Our trip to our "Happy place" w/ pics & videos!!*new 7/7!!*Last day Magic Kingdom**

Its okay.

Will be looking for that update later:cool1:
Thanks for understanding.:goodvibes

Those pictures are too cute!!!:goodvibes

Patiently waiting on that update....popcorn::
Thanks! And thanks for being so patient....:woohoo:

Amy,

It looks like you've joined Leyla and I in posting famous (or infamous) sleeping pics...I think that they're a crack up:lmao:

If you haven't checked Leyla's TR (Pierresgirl), you should. It's great. (I think I've seen you post there).
Yes, I am reading Leyla's report, just about to go catch up with it.I could do an entire post of GP sleeping.

That's too bad that you guys were not able to get seated in a car table at Sci-Fi.

Oh oh, a mommy dilemna moment. What are you going to do.

Nice update as always...:thumbsup2
Nice cliffhanger as always:thumbsup2
Bummer about Sci fi. At least Peyton seemed okay with it.:)

That's too bad that you guys were not able to get seated in a car table at Sci-Fi.

Oh oh, a mommy dilemna moment. What are you going to do.

Hi!Yes we were disapointed but not too much.:goodvibes
I couldn't believe she was changing her mind.:scared1:

Nice update as always...:thumbsup2
Nice cliffhanger as always:thumbsup2
Bummer about Sci fi. At least Peyton seemed okay with it.:)
Hi! Yes ,I was glad Peyton was too upset.:goodvibes Thanks for the compliments.:cool2:

You fell asleep tsk tsk ;) :rotfl2:

"Yes....but not in a car but at a regular table.":sad2:
 isn't the only reason you dine there to eat in a car?

It was now 11:15am and it didn't open until 11:30am.
We had that problem too, we were desperate for an ice cream/cold drink about 10.30am in AK and nothing open

I was worried that Rachel would be scared after TOT but she didn't hesitate to ride a new ride. She laughed and screamed through the entire journey.:thumbsup2
You've got a dare devil in the making there :rotfl2:

"I rather see Indiana Jones than the Pep Rally."
Oooooo another cliff hanger!!!

Great update! We want to eat at Sci Fi next time too! It's been awhile since I've been there!

Uh, oh, I sense drama coming! :lmao:

Sorry about the Sci Fi, but it seems like you were happy enough.

We pulled up to the Contemporary a few minutes after 6:00pm and our ressie is for 6:10pm.I let everyone out at the door because we weren’t going to get the ECV out of the van.I told them to head up to the restaraunt to check in and I would park. All of the handicapped spaces were gone so I had to park at the end of the parking lot in one of the few spaces available.I hiked to the entance and took the elvator upstairs.I found my parents waiting in a huge line.:scared1: I wish I had taken a picture of this line but it did move quickly.
Disney2007061.jpg

It was about 6:20 when we checked in and we found seats to wait for our pager to flash.:bored: We didn’t stand in line to have our picture taken in front of the big plate because I knew we wouldn’t buy it and the line was pretty long.We were a cranky group:scared: as we waited. We were all starving and the kids were restless. We were entertained by a family who was having trouble controlling their kids.A little girl and boy probably about three and four years old kept running from their table and then a teenager would run after them.He never could catch them so then the father would get up and yell at the older kid for not catching them.:sad2: This happened four or five times.
Disney2007048.jpg

Finally about 7:00pm our table was ready.:woohoo: The waitress explained how the characters worked but our main concern at this point was food!I waited at the table with Rae while everyone else got their first plate full. Then I went up and got mine and Rachel’s.I have to say nothing much about the food here stands out with me.We all liked the chicken and mashed potatos and the Mickey shaped pasta was a hit with Rachel and Peyton. It wasn’t bad and wasn’t outstanding either.:confused3
(Peyton remembered to take this picture but after I had already started eating)
Disney2007070.jpg

We all got full and there were no complaints.Would we return?Yes, but probably for breakfast-the characters are a must do every trip.:goodvibes

cont. in next post....

I'm playing catch up with all my threads and just wanted to let you know that I am still here.

Chef Mickey's looks cool but I'm glad I didn't book it now. It looks so crowded!! For just a couple w/o kids that looks like it'd be too crazy. I'm off to read more

Mickey came first and signed their books and joked around with Peyton a little bit.
Disney2007069.jpg

After Mickey it was time for some napkin twirling.
(Sorry the pictures are blurry, the setting was wrong and I didn’t realize it until after I took some pictures)
Disney2007072.jpg

Disney2007074.jpg

Disney2007075.jpg

Disney2007077-1.jpg

The next character to come to the table was Minnie.
Disney2007080.jpg

After Minnie was Donald Duck. This was a surprise because last time we saw Chip and Dale.
Disney2007082.jpg

Disney2007083.jpg

Mickey came by again and I asked to have his picture taken with GP.
Disney2007084.jpg

Pluto was right behind Mickey.
Disney2007085.jpg

Disney2007086.jpg

Disney2007088.jpg

We all had dessert
Disney2007071.jpg

and were ready to leave when Goofy made it to our table. This is the only character Rae was a little shy with for some reason but she warmed up to him.
Disney2007089.jpg

Disney2007090.jpg

We were waiting to sign our bill slips when it was time for another napkin twirl!
Disney2007093-1.jpg

All through dinner the kids, mainly Peyton, talked about going to Epcot.Epcot was having EMH and they wanted to ride Test Track at night.I was afraid they were tired and would get grouchy but decided to go ahead and take them.:goodvibes

:offtopic: Sidenote:My kids are night owls. You will see as the report progresses that they can stay up late and get up the next morning ready to go.Even at home it is not unusual for Rachel and Peyton to still be awake at 11:00pm on a school night. We put them to bed but they don’t go to sleep.

First though I wanted to look in the gift shop at the Contemporary.I ended up buying us all jibbitz. I got the Mickey hat I had been wanting,Rachel picked out Ariel, and Rebekah and Peyton got the Mickey hands.I later found out that GM had fallen coming into the contemporary.:sad1: I was watching the kids and never even realized it.She had a nasty bruise on her knee the next day.Peyton also bought a Test Track model car for him and GP to put together. We finished our shopping and I hiked to the van and brought it to the front door for GM and GP.After seeing them off ,the kids and I took the monorail to the TTC (I think that is where you transfer) and then got on the monorail to Epcot!

Next up....would the waits be too long to ride Test Track??

what's the napkin twirl thing all about? That looks fun.

The pictures with the characters are awesome. It's rare to see Donald at a character dining. :donald:

Hope you got to ride Test Track @ night. I'm sure that's awesome!! :thumbsup2

We got on the monorail to Epcot and the kids were being really silly.. Me+three silly rambunctous kids.:scared1:
Disney2007096.jpg

We were almost to Epcot when the monorail car slowed and then stopped.Illuminations was happening and it was beautiful.
Disney2007095.jpg

Disney2007098.jpg

I was torn between enjoying the view and getting to Test Track before the crowds left Illuminations and headed to Future World.I decided to relax and just enjoy.

We arrived at Epcot and walked as fast as we could to the gates and hurried through bag check and ticket scan.I know we got EMH bracelets but I don’t remember where or when for some reason.
All of a sudden rushing didn't matter and we stopped to look around. The fountains, the music, the lights-it was all so beautiful.
I love Epcot at night.
Disney2007099.jpg

We walked over to Test Track and the standby line was saying 40 minute wait.:headache: I know my kids and they are line snobs but this time they didn’t care. They were ready to ride!:woohoo: I expected someone to stop us so that Rachel could be measured but noone even looked twice at her.In fact she was only measured twice the entire trip by CMs.

The kids were great in line and made friends with a couple behind us in line. They like to look at all the stuff throughout the line anyway.
(In this picture they were looking at a cool fan.)
Disney2007100.jpg

(Our new line friends offered to take a pic of us)
Disney2007101.jpg

Disney2007102.jpg

I was afraid that Rae would get nervous when the lights went off for the intro movie but I was wrong. She was more intent on climbing the railings.I swear she turned into a little monkey on this trip climbing everything she got near.

Rebekah and Peyton sat together in the back of the car and Rachel sat between me and a teenage girl who was riding for the first time. She was really nervous and asking a ton of questions about what was going to happen.Rae looked at her and said”don’t worry Sissy said its like riding with my mommy and she only scares daddy”.:rolleyes1
(Peyton is "chewing" his nervous habit if chewing the inside of his cheek)
Disney2007097.jpg

Disney2007103.jpg

Disney2007104.jpg

If you haven’t ridden this ride at night then do it! It is fun during the day but FANTASTIC at night!BTW,it took us 40 min from the time we entered the line to walking out. That’s not too bad.:goodvibes
Disney2007105.jpg

cont in next post....

:yay: for illuminations! I LOVE those fireworks. I think they're my fav

 40 min wait! wow! at least the kids were good for you and ya'll made some new friends that were nice enough to do a group shot for ya'll :goodvibes i love disney attitudes :thumbsup2

thats funny about what your DD said about the ride being like it was you driving and you only scare your DH :lmao: kids really do say the dardest things.

The picture of ya'll on Test Track is funny. I like how you're not even paying attention to the ride :lmao:

We walk toward the Land to see what the Soarin’ line looks like but stop at the new Nemo ride first.
Disney2007106.jpg

We walked right on and Peyton and Rebekah rode together and Rae rode with me.She wanted to ride with the other kids more but she kept trying to climb out of moving rides to see things while with me or GM:eek: so I kept her with me.The older kids say this ride is the “Nemo It’s a Small World”. Its pretty and I am glad we did it but once was enough.Or was it?:rolleyes1 Rachel loved it and still talks about it often.:goodvibes
Disney2007107.jpg

Disney2007108.jpg

Disney2007109.jpg

Disney2007115.jpg

We checked on the line for Soarin’ but the wait was 50 minutes:eek: so we went on Living With The Land.My kids could ride this ride a hundred times.:teacher:
Disney2007119.jpg

Disney2007120.jpg

They wanted to do some more things but I was ready to go.It was almost 11:00pm and we had been going since 7:00am.
Disney2007121.jpg

We made the loong walk to the bus and boy was that line long.We got onto the second bus and people were crammed in on top of each other. My older two always stand on crowded buses and Rae was in my lap.

:offtopic: Last year we took the boat from Wilderness Lodge to MK and Rachel started screaming and trying to leap out of my arms.At one point another woman was helping me hold onto her because she was trying to climb out the window.:scared1:

Rachel almost imediately started freaking out.She was screaming “get me out of here” at the top of her lungs. She was kicking and trying to hit me and bite me.I held onto her and Peyton and Rebekah moved in front of us so that she wouldn’t hit anyone. Some very kind people tried to help me but she was out of control.I don’t think she could hear me.At one point I looked at Peyton and he had tears streaming and he later told me he was afraid I was hurting her because I was holding her so tight.:sad1: That was the longest bus ride it seemed and she didn’t stop until we got off of the bus.She layed in her stroller taking big breaths all the way back to the room. When we got back to the room I asked her why she screamed on the bus and tried to hurt mommy. She was completely surprised and didn’t remember any of it. :confused3 The kids showered and fell asleep almost immediately.I took my shower, jotted a few notes, and got ready for the next day.

Next up...would we be able to handle the heat at Animal Kingdom??Would GM ride EE??

Plus we add a wheelchair to our entourage.....:guilty:

I agree that the Nemo ride is a one timer. I also like living with the land.

50 min for soarin! wow  im glad i got a fastpass for that ride. it's sooo cool!

:scared1: wow, that's so weird that your DD doesn't remember the freak out on the bus. I know some ppl are prone to doing that when they are closterphobic...maybe she's closterphobic and then doesn't remember because it was so traumatizing? :confused3 very strainge indeed.

glad you made it back to your room safely and in bed :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Animal Kingdom

Disney2007194.jpg

We arrived at EE and GM said she wanted to ride again.:woohoo: We found some shade for GP and the still sleeping Rachel and we were off to use our first set of FPs.We went through the line without stopping and GM loved the way I took the corners with her wheelchair.:rotfl2: The CM told us to get in line for the last two cars on the rollercoaster.Rebekah was going to ride with me and Peyton was with GM.I looked at Peyton and UH OH! That boy was chewing like mad and picking his fingers.SIDENOTE: Peyton chews on the inside of his mouth alot but especially when upset/nervous.He has also started picking the skin off the tips of his fingers.:sad2: END SIDENOTE
I switched him and Bekah and asked what was wrong.Keep in mind that he has ridden this ride earlier and about 6 times our last trip.He said he didn't want to ride in the back, that he can tell it will be wild. I asked him if he wanted to get out of line and he said no just please hold his hand.I should have taken him and left the line.As soon as the ride started to move he started freaking out.He screamed"HOLD ME!!" over and over.:sad1: I thought he was going to be sick all over both of us and was shaking all over when it ended.:sad1:
Disney2007195.jpg

Disney2007197.jpg

Disney2007201.jpg

I was going to take him over and sit him with GP so that we could use our second set of FPs but he said he was ready to ride again, just not in the back. We walked right through the line again and I asked if he could please ride in the middle, which was no problem, and Bekah and I decided to ride in the front car.:woohoo: We all had a blast on our last rides on EE.

Next up...Dinoland....will I finally get to ride Dinosaur??....

awww poor DS :sad2: great pictures of the 2nd ride though. :thumbsup2

Animal Kingdom

We left EE and it was almost 4:00pm and I was worried we would be caught by the parade.:scared: We had one more "must do" at Animal Kingdom and that was Primeval Whirl or Primeval Hurl as we like to call it.BTW Rachel has been asleep two hours at this time.I am lucky to get a one hour nap out of her at home.
Disney2007211.jpg

Disney2007213.jpg

GP finds a shady spot to wait for us just outside Dinoland and the rest of us get in line.
Disney2007215.jpg

Disney2007216.jpg

I ask the CM how long the wait is and he says maybe ten minutes. It ends up being closer to 30 minutes!: I would have never waited that long but Bekah loves it.She is hilarious to ride with because she giggles extemely loud the entire time.:rotfl: I even heard Peyton laugh outloud a few times andGM ended up loving it also.:thumbsup2
Disney2007223.jpg

Disney2007224.jpg

Disney2007228.jpg

Disney2007229.jpg

By the time we wait/ride it is about 4:45pm and I am wondering if I should wake Rachel. She has been waiting all day to ride the flying dinos. We get back to where we left GP and they aren't there. We find GP close by talking to Pappy and GiGi has taken Rae to the bathroom. She is in an awesome mood after her almost three hour nap.:thumbsup2 She comes out and we rush to ride the Dinos.
Disney2007231.jpg

Disney2007233.jpg

While we are doing this GP takes Bekah to the Boneyard and Peyton takes GM with him to play a few carnival games. We all are determined to make the most of our last minutes in AK.:goodvibes I had really wanted to ride Dinosaur but it will have to wait until next time.:goodvibes

We all meet up at 5:00pm just outside Dinoland.Peyton showed us all his winnings from the games which were two stuffed frogs and a stuffed snake.Of course Bekah got upset because she didn't have anything.:scared: But we didn't have time for that!I had just realized that our ADR at Kona was at 5:30pm and not at 6:00pm like I thought.:furious: I rushed everyone to the exit but on the way I realized there was no way that GM could walk from where we turned in her wheelchair to our car.She was having trouble walking the few steps to get on the rides.:guilty:

At the wheelchair return I asked for a wheelchair to get her to the car and after a few moments of confusion one was found.:yay: We got to the van and I loaded the ECV and stroller while Rebekah and Rachel quickly changed clothes .We found the Poly easily and arrived a few minutes after 5:30pm.GP said he would pay for valet parking to save time and my legs  and Peyton jumped out to go ask for a wheelchair.I took the girls in with me to check in and the rest of them caught up with us after just a few minutes.:woohoo:

Next up...Kona cafe....will I convince the kids to back to the room after dinner....:rolleyes1

the dino whirl looks like fun. It's always more fun to ride with someone that enjoys a ride...it makes it more enjoyable for the rest

glad to hear that your youngest DD got such a long nap in.

I can't wait to read about Kona...I want to do dinner either there or at Ohana with my In-Laws next december. :thumbsup2

Kona Cafe

***WARNING***
I wanted to go ahead and warn everyone that I am not a very good food critic. I like food but I am extremely picky and usually eat plain food.I am that adult eating off the kids portion of the buffets.I will do my best on the food/restaraunt portion of my trip report but don't expect too many details.

Disney2007235.jpg

Our pager went off about five minutes after we checked in,just enough time to catch our breath from all the rushing. My first reaction was that the restaraunt was beautiful, elegant and calm and my redneck kids were bouncing off the walls and talking way to loudly. I whispered threatening things in their ears and they calmed down -a little.

We were seated with the kids in boothlike seats on one side and GP and I in chairs with GM in her wheelchair at the end. This will drive me nuts for the rest of the meal because Rae thinks that booth seats are for laying down.I was constantly telling her to sit up.

We were starving so we asked to order our appetizers along with our drinks. The waiter said that we could get an nonalcholic drink along with our soda on the dining plan. The kids had been begging for strawberry daqairis so we got them those which Peyton and Rebekah loved and Rae said she liked hers but didn't drink it.
Disney2007238.jpg

Our appetizers arrived quickly.I got the sticky wings which were delicious and Bekah and Peyt shared with me.
Disney2007237.jpg

GM and GP had the Lump Crab Cakes which he said were "excellent".
Disney2007236.jpg

The crab cakes came with chopsticks and they handed these off to Bekah and Peyton. Not a good idea. They became drumsticks and were confiscated immediately.

For our entrees GM and I had Beef Teriyaki, a 10 ounce sirloin strip grilled with pineapple teriyaki sauce, mashed Yukon gold potatoes, and stir-fried broccoli florets.
Disney2007241.jpg

I loved this . GM enjoyed hers too.
GP had Shrimp and Scallops, a panko breaded shrimp and pan seared scallops with sticky rice and ponzu, spicy guava-passion fruit and wasabi cream sauces. He said that the shrimp and scallops were very good but he didn't like the sticky rice.
Disney2007242.jpg

Peyton and Rachel had Grilled Chicken Strips with macaroni topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella, served with veggies and fruit salad.
Disney2007239.jpg

Peyton liked the pasta and Rae only ate a little of her fruit. Rebekah had Grilled Fish of the Day served with whole-grain pilaf, veggies, and yogurt parfait.
Disney2007240.jpg

She didn't like the fish which surprised me because she is not picky at all. She did eat the parfait.

We were way too full to order dessert but we had to because it was free.:teeth: I had the kiddie Kone which was HUGE!I barely made a dent in it but it was very good.
Disney2007247.jpg

GM had the Cremebrulee(I know that's not spelled correctly but its not on the menu I have) but she barely ate any of it.I don't even have a picture.
Can't remember why. GP had the Apple Brown Betty, a sliced apple, cinnamon, nuts, and a streusel topping served with vanilla ice cream.
Disney2007246.jpg

He seemed to really like it.:goodvibes The kids had sundaes that they got to make themselves and Rebekah and Peyton loved doing this but Rae didn't touch hers as usual. We payed out of pocket because the fruit/parfait was considered their desserts. The only picture I have are of the sprinkles.Peyton loved when he got to have Mickey sprinkles.:goodvibes
Disney2007244.jpg

The discussion at dinner had been about what to do after dinner.GM said that she was going to go back to the room and elevate her foot with an icepack.By now it looked like and elephant foot.:guilty: The kids and I decided to take the monorail to MK.They were all in a great mood and Rachel was not tired at all after her long nap.It was time to shop!!!!

:offtopic: The other night DH made chicken pot pie and we were talking about how good it looked.Rae yelled "where's the camera? We need a picture of it!":rotfl2:

Would the kids find what they wanted??Would I lose any kids trying to shop with three by myself in the crowded stores??:scared1:

even though you say you're not one that's good with reviewing resturants you made me want to go to Kona! Great review!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2 The food looks AMAZING!! I'm salavating now and I have to wait over a year to eat there grrrr! You're steak looks sooo good. And that ice cream cone...omg does that ever look good. I would've been excited about mickey shaped sprinkles too

thanks for the great review!

and I'm :lmao: at the fact that your kids wanted to take a picture of your food at home. That's just too funny.

Shopping at Mk

The kids really wanted to shop and had $$ to burn so I decided Mainstreet was just what we needed. GM and GP took the car back to POP to elevate her ankle and we got on the monorail.Every time we tried to get the front of the monorail this trip it was taken and we never felt like waiting.

We got to MK and went to the left side of the street to the long row of stores that connect. Can't remember the name:confused3 but we love this store. We arrived about 7:30pm and I wanted to make our purchases and be out before the Wishes crowd.:rolleyes1 BTW,I didn't have a stroller with me this evening.:scared1: We went through the stores by section and I told the older two not to leave a section without me.This worked out perfectly.Peyton was on a mission to find a big Goofy .He asked a CM and was told that they had a big Mickey but we would need to go to Toontown to get the big Goofy.:sad2:

We got to the Princess section and Rachel went from item to item squealing. She hadn't bought anything so far this trip so she had $60 to spend.I cautioned her against picking out so much that she wouldn't have any money left. She looked at me and said "I don't want money I want stuff!":rotfl2:
Disney2007251.jpg

She made her final decisions. She decided to buy a Disney babydoll,a small Marie and carrier, some Princess rings,a little tiara and I think something else that I can't remember.I do know that the total came up to $59.48.:rotfl: That girl knows how to shop!:woohoo: Rebekah also bought a tiara and Peyton bought a Goofy that feels like a pillow but still wanted to go to Toontown to see if he could find the elusive Goofy.

We took the train to Toontown
(You can tell it had been a long day-they were starting to look rough!)
Disney2007258.jpg

Disney2007255.jpg

and went straight to the store in the tent.Again I don't know the name.:goodvibes He went straight to a CM and was told that the Goofy wasn't made in a bigger size than the one he already has.UH OH.I saw a meltdown coming...but no ,he was disapointed but handled himself well.:thumbsup2 We found those stations with the Mr.Potato and My Little Pony parts and the girls played with them for a few minutes.
Disney2007257.jpg

Disney2007256.jpg

Disney2007253.jpg

Rebekah thought about stuffing a box but couldn't part with her money.A CM came around and asked Rae if she needed help filling a box.She said "No maam I'm broke.":lmao: Peyton looked around but didn't see anything he wanted and we left the store.
Disney2007259.jpg

The girls wanted to go through Minnie and Mickey's houses but they were packed and even had people waiting in line to get in.Peyton looked at me with those big blue eyes and asked "Mama can we go ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad??"

Would I stick to the original plan and get them out before the crowds headed for the bus??

awesome shopping trip :thumbsup2 your youngest DD really does know how to shop. Your oldest seems to be a $ saver and that is a good thing :thumbsup2 that sounds like me and my sister growing up. I was the spender and she was the saver :rotfl:

That stinks that your DS couldn't find a bigger goofy than the one he has :sad2: maybe you can find it online?

off to read more..im almost caught up :yay:

MGM

The phone rang at 7:45am for my wake up call .I picked it up and hung it back up without listening. It was probably Stitch anyway.:headache: My whole body hurt so badly I didn't know if I could move.I drug myself out of bed, took some advil, and started getting ready. At 8:00am I woke the kids gently by throwing their bags of clothes at them.:goodvibes By 8:15 we were all ready to go and munching on poptarts, cereal bars or fruit.I knock on GM and GP's room and am surprised to see GM walking around.:yay: Her ankle looks horrible and I can tell its hurting but she insists on walking. All day.:guilty: No Drs for her today!:woohoo:

It was almost 9:00am by the time we loaded everyone and everything and headed toward MGM.We unloaded and almost made it to the entrance before the group needed to shop.Yes that's right on this day we didn't even make it into the park. GP bought Peyton the Goofy hat that he had had his eye on for a while.
Disney2007243.jpg

Disney2007245.jpg

Purchase made we were able to enter the park.We had decided that I would go get FPs for RnRC while the rest went to Star Tours.Rae wanted to go with me so we walked toward that area together having one of those "moments".Those of you with multiple kids probably understand. The "moments" are when you get to spend time with one child and get to really talk.We were talking about what she would see that day, etc.

She suddenly stopped.And pointed.
"What's that ,mama?"
"Whats what ,Rae?"
"The big building."
"Oh ,that's Tower of Terror."
"Why are the people screaming?"
"Because some are scared and some are having fun and like to scream."
"I'm not scared."
"I'm sure you aren't.Lets go get our FPs."
"I want to ride TOT.Now.Please, Mama!"
:scared1:

Disney2007318.jpg

What should I do? Should I lie and say she's not tall enough?Should I let my three year old ride TOT?

OMG! She wanted to ride ToT!!?? You have one tough cookie there girl! I can't believe she wanted to ride. Now I have to go see if it happened.

Update on Grandma

I decided to give everyone an update on GM.All of you have been so sweet with your concern ,I didn't want to drag it out but let you know the ending results of the injury.

She stayed incredibly swollen and in pain the rest of the trip but insisted on limping along instead of using a wheelchair. She did end her days earlier than normal because of it but thats the only thing differently she did.She went to her orthopedist when we got home.He did xrays but found no broken bones.:goodvibes He did other tests because he thought she had a blood clot.None of those either.:goodvibes It turns out the old injury was traumatized. The walking she did probably kept her from getting the blood clots. She stayed out of work for three days and stayed off of it and the swelling started to recede. It is completely healed now.:goodvibes

glad to hear GM is a-ok and all healed now with no broken bones :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I last left you with me debating wether or not to let Rae ride TOT.All I could think of was April 2005.I talked Peyton(then 7 yrs old) and Rebekah(then 6 yrs old) into riding TOT and they screamed and cried through the entire ride.Peyton couldn't stop shaking afterwards.:sad1:

I know Rachel and I knew she would talk about TOT all day.I told her yes she could ride it.:rolleyes1 I knew there was no way she would ride after seeing all the theming in the line plus the pre-show.This is the girl that didn't like POTC and was nervous of the dark in Peter Pan.We got in line and I almost immediately started to get stange looks from the group in front of me.It was a man and woman and two teenage girls. We walked almost all the way through the line before stopping just outside the doors to the preshow.I kept waiting for the woman to say something, you could tell she wanted to.I continued asking Rae if she was sure she wanted to ride and giving all the reasons she might not want to.For example:dark, big drops, ghosts, etc.

The woman turned to me and said "I don't know if you have ever ridden this but it may be too intense for your little girl."
Now I am not confrontational AT ALL but I didn't like her tone of voice.
I replied that yes I had ridden it and my daughter was just fine.I may not want Rachel to ride it but I wasn't going to be judged either.:scared:
She muttered something about parents and little kids but I didn't catch it because she turned away.:snooty:

We were let into the small room and Rachel asked me to pick her up.She was quiet through the little movie and I thought she had changed her mind but she was determined to ride.:scared1: I could tell she was nervous but refused to change her mind. The woman and her family went to the left elevator so we stayed to the right.:thumbsup2 We were behind a family with a little girl not too much older than Rae.We stared talking and it turned out the little girl was five years old and was scared to death but her parents wanted her to try it.Rachel said "Just sceam and you will have fun."

We got on and were in the front row.I buckled us both in and all of a sudden she looked terrified. I said "lets get off" and started to get her up."No! I am going to ride!"Well okay...

The entire ride she made no sounds and gripped the sides of her seat. She didn't say anything while I got her unbuckled after it was over. She just stood up and walked into the hallway with the strangest look on her face.Once we got almost to the shop she said "Pickey me up,mama."
She put a hand on each side of my face and looked me staight in the eyes(thats what I do to get Peyton's attention) and said in a very calm voice "I DO NOT like that ride.BUT I rode it.":woohoo:

For the rest of the day anyone that spoke to her found out that she was brave enough to ride TOT but "she DID NOT like it.":rotfl2:

Later she told me this was her Tower of Terror face...

There were no pictures to put with this installment so I decided to post a little video. This was later in the day when she was sleepy andnot wanting to be still.

OMG I can't believe she rode it. That's so awesome. That's funny the way she told you she didn't like the ride and her "tot face" makes me :lmao: your daughter is just adorable. That's a memory that just the two of you will have for the rest of your lives :cloud9: :goodvibes

It was a few minutes before 11:00am as we walked toward Sci Fi.I was hoping that the early time would help us get a seat in the restaraunt. We passed the Monsters Inc. characters and I wanted the kids to get their picture with them but they weren't interested.:guilty:

We arrived at the entrance to Sci Fi and everyone waited outside while I asked about availability. The CM looked and said "Yes....but not in a car but at a regular table.":sad2: I told him I would ask the rest of my party. After I explained what was available Peyton said he didn't want to eat there and the rest didn't care so I told the CM we wouldn't be taking the table.I promised Peyton that we would have an ADR there on our next trip.

We decided on Backlot Express for our lunch but when we got there it wasn't open.:confused3 It was now 11:15am and it didn't open until 11:30am.No problem,Star Tours was right next door with a 10 minute wait.:thumbsup2 GP was happy waiting for us while pondering his map.I don't think I have mentioned this but GP seemed to be obsessed with those maps.:rotfl2: Every time I turned to him he was studying one.

The rest of us walked through the long but empty line.I took several pictures but most of them were awful.

I was worried that Rachel would be scared after TOT but she didn't hesitate to ride a new ride. She laughed and screamed through the entire journey.:thumbsup2

Backlot Express was open when we came out.We got in line and Rebekah wanted chicken tenders and Peyton wanted a hamburger. Are these items on the kids menu? Nope. Well I decided that they could get what they wanted and I would pay out of pocket.I had already forced them several times to choose from the children's menu when they didn't want to.They each got a combo meal and a drink and the total was $19.58.Oh well we were on vacation.:cloud9: I got the double cheeseburger combo and payed out of pocket for a bun and Rachel and I each had a burger. The food here was pretty good-standard counter service.

While we were eating we discussed what to do next.We had to split up if everyone was going to see their "must dos".It was decided that GP and Peyton would go to Indiana Jones while the girls,GM and I went to the High School Musical Pep Rally and Beauty and the Beast.

Everything was settled and we were headed out the door when I noticed Rebekah had her "drama queen sour face" on.

"What's wrong ,Bekah?"
"I want to see Indiana Jones."
"You know we don't have time to see everything."
"I rather see Indiana Jones than the Pep Rally."
:scared1:  :scared: WHAT??!! She had talked for weeks about the pep rally.I knew if she didn't see it she would regret it.I also knew there would be other opportunities for her to see Indiana Jones.

Would I be able to talk some sense into her???Would we see the Pep Rally??

Here a couple of pictures of the kids at Sci Fi in 2006 since we missed it this trip.

that stinks that you couldn't get into sifi but backlot express is a good CS meal. We eat there on almost every trip. :thumbsup2

Yay for everyone enjoying Star Tours :goodvibes

I'm not framiliar with the whole high school musical stuff so I can't really comment here but hopefully you talked her into going to the pep ralley so she wouldn't regret it later on. thats something that probably won't be there for long. :confused3

I'm alll caught up   GO ME!! I'm on a roll today!! Can't wait to read the next update!

felt like deja vu, seeing it all for the second time. :rotfl2:
