I can't even call it a trip report! We just didn't take enough pics this time. But I have a few to share.

We arrived at the Fort late Saturday evening, July 24th. My Mom flew in separately and had already checked into our cabin, which was in a nice location at the back of the 2100 loop.

For my first pics, I would like to take time to answer a question that came up a few weeks ago on this board. How thick are the curtains in the cabins? The answer - thick.

IMG_1093.jpg

Thick and hungry enough to devour small children. Leaving behind only their toes.

IMG_1100.jpg

Another question I've seen asked - is there a Pack N Play in the cabin? Yes, and it's the safest place to store your children.

IMG_1115.jpg

When they smile sweetly, you can let them out.

IMG_1121.jpg

My kids love the cabins. I think the bunk beds are the biggest hit. This was the first time they fought over who got the top bunk. They had to take turns.

IMG_1106.jpg

I love the little nightlights they have over the bunkbeds. "Wilderness theming," Disney style.

IMG_1222.jpg

Another favorite at the cabin is the kid sized table.

IMG_0978.jpg

The couch is small, but nothing stops my husband from napping. Nothing.

IMG_0977.jpg

We got a late start our first morning. Our kids usually get up early enough for rope drop. But I was happy they slept in a little bit. We went to the MK our first day, Sunday the 25th. Here I am with my Mom and two of the kids on the Magic Carpets. One of our favorite rides.

IMG_0937.jpg

It was crowded and very very hot, but we had a great time. We did several rides and saw a few favorite characters, and had lunch at the Harbor House. Then we came back to the cabin for a swim, a rest, and a Giddy Up and Go dinner, before going back to see the Electrical Parade. My husband took some great pics of the parade, so I'll post a few of those next.

You have great pics.! Wonderful memories too I bet!!!!!! We enjoyed our stay in the cabins too! Lots of room for sure! Your kids are cute!!!!! Glad you enjoyed your trip!:)

:rotfl:

Cute kiddos! Short or not, I like every chance to see people having fun at the Fort and WDW. :thumbsup2

Wait - are you calling my kids short?! :rotfl: (They are, btw. There's no height in the family at all, we have to make up for it with attitude.)

We are hooked on the cabins and the fort! Thanks!

Great pics! Thanks for sharing.

Adorable! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see more!

Great pics!!!!

You're welcome and thanks. I'm sorry the pics are so huge. I haven't used photobucket enough to figure out the best way to resize them all.

We spent most of my childhood in Jacksonville, FL, so we were frequent visitors to the World when I was a kid. And this is the parade that I remember. I was so excited to see it again.
I loved it. I actually started crying that first night, sitting in Frontierland eating a half melted Dole Whip, watching the silly spinning turtles come down the street. I felt like I was 8 again. My kids loved it too. We went to see it twice more on the trip.

We bought a new camera for this trip, and my husband luckily figured out how to take night shots. I think they look cool.

Dancing fairies and Tinkerbell leading the way.

My son is crazy about trains, and went NUTS when this came around the corner.

I'll bet you don't see a Hookah smoking caterpillar in any parade designed in this decade...

IMG_1012.jpg

The silly spinning snail

IMG_1013.jpg

This mouse in her lighted dress came up to my kids and bonked them on the head with her nose. They laughed about it all week.

IMG_1018.jpg

Not a clear shot, but the classic Cinderella's carriage was my favorite when I was kid.

IMG_1021.jpg

This is a large float, which had Prince Charming, the Glass Slipper, and the 2 stepsisters chasing him around. And a large group of dancing courtiers following.

IMG_1025.jpg

Now for the Peter Pan floats!

IMG_1028.jpg

Hook and Pan had a pretty good sword fight routine.

IMG_1030.jpg

There were also large floats for Pinocchio and Pete's Dragon. I love it that the old school stories are represented again. And at the end, something else you probably wouldn't see in most parades put together this decade -

IMG_1042.jpg

If I hadn't been crying before, that definitely would have done it.

Our kids were pretty cooked after the parade. It was a long day. We decided to skip the fireworks since we had plenty of other days to watch them. But we were lucky and had a great boat driver (skipper?). He took it slllloooowww and we were treated to a great fireworks cruise on our way back to the Fort.

I like this one - the hearts!

IMG_1060.jpg

The fireworks were great! I don't know if I like them more than Wishes, but Disney puts on a spectacular show either way.

Great pics and such a happy looking family! The parade pics were really great. Glad to hear that I am not the only one who can be brought to tears at Disney (by something other than the prices!:lmao:). Those are the first pics of the "honoring America" float I have seen..very touching!:wizard:

Regarding the Pack N Play, was it in nice, clean condition? We brought our own on the last trip, but for our trips in October and December, it would be nice to be able to leave it home and use the Disney one. We're bringing MIL again in October and could use the extra cargo room.

Btw, your kids are adorable!

Yes, it was clean. I'm not *super* anal about these things, because my baby is 2.5 and I'm not as worried about every big of dust. But I would definitely say it was very clean.
The first time we stayed in the cabins, our PnP would not sit properly on it's 4 feet. We called and they delivered another one in about 5 minutes. They also delivered sheets for it when we couldn't find any on our second trip.
We did bring our own pnp sheet this trip, simply because we were arriving so late and didn't want to mess with calling mousekeeping to get one. So I would suggest you use the Disney PnP and BYO sheet.

Are the pack n plays in all the cabins or did you have to request it?

They are in all the cabins, up in the tiny hall closet. We always set it up half stuck into the bedroom closet nook. As I suggested to the other poster, you might want to bring your own sheet for it.

Thank you! The America float wasn't one that I remember from my childhood, but it was cool. And I just cannot believe those ladies do "Rockette" style kicks all the way along the parade route in that heat. I don't know how they do that.

That is a priceless picture. Thanks for sharing.

Great job!

Thank you. I like that one a lot. The little monkeys.

The next 2 days of our trip went like this -

Get up whenever we felt like getting up.
Go to Epcot. Ride some rides, see some sights.
Drink a margarita.
Nap and then swim in Fort Pool.
Back to Epcot.
Go to pub in England, get Guiness.
Play Kim Possible missions.
Watch Illuminations.

Those were good days. We weren't in a picture mood, but I have a few to share. We found this troublemaker at lunch in Norway.

IMG_1076.jpg

And in case anyone is looking for a cheap meal in the World Showcase, just follow this squirrel's example and take anything that looks good out of a passing stroller.

IMG_1137.jpg

The World Showcase is so pretty. I could spend weeks there just strolling around.

A precious treasure my 4 yo found as we were leaving. She brought these home with her in a ziploc, and still has them.

IMG_1499.jpg

At Disney, even the buses are magic. (You'll notice they are practicing their monkey trio routine - see no evil...)

indimom3- You are doing a great job with this TR. I agree with the others who have already stated that your children are adorable, and it looks like you guys are having an absolute blast in every photo.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm sold! Mine is 13 months and has the dogs' tongues in his mouth throughout the day, so I figure it can't be worse than an animal that licks his own junk. Nice convenience for guests with babies for sure. One more thing to love about Disney and I have more room for Halloween decorations!

I'm totally bummed - I just found this and can't see any of the pictures! :guilty: There is a box where the picture would be saying that the image has been moved or deleted. Can everyone else still see them? I feel so left out!

I can't see them either!! To the original poster, you can't move the pictures off of photobucket once you link them here!!!!!
