As part of the trip my husband won we had one day at Sea World. We went Dec 28 and like the rest of our trip we didn't make it for park opening but about a half hour later. After taking care of ECV rental and getting our Quick Queue taken care of we started to walk around. One of the first thing we did was get each of our two sons a game pass card. It is $20 but you get $25 worth of games. They have several games that you always win and the small prize is a decent size compared to most parks. After playing a few games we headed to Shamus harbor. At this point there were no lines for the rides so the 10 yr old was able to ride everything there and our 16 yr old even rode a few(he doesn't really like rides. When we got done there we headed to see Clyde and Seamore show. The mime beforehand is really good and the show was good too. We then went to see sharks and continued walking around heading toward dolphin show.
On the way our 10 yr old got to go on Atlantis which is what he had wanted to do since we got there. With quick queue him and my husband were able to go on it 3 times. When I asked him today what his favorite ride in Florida was this is what he said. By that time it was time to get in line for dolphin show. I was not impressed with where they put handicap seating. They let you bring ECV in but park you off to side where you don't get a good view of show. Luckily my husband took boys and sat in better seats because they would have been upset with view. This was a nice show but I didn't think it was their best offering possibly because of where I was sitting and possibly because of people sitting by me who complained and argued whole time.
We walked around some more and ended up splitting up so my husband could take the 10 yr old on Atlantis again. Me and our 16 yr old went shopping. We met up in time to get in line for dine with Shamu which both of our boys had been looking forward to. We ended up waiting in line for awhile until they started checking people in. Then we had our picture taken and went in. The food was good (it was nice not to have burgers or pizza). The boys really enjoyed when the whales came out-we were seated right at the glass, I was glad we did this as it was really nice. While we were in there it started raining. When I went to get my ECV I found that where they had me park it was not under roof and it was all wet. The boys wanted to see the Shamu show so we headed there and waited because at least we were under a roof. The boys sat up front in splash zone and were not disappointed as they both got wet. This was the Christmas show and it was great. We then headed over to Polar express which my husband and 10 yr old did using quick queue. I waited in the store with the 16 yr old because it was pouring outside. The store was not fun as everyone was coming in to get out of rain so I mostly just sat in one spot because I couldn't get ECV through anywhere. We did buy rain ponchos though because it was still raining. Glad we did because we used them next day at US. When they got done Polar Express we decided it was time to head back to hotel because rain wasn't stopping.
We headed toward front of park and realized we still had game passes they never finished using so we headed in search of games for them to play. We found one where you always win and they did that. The lady at that game said there was another game around the corner so we headed to that. We found the game where you shoot water at target and first person to get to top wins. They used the rest of the game money on this since no one else was playing one of them always won. They each won twice and one of the prices the 10 yr old picked was a rather large stuffed candy cane. My husband looked really cute carrying that through airport. Between the two of them I think we had at least 9 stuffed animals so they were happy.
With the games done we headed out. First we had to return ECV and of course they had no complimentary wheelchairs to get me to parking lot. They finally gave us a rental wheelchair to use because it was pretty far from there to where we parked and it was wet so slippery for me to walk. We got stopped exiting because of the wheelchair but they had the complimentary one so I just switched and we were on our way.
Our boys really enjoyed Sea World. i didn't enjoy it as much as Universal because I wasn't able to go on rides like I was at Universal. I also didn't get to see all the shows I wanted to. I am glad we had the opportunity to go there. Last time my husband and I went was probably around 20 years ago and I don't think they had rides then. The Christmas decorations are beautiful esp. at night.

Glad you enjoyed your trip.

I always thought that at the top of the dolphin show was all wheelchair seating even in the middle.

The only ride we do is Atlantis and the kids only like it cause of the water. They dislike the part with Madusa right before the drop. And mommy loves Manta. No one else will do that with me. I am a big coaster junkie :)

Sounds like you had a great trip! :thumbsup2 So glad you got to experience SeaWorld on your vacation. Its a fantastic park!
