Our trip to our "Happy place" w/ pics & videos!!*new 7/7!!*Last day Magic Kingdom**

I so wish my 4 year old would have gone on it with me... waiting to see if you take advantage of a mommy and Rae moment.
HI!Thanks for reading.:goodvibes Do you think your DD would have liked it?

I can't wait to find out if you ride with Rae, Amy! She's so brave. I can't stand listening to the people screaming before I ride. Even though I've ridden it many times, the people screaming freaks me out! :scared1:

Good update. Too short. :goodvibes Gosh, poor GM. She's so tough!
Hi Mel.:goodvibes I left it short on purpose.:cool2: The screams are what caught her attention in the first place. She is brave...but that brave?!:confused3
Aww that's so sweet did he see the one from England on TFW?????

:rotfl2:

Oh wow brave little girl, so did you? Did you? popcorn::

He saw your birthday wishes Jo.
You will have to see.....

Update on Grandma

I decided to give everyone an update on GM.All of you have been so sweet with your concern ,I didn't want to drag it out but let you know the ending results of the injury.

She stayed incredibly swollen and in pain the rest of the trip but insisted on limping along instead of using a wheelchair. She did end her days earlier than normal because of it but thats the only thing differently she did.She went to her orthopedist when we got home.He did xrays but found no broken bones.:goodvibes He did other tests because he thought she had a blood clot.None of those either.:goodvibes It turns out the old injury was traumatized. The walking she did probably kept her from getting the blood clots. She stayed out of work for three days and stayed off of it and the swelling started to recede. It is completely healed now.:goodvibes

I want to say one last thing on the Birthday wishes topic and then I am going to let it go.I guess I should have put it in another thread but I did what I did and it helped my son through a bad evening. We got home from the football game and he was upset because his birthday didn't seem like a birthday. His party is Saturday.I brought him in and let him read all of the wonderful birthday wishes and he said "mama ,I got Happy Birthdays from people all over the world! Even Paris and New York!" He went to bed with a huge smile on his face.Thank you everyone!

I am glad we could make his day more magical! ;) pixiedust: Did you remember to change his age in your siggy?

WHAT!!!!!! You can't just leave us hanging like this! :scared1: :scared1: Did you and Rae ride or not? :confused3 You know we are hooked and will come back. Way to keep your TR interesting Amy! :thumbsup2

Glad that GM is doing fine! She is such a trooper!

Thanks for updating on GM condition now.

I am so glad nothing was broken and she didn't have a blood clot. That would have been scary:goodvibes

I can't wait to see if Rae rides TOT or not.

DS first roller coaster was Goofy Barnstormer and we had to ride it 3 times in a row:rotfl2:

We are going in December and I thnink he is tall enough for big thunder mountain.

I hope I have a thrill rider/coaster junkie on my hands......:cool1:

Thanks for updating us on GM's condition. Glad to hear that it was not broken and that she did not have a blood clot.

Yeah GM is ok. So glad to hear that.

Glad grammy is okay. After the year our family has had, I get a little on edge when a family member is hurt or sick...I know you understand...

So now back to the TOT story.......popcorn::

Loving your report, coming out of lurking. Your children are so cute, they sure are troopers. It is not easy traveling with young children and grandparents on the same trip. You seem to take things in stride.

Just wanted to congratulate you on your great rate for CBR, you will love the resort. So nice to be on an adult trip with such a pretty resort. It is very spread out, but manageable. We especially like to stay in Jamaica or Aruba. Then you get to walk over the bridge to get to main pool, food area and shops.

Can't wait for the next post................:yay:

Hmm...don't know if this will be a double post or not but I wrote that I'm glad to hear the wonderful news about GM :goodvibes

I also said I'm waiting to hear about ToT popcorn::

HI everyone!:goodvibes I will comment back to everyone later-I am about to leave for work.Sorry no update last night. We took the kids to the fair and I had a migraine when I got home.:headache: I will continue the TOT story tonight....

Have a great day!:grouphug:

I am so glad to hear that GM's ankle wasn't broken. I was a little worried.
I am glad Peyton enjoyed the B-Day wishes.

I can't wait to hear if you rode TOT or not. My oldest DD rode it for her first time when she was 4. But that was because she wasn't tall enough. My kids are short like me.

MGM
At 8:00am I woke the kids gently by throwing their bags of clothes at them.:goodvibes
Way to go Mom! :rotfl2:

By 8:15 we were all ready to go and munching on poptarts, cereal bars or fruit.
See above comment... :rotfl:

I knock on GM and GP's room and am surprised to see GM walking around.:yay: Her ankle looks horrible and I can tell its hurting but she insists on walking. All day.:guilty: No Drs for her today!:woohoo:
:thumbsup2

We had decided that I would go get FPs for RnRC while the rest went to Star Tours.Rae wanted to go with me so we walked toward that area together having one of those "moments".Those of you with multiple kids probably understand. The "moments" are when you get to spend time with one child and get to really talk.We were talking about what she would see that day, etc.
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Those times are special for both the parent and child. I wish I could have more of those times ...

She suddenly stopped.And pointed.
"What's that ,mama?"
"Whats what ,Rae?"
"The big building."
"Oh ,that's Tower of Terror."
"Why are the people screaming?"
"Because some are scared and some are having fun and like to scream."
"I'm not scared."
"I'm sure you aren't.Lets go get our FPs."
"I want to ride TOT.Now.Please, Mama!"
:scared1:
Disney2007318.jpg

What should I do? Should I lie and say she's not tall enough?Should I let my three year old ride TOT?
Wussie ... you need to take her on it and I'm hoping you did ....

I am glad we could make his day more magical! ;) Did you remember to change his age in your siggy?

We were really glad it wasn't broken too.GM doesn't heal well and it took twice the normal time for her to heal from her injuries the first time.Rae loves Barnstormer!:thumbsup2 I am sure he will love BTMR too.Out of four of my kids only one is timid about rides.:thumbsup2

Thanks for updating us on GM's condition. Glad to hear that it was not broken and that she did not have a blood clot.

Did she like it at four?I am short too but three of my kids are tall ,it worked out great this time with Rachel 40 inches for this trip.:thumbsup2 BTW,Rebekah is almost three inches taller than Peyton. She calls him her little big brother. He just loves that.:rotfl2:

:goodvibes Glad GM is okay!

Wussie ... you need to take her on it and I'm hoping you did ....

I am a wussie...I terrified Bekah and Peyton on that ride...did I really want to take that chance with her....:confused3

Hi Mousescrapper! Thanks for the hug!

Wonderful, that she is better and no real damage was done from the trip, guess it was a good thing she kept on walking huh?

BTW those "moments", I so understand. Thursdays are the only day DD #2 doesn't have a morning commitment (ie school or Wed. morning Bible club) so I try to do something special with her each week, today bought those pre-made chocolate chip cookies and we made those together...I feel like a real domestic goddess today even making beef-stew in the crock pot so DH has a real dinner tonight as we pass each other on these nights with him going to school and us getting in late after DS's OT therapy :hippie: sorry for the tangent.

Hoping you updated as I was scrolling through to the end, so what did you and Rae do???? Hoping can get DD #1 on it with me next year, so I don't have to go it alone agian. Not that I mind, but it's fun with a pal :)

Till next time,

me:mickeyjum

OH PS thanks for thinking of my DS last week....he's been having a rough last couple...

O.K., just found you and am getting caught up. Hey, TOT with a 3 year old, sounds familiar, we did it and she's already asking to ride it again this next year, she loved it, can't wait to see what you decided. Loving this TR and all the pics, great job, glad you did this! Can't wait for more.
Lesley
