WE'RE GOING ON THE DREAM IN FEBRUARY 2011!!!

It's a girl's only trip;

We are SO EXCITED! We're not sure of the exact dates; I originally wanted to go on the 3-day cruise on February 10th because that is my birthday, but we decided on the 4 day instead! We're doing a February date, just not 100% sure of the dates yet.

I can't wait to go on the Dream!!!

Thanks, everyone! It's very exciting; a year seems so far away, but hopefully I will be able to do a quick long-weekend trip to WDW this summer or fall and get my "fix" before February 2011!

Thanks for being so patient, everyone! I am getting into my less-busy time at work (for the next few months, really) so I have more time to tell you about my trip!

Part 2 of the AK day, here we come.....


After the kids were done at the dig site area, we pow-wowed and asked each person what they wanted to do with the rest of their day. The two older boys said they would like to go back to the hotel; my aunt, sister and I thought it might be cool to go to Epcot, we we all went our separate ways. My uncle and the 2 oldest boys went back to AKL, and the rest of us headed to Epcot!

On our way out of AKL, these were the crowds we saw....

Bye bye, Animal Kingdom!

We then boarded the bus for Epcot and were on our way!

We soon saw these lovely sites.....so great, I wish I was there now!!

When we arrived, most of the rides were already at a 120-240 minute wait and there were no fastpasses left for Soarin or Test Track. But no worries, we decided to make a jaunt around the World Showcase!

After making one lap around the World Showcase, we decided to head back to grab some lunch. We got in line at the counter service at Mexico (I can't recall the name) and were in line for 45 MINUTES!! For the most part, people were being nice and patient; we did witness some near meltdowns and confrontations from people. Now I might not have people agree with me here, but if you are going to be in a line for food for over 1/2 hour, why would you send your children to save a table for you for all that time?! We witnessed two couples getting into it, as children from the one family were saving seats, and when the kids got up to go to their parents the other couple thought the seats were free...and then you can imagine what ensued. But for the most part, everyone was patient and kind.

We then sat down to eat our lunch. Justin enjoyed his nachos a bit too much....

After our meal, we finished another loop around the World Showcase and then headed back to AKL. We spent the rest of the night lounging around, watching movies and playing games. It was a nice end to a busy, busy day!!

Coming up next - Epcot again and lunch at Le Cellier!!

What crazy crowds!!! Between the wait times for the rides, the absence of FastPasses, and the long wait for lunch, I would have hightailed it right back to the hotel.

I'm glad we avoided AK on our NYE trip. It always seems more crowded to me, too.

We got in line at the counter service at Mexico (I can't recall the name) and were in line for 45 MINUTES!!

It's a girl's only trip; so far, it's my aunt Wendy (who I went with on this past trip), my mom, Wendy's step-mom Dee, and my aunt Sheila. We've also asked a few other aunts and my girl cousins so we might have 10-12 people on this cruise!!!

Thanks! Yes, we just love getting to see her. They are only about 4 1/2 hours away and although that means we can't see her as often as we'd like, it's not a bad weekend trip distance.

Yeah, we are super pumped!! I talked to my mom last night, and she said my aunt Sheila (who is just getting off the Wonder today from a 4-day cruise) booked our Feb 2011 cruise while she was still on board, so we got a 10% discount! Score!!

Our trip was Dec 26 - Jan 4; if I remember correctly, I think that AK / Epcot day was the 28th.

I'm glad it is not too unreasonable of a distance for you to be able to see her some.

I am only two hours from Jill, and even though that is not bad at all, it is further than I'd like it to be. When the girls are doing school and sports activities in the future, I am going to be spending some big time money on gas going back and forth.

The crowd going in is usually what we see, too. There will be a hundred going in for every one going out.

You know, someone else told me she resembles me....poor kid!

Yes, be prepared for all of the soccer games / band recitals / chorus concerts, etc. I am the oldest of 6 and so I went to plenty of those (and am still going!!) But it's fun to see them participate in those activities and have a good time.
