Just finishing up our two week spring trip. Southern cruise out of SJU on RCCL was relaxing and the ports were amazing. Our large suite @ PBH (thank you to loews youfirst program for the upgrade:)) was appreciated after our 'togetherness' in cruise cabin. The U parks were crowded there last weekend. We took it slow & easy this week in Disney due to the heat, still had a wonderful trip! Nice to switch things up now & again when @ Disney to keep things fresh imo.

Thrilled to be upgraded from a value studio @ AKV to pool view upon checking in on Monday. I didn't tempt the fates to ask any questions other than: is it complimentary? lol Our 2nd upgrade as members, both times a total surprise and most appreciated.

Checking the member website yesterday, discovered for 2nd week of our October trip (wherein all I could find after 11 month window was SSR) that a AKV standard studio come thru on a waitlist - woo-hoo.

Sorta makes the price increase for water/soda/snacks a bit more palatable. however charging approx $5 for a rice krispie treat and $8 for bag of chip & dale pretzels still has me shaking my head. Once again, ate the majority of our meals offsite this trip, which we're prone to do when no kiddies along.

Only negative of trip was SWA destroying a new Delsey large suitcase on the SJU/MCO route. Telescoping handle, bumpers and a wheel were missing as well as large gouges all over the hard side bag. Nothing harmed inside at least. Took a bit of stating my case that the bag they offered wasn't comparable, but did receive a full refund of the bag via a check along with a duffle bag to hold our gear until I can replace the luggage.

Heading out tomorrow to what i'm told will be snow in Pittsburgh overnight on Saturday:rolleyes1.

Wow! Glad you enjoyed many things. Sorry about your bag, and the forecast!

I've been away for nearly 2 weeks, and my neighbors tell me there's a freeze warning for my area on Saturday night. Must be the same system!

The view has nothing to do with your room bring a value. There are actually value rooms that have a savanah view. It is the size of the room. Love the value rooms.

Lol yes value studios are usually what we book too. Before this trip have been lucky enough to request and receive the sav view
The CM said our room was parking lot view, then said wait. Made a phone call and said they had pool view (standard) We had this view a few times and enjoy it
