Me and my future bride. Both 25 yrs. Mods, if you need me to take any pictures out due to space constraints, just let me know!

We had 1 day on our PHP left, so we needed to get a one day ticket for the MK. We didn’t make it to AK, but here’s what we found in the other parks.
Overall, the crowds were not there. Our longest wait was about 20 minutes for the Jungle Cruise. There were characters everywhere!!! In MGM they had characters together but Sorcery Mickey’s hat. Mickey and Pluto were together, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen. It was quite fun to see how two characters interacted with each other. When I saw Pluto again over in Toontown, he saw my Pluto pin circa 1983, and absolutely loved it. He asked my fiancé if she loved me, and when she said yes, and that we were getting married in WDW in Sept, he grabbed our hands and “told” almost everyone in line. He even placed my whole head and “licked” me goodbye.
Also, I was talking to King Louie on the Adventureland he pointed to my DISBoards pin and pointed back to himself and shook his head. So I guess he has internet access in the jungle. That was pretty cool!!!

But by far the coolest character moment was in Epcot when Princess Aurora spent about 5 minutes with this cute little boy named Kyle. First he wouldn’t go near her, but then you couldn’t drag him away. You can tell that she was having a ball talking to him. Imagine our surprise when we went to meet Alice in Fantasyland the next day. It turn out that Alice and Aurora must be related because they looked an awful lot alike. ;) Aurora must have shown pics of us to Alice because you can tell that Alice had seen us before, and asked us what our favorite part of our trip had been so far. When I told her that meeting her and Aurora was the most memorable she smiled and said that “Oh my, that Aurora is such a great princess.” We talked for a bit more about how Alice should be a princess too, and she said “Well someday I just might be.”
However some castmembers forgot about the “good show” part of WDW. There were two castmembers from the Canadian Pavilion out by the Odyssey with their lunch bags trading pins with guests (one was even holding a cell phone!).

Then as we were leaving the MK, there was another castmember walking around with his bag. I don’t know why this bothered me as much as it did

We got to ride Stitch, and although its probably better for kids than Alien Encounter, I think they could have done a lot more with his “Escape”. I won’t go into details for those that want to be surprised.
And when we were walking down Main St to eat at the Crystal Palace before the park opened, Pluto was shooting an add campaign with some of his friends. We though this was just hilarious.

We were waiting around for the Kiss Goodnight Friday, and it never happened. When I asked a CM, she thought I was actually asking her to kiss me. When I explained to her what it was, she said “we’ve never had anything like that here in my 15 years working.” I don’t know why I switched from my nice vacation self, but I responded with “well its pretty sad that you don’t know about one of the nicest things about where you work.” How can people that work nights at the MK not know about the Kiss Goodnight? AArrgghh.
I also find it amazing how much you actually walk while in WDW. The first date we logged 7 just walking around the resorts, 15.7 in MGM and Epcot, and another almost 8 in the MK. Even on our last day where we only went to DTD and the Poly we walked over two. Now there’s no way that I would go out and walk 15 miles tomorrow here at home. So am I allowed to claim my trip to WDW on my taxes as preventative medicine. After all, that’s a lot of cardio.
If you have any questions, just let me know!

Thanks for your review. The character interaction was one of our favorite parts of our recent trip---thanks for bringing back some memories!

Thanks for posting that. It was fun reading. :)

What is "Kiss Goodnight"? I've never heard of that before.

Mary,
After the fireworks (anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes after, the time varies) Mickey waves goodbye to everyone from the train station. Also, the castle changes colors and a narration comes on that thanks everyone for coming. its one of those little disney things that makes you glad that you've spent hundreds or thousands of dollars to be with mickey.
