Our trip to our "Happy place" w/ pics & videos!!*new 7/7!!*Last day Magic Kingdom**

I am so glad to hear that GM is doing well. She is one tough cookie. (cookies are good)
I am always surprised at how brave Rae is. I hope you take her on it!! I know I love it and I am sure she will too. And if you didn't.........there is your next once in life time trip:rotfl2:

:surfweb:

AW! Amy, that brought such a sweet smile to my face as did all the happy's from everyone else so glad it made his day....:goodvibes

Wonderful, that she is better and no real damage was done from the trip, guess it was a good thing she kept on walking huh?

BTW those "moments", I so understand. Thursdays are the only day DD #2 doesn't have a morning commitment (ie school or Wed. morning Bible club) so I try to do something special with her each week, today bought those pre-made chocolate chip cookies and we made those together...I feel like a real domestic goddess today even making beef-stew in the crock pot so DH has a real dinner tonight as we pass each other on these nights with him going to school and us getting in late after DS's OT therapy :hippie: sorry for the tangent.

Hoping you updated as I was scrolling through to the end, so what did you and Rae do???? Hoping can get DD #1 on it with me next year, so I don't have to go it alone agian. Not that I mind, but it's fun with a pal :)

Till next time,

me:mickeyjum

OH PS thanks for thinking of my DS last week....he's been having a rough last couple...
HI! First I want to say I am sorry DS is having a rough time.
Yes it was a good thing she walked but it sure was hard to watch her do it.:scared:

O.K., just found you and am getting caught up. Hey, TOT with a 3 year old, sounds familiar, we did it and she's already asking to ride it again this next year, she loved it, can't wait to see what you decided. Loving this TR and all the pics, great job, glad you did this! Can't wait for more.
Lesley

I last left you with me debating wether or not to let Rae ride TOT.All I could think of was April 2005.I talked Peyton(then 7 yrs old) and Rebekah(then 6 yrs old) into riding TOT and they screamed and cried through the entire ride.Peyton couldn't stop shaking afterwards.:sad1:

I know Rachel and I knew she would talk about TOT all day.I told her yes she could ride it.:rolleyes1 I knew there was no way she would ride after seeing all the theming in the line plus the pre-show.This is the girl that didn't like POTC and was nervous of the dark in Peter Pan.We got in line and I almost immediately started to get stange looks from the group in front of me.It was a man and woman and two teenage girls. We walked almost all the way through the line before stopping just outside the doors to the preshow.I kept waiting for the woman to say something, you could tell she wanted to.I continued asking Rae if she was sure she wanted to ride and giving all the reasons she might not want to.For example:dark, big drops, ghosts, etc.

The woman turned to me and said "I don't know if you have ever ridden this but it may be too intense for your little girl."
Now I am not confrontational AT ALL but I didn't like her tone of voice.
I replied that yes I had ridden it and my daughter was just fine.I may not want Rachel to ride it but I wasn't going to be judged either.:scared:
She muttered something about parents and little kids but I didn't catch it because she turned away.:snooty:

We were let into the small room and Rachel asked me to pick her up.She was quiet through the little movie and I thought she had changed her mind but she was determined to ride.:scared1: I could tell she was nervous but refused to change her mind. The woman and her family went to the left elevator so we stayed to the right.:thumbsup2 We were behind a family with a little girl not too much older than Rae.We stared talking and it turned out the little girl was five years old and was scared to death but her parents wanted her to try it.Rachel said "Just sceam and you will have fun."

We got on and were in the front row.I buckled us both in and all of a sudden she looked terrified. I said "lets get off" and started to get her up."No! I am going to ride!"Well okay...

The entire ride she made no sounds and gripped the sides of her seat. She didn't say anything while I got her unbuckled after it was over. She just stood up and walked into the hallway with the strangest look on her face.Once we got almost to the shop she said "Pickey me up,mama."
She put a hand on each side of my face and looked me staight in the eyes(thats what I do to get Peyton's attention) and said in a very calm voice "I DO NOT like that ride.BUT I rode it.":woohoo:

For the rest of the day anyone that spoke to her found out that she was brave enough to ride TOT but "she DID NOT like it.":rotfl2:

Later she told me this was her Tower of Terror face...

There were no pictures to put with this installment so I decided to post a little video. This was later in the day when she was sleepy andnot wanting to be still.

Awwwwwwwww

What a little darling face :cutie:

She's probably scarred for life :rotfl2:

J/J ;)

Great job Rae! I am so proud of you!:cool1: You may not have liked it, but at least you tried it!

Loved the video! Oh to have that much energy again! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Awww, brave little Rae riding the TOT. I loved her TOT face.:lmao:

As for the family in line I am sure their intentions were good but they should have minded their own business. It is not like you were forcing a child who was screaming and crying and clearly not wanting to go on. In fact it was the opposite, you were trying to talk her out of it.

I'm impressed she went on it! Mine saw it said no way! You go Rae!
Hi! I was a nervous wreck letting her but it was funny to see her so proud.:goodvibes

I would have not minded at all someone giving me advice in line. Her tone of voice was horrible as was the look on her face .:snooty: :headache: Oh well...I actually come across someone 1,000 times worse than that in attitude on day four...:rolleyes1

Wow! She rode it. AWESOME JOB RAE.

Person who had issues in front of you also believes OJ didn't do it.;)

Good for her! And by the way, that is exactly how I feel about TOT!

What a brave girl and I love how she was so proud of herself for riding :goodvibes

And those people really should have minded there own business, if you'd been dragging her on maybe but not with it being her idea!

WTG RAE:goodvibes

Don't you just looooovvveeee when other people make comments to you about how you are raiding your kids. We were the same way with Jimmy on POTC. He kept saying he wanted to ride, but he hated it last year. We kept asking him if he was sure and he said yes. I could see the looks I was getting and just ignored them. The wind up was the Jimmy LOVED POTC!:thumbsup2

That's great that she rode it!!!

Do you think she'll ever do it again?:confused3
