rolleyes1 wasn't too bad DH was a good help lifting and laying things luckily we've still got the pre Nov 09 luggage allowance with Virgin so 2 pieces each at 23kg and there is loads of room left in there for all my shopping:cheer2:
Then we hoovered and dusted house top to bottom whilst DH brought in a put away washing, anything that needs ironed is in the pile for when I get home:hug:
Had a quick soak in the bath then cleaned the bathroom
Was watering the garden when DS txtd to say he was finished so went and picked him up, have put all of my documentation into the hand luggage now and poured a glass of rose wine :woohoo:

Ever felt as though you needed a holiday:rotfl2:

Off now to watch BB on C4+1 and will see how soon someone in this house utters the ever immortal night before holidays words

"i can't sleep i'm too excited"

:dance3::yay::woohoo::cool1::banana:" :lmao::lmao:

See you all on my return thanks for tuning in so far I hope I can make an interesting TR for you cause yours are always FAB:flower3::flower3:
