Our Split Stay September Shenanigans!-Updated 9/9!!

Hi there! For some reason I didn't have your PTR in my subscription folder, but I just got caught up on all your plans! First of all, they sound awesome & you're so sweet for taking your mom! I am taking my sister this time around, maybe one day mom will get a free trip too ;)

I read through everything and had so many comments I had to make a list! :rotfl2: First of all, we are doing an Art of Animation/AK Lodge split stay as well!! We are in AoA from the 15th until the 21st and then the 21st and 22nd we are staying in a Savannah view room at Ak Lodge - are you staying in Kidani or Jambo house??

We are also eating at Le Cellier on our first night - yum, can't wait to try that filet! Also, we had dinner at 50's Prime Time last time and it was great - but the s'mores were a big dissapointment!! It is a big graham cracker with a bunch of warm marshmallows and just a chocolate drizzle. I don't know about you, but my favorite part of the s'more is the CHOCOLATE! It would have been much better with a Hershey's bar, IMO!

I also hate Dinosaur :rotfl: I love thrill rides but that ride scares the crap out of me...I hate when stuff jumps out at me! My ride pictures are equally as hilarious as yours...usually I'm cowering in someone's arm.

Also, we will be at MK on the 16th for EMH and DHS on the 17th for EMH - maybe I will bump into you!

Can't wait to read the rest of your plans!

YAY! Great minds think alike! Haha, I *think* I commented on your PTR? Or at least read through it a couple of days ago? I could be wrong haha. I'm excited to go with my mom, and I know she's getting excited, I just really like going with people who are experiencing it for the first time, get to see their reactions, it's awesome!

Haha! Oh that's awesome!! I have no clue where we're staying at AKL aside from savannah view haha. This trip holds 2 new resorts for me, and I'm so pumped! AKL has been like a dream resort for me forever, and when I decided to take my mom I knew we had to stay there. Now with AoA opening, and having a combination of some of my all time favorite movies, I knew it had to be that one instead of an All Star!

I'm so excited for the dining on this trip! I usually try to stay away from table service resturants, I found at first it just took too much time away from touring the parks. But now that I can find my way around them like the back of my hand, and know where to go to avoid the crowds, I'm much more laid back! Haha, that, and with the deluxe free dining, it's FREE. UGH. SO MUCH FOOD. SO MUCH EXCITEMENT. I'm also interested to see how well Canada is represented in Le Cellier, lawl. I wonder if they use Alberta beef? :lmao: (but seriously...it is the best!)

I'll keep that in mind about the Smore's! I have been on a huge health kick recently and have lost most of my sweet tooth, so I may end up for-going most desserts, or just asking for like, grapes haha!

Yay!! If you see us, be sure to say hello!! I will most likely also have a lime green mickey head on my bag! (I managed to snag a BUNCH from home depot before they discontinued it, and I've got one left! Haha!)

Hey friends! So as we grow closer & closer to the trip, I really have been doing a lot of Disney related things at home, and just getting ready and trying to calm down how excited I am haha!

This includes browsing through tumblr for random pictures and here's some stuff I came across!

pwf102312LARGE.jpg

Tinkerbell & Periwinkle!! The new Frost fairy from the winter woods who is born from the same laugh as Tink, and thus, her sister! I'm super freaking excited for her to be out & about in the parks, and word has it that she WILL indeed be out by the time Paige joins our trip, and that pixie hollow will be "re-themed" more wintery to keep her feeling "at home". I'm PRAYING that it will be the two of them out for MNSSHP on the 18th, as Paige & I are going as the two of them and it would just be amazing to have the 4 of us all together.

Here's one of the first articles released about them: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...s-will-soon-join-tinker-bell-at-disney-parks/

Also throughout my tumblr browsing I just came across this pic of Rapunzel & Flynn, and honestly thought to myself "they. are. perfect."

tumblr_m7levbpLkA1qdn1gmo9_500.jpg

Seriously! Look at them! I just find that they are the best ones I've seen, she's got that slight "hesitant" look in her eyes, like, you know, she's experiencing the world for the first time. I dunno, maybe it's just me!

I know a lot of people put some real life updates into their TR's and PTRs, so I figured I'd jump aboard that (and just give this a few more posts lol) The summer's been a bit crazy for me, as I'm trying to save both for Disney (aka pay off the trips) and save for my big dance competition in Oct, while still trying to pay the bills haha! Work is a lot slower for us in the summer, but the upside of that is it does give us some time to play!!

We've spent quite a few days just hanging out by the river, swimming, hiking, cooking over fires, you know, the usual!

IMG_1661.jpg

IMG_1663.jpg

IMG_1662.jpg

It also helps to get that nice little layer of color on before heading down to Florida! Haha. We also have been celebrating one of my very good friends (who if you followed my past TR's, this is the girl that the "Brandi pose" originates from) graduating from her college program!

IMG_1705.jpg

IMG_1704.jpg

And when some old friends came back into town, we took the time out of an afternoon before work to head back to the zoo with them! And luckily this time, we totally saw more animals! (It was also a time for Paige & I to hang out and talk Disney, and how we're going to want to steal all the adorable kids! haha)

IMG_1715.jpg

It's been a pretty sweet summer And now that summer is coming to a close, everyone's headed back to school, off to other cities to start their run of the dinner theater shows.

Our household is going to be shambled around a lot over the next few weeks. One of my roomates is off at Burningman right now, and gets back Sept 6th. Then I leave for Disney Sept 10th. My other roomate moves out to head back to Winnipeg to start another dinner theatre show on the 20th. I come back on the 21st, and a new roomate moves in sometime between then and Oct 1st. It sure will prove to be interesting!!

In the upcoming days to the trip (11 LEEEEFFFTT) I've been preparing in other ways than just packing and updating the PTR (which, let's be serious, I haven't been great at until today haha!) I have been re-watching Disney movies to refresh my memories and get excited (as if I needed help!) in the past few days I've watched:

-Tangled
-The Little Mermaid
-Lion King
-Lion King 2: Simba's Pride
-Winnie the Pooh
-The Emperor's New Groove

And I've been coloring!

IMG_1739.jpg

IMG_1740.jpg

Yup...I may or may not be a 6 year old inside! Ha! Disney's also been popping up in every day life, such as, my room mate does those "Princess Parties" and after she was getting ready one day, she had some extra time to finish cleaning, and I just found this hilarious:

IMG_1719.jpg

Lol, even as a Princess, Cinderella has to do the dishes! And later, we found a cake of her at Safeway!

IMG_1720.jpg

I've also been spending a lot of time on youtube watching some vacation videos and such, so I'll share my favorites with you!

The Commericals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_QA0uC2U0Y&noredirect=1

Quite possibly my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQHfvKIqr1s

And Video 2 of theirs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpiQ-D_kaxY&feature=relmfu

And some more:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2bKZtOOx78&feature=youtu.be

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJE7bvfVBg8

And that's all for now!

If you think 11 days out is too early to start packing, you are truly crazy!! Truthfully, I have packed super in advance before, and then been all "oh, I totally packed that earlier" and then gotten to my destination, and realized I didn't have it....:faint: Which is why this time I have this:

IMG_1758.jpg

My handy dandy packing list! Yay. It has everything I should need on it, and everything that I've already packed, gets crossed off, so I know if it's in there or not. I also starred everything that's going in my carry on bag!

IMG_1749.jpg

See? All nice and packed!! In there we've got some of the following:

IMG_1759.jpg

Older, half full autograph book, for those moments we run into characters we've seen before, as I've got a new one that has the space for pictures as well, and I don't want repeats!

IMG_1753.jpg

I've also got my sparkly Minnie ears in there! I have a pair of plain black ones with the bow as well (which I bought my Mom matching ones too) but I like the silver ones way better! Haha! I also bought my mom the Princess autograph book with photo sleeves (however, I made the mistake of buying them on my DLR trip to California, and only a few weeks ago realized they say DISNEYLAND on the binding...ooops...) I also bought her a pin trading starter kit that trip, and ordered my own pins off eBay to trade!

IMG_1754.jpg

Yay! Here's a pic of the Alice costume (minus the pinafore!) and the headband I got to go with it. It's seriously amazing, fits like a glove, and when you spin, oh my goodness it's awesome!

IMG_1752.jpg

The other day I also went through and made little, "calender" like things to put up in the hotel, so that the people I'm with know what the day holds, and this way, I won't forget about anything (I also put all the dining into my phone!)

IMG_1756.jpg

And of course, I've been doing some shopping/crafting for the upcoming trip too!

Sunscreen & sparkle hairspray (for Periwinkle & Tink)

IMG_1755.jpg

IMG_1748.jpg

Wings for MNSSHP! They were $5.00...Walmart..I tell ya! And of course, the leggings to go with the Peri costume, bought them white, and bought blue sparkly paint to paint them with, Winning!

IMG_1750.jpg

Next up: (let's hope my camera luck is better this time around!) my new Canon SX-260 along with the new case!

IMG_1751.jpg

Lastly, I got Mickey Mail sometime last week!

IMG_1760.jpg

IMG_1761.jpg

Aren't the new tags so cute?! I love 'em! Problem: they have my old address under the reservation for AKL (despite the NUMEROUS times I've changed it) so they sent that Mickey Mail to my old house. Good thing: Tyler lives there, thought it was junk mail, opened it, and then freaked out because he'd opened my mail. HA!

However, the Magical Express took some hassle, and is FINALLY booked properly, and I had them change the address so that everything will come to my house! Yay! It should be here soon!!

Well, we've reached out last full day in Disney, and our last day in the parks! I usually spend this day park hopping all over the place, and we have a wide variety of ways to spend this day:

Option #1:
-Wake up super early, be down to the bus stop by 7:30, and hit up Magic Kingdom right at 8:00am for some AM Extra Magic Hours!

4-1.jpg

And spend the extra hour in Fantasyland/Tomorrowland re-riding everything we loved!

32-1.jpg

169.jpg

And then head out of the park and over to Animal Kingdom for say, 9:30ish!

7-1.jpg

Ride Everest a couple of times;

50-1.jpg

And then hit up the 10:30 FOTLK (especially considering this could be the last time I ever see it!)

80-1.jpg

If Paige wants to hit the safari too, we'll do that, and then head on over to Hollywood Studios, and re-do our favorites & anything we missed on the first try!

31-1.jpg

4-1.jpg

Then we can head back to Magic Kingdom, and spend the rest of the evening there, until it closes at 9, and just soak it all in.

Option #2: Stick to this plan, but end our trip at Epcot because we missed Illuminations the first night

Option #3: Stick to that plan, but take out the EMH morning, just end the day at MK.

Option #3: Take out the EMH, and do MK 3rd, then Epcot for a late dinner & Illuminations.

My guess on what we'll do:

Option #2. So that is:
-AM EMH at Magic Kingdom
-Hop to AK for 9:30
-Hop to DHS for a couple of rides
-Back to MK for the afternoon, go say good bye to our favorite characters
-Hop to Epcot for 8:00pm for a late dinner and Illuminations.

Does that look too crazy? Of course, it all depends on how we feel at the end of the week, we might just spend all day at MK, we'll see! Hahah!!

Your last day plans look a little crazy but good :cool1: We are hopping alot too, even though it sucks up a lot of time. I like to spread out the fun over the whole week :thumbsup2

Baha! Yeah, it'll be intense, I think we'll do the MK emh, end with Epcot haha, crazy, but it'll be worth it!

Hopping does suck up time, but as long as you know how to do it, and where to go when, it works out

So cute! I'm never big on taking video but I got an HD Flipcam from my MIL at my bridal shower last year so I'm bringing it this time. Definitely want to try to film some stuff!

Thanks! I hope that everything turns out, I had originally just showed my mom the videos by disneyjen on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2bKZtOOx78&feature=youtu.be
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V12zl-Bk6Yc&list=UUMLrLZOhHtE2CaFkZZmqLcA&index=7&feature=plcp

And she wanted to do a dancing video like that, but to a Disney song, so I figure I'll include that, but make a longer video too!! I'm super excited! I've always wanted to do one, but it just takes so much effort haha!!

That's awesome, I hope you get some great shots!

Well, it has come down to that final day of our trip *super sad face* the most heartbreaking day of all, the day we have to check out :( Paige and I will probably arrange for a late check out from Art of Animation, as we’ve got a special breakfast to get to on our last day!!

Heading down to the bus for, let’s say, 8:20ish, and we’ll be taking the bus over to Magic Kingdom that morning, and then hopping on my most beloved mode of transportation, the MONORAIL!!! Any guesses on where our breakfast is? Lol, there are a LOT of choices, but we’ll be headed to what I think is the most gorgeous resort of all, the Grand Floridian!

cd5f012c59debdb5c64905ec012543b3.jpg

YAY! Obviously, we’re heading in to 1900 Park Faire that morning!

1900-park-faire.jpg

I’ve had breakfast here before, and absolutely loved it, yeah, it took a little bit of time to get checked in and get into the restaurant, but it was still awesome! They’ve got amazing food!

IMG_1923-1.jpg

And some AWESOME characters!!

IMG_1931-1.jpg

IMG_1929-1.jpg

IMG_1941-1.jpg

Once we’re done with breakfast, it will probably be time to head straight back to Art of Animation to check out! The Magical Express will be there right around noon to pick us up from the resort to take us to the airport, and we’ll definitely be super sad about that!

IMG_1945-1.jpg

Now, do you guys think that I’ve budgeted my time well on that last morning? If we leave AoA by 8, we have more than enough time to get toe the GF to check in (I’d rather be there early with the hassle it was last time). Then I give us an hour and a half to eat, taking us to 11:00am, then we have an hour to get back to the resort. Hmm…looking at that I’m thinking we maybe should check out when we get up in the morning, that might be easier! I’ll figure it out haha!

Well, that’s it for the PTR! We have one more sleep until we’ll be IN DISNEY, yesterday at work was the last day I saw Paige, next time I’ll see her is in the Art of Animation! Words cannot describe how excited everyone is, Paige and I are pretty sure we’re going to cry many a times during the trip, and it’s going to be quite the adventure.

Last night I got some lime green poster board from Wal Mart to make Lime Green Mickey Heads to put on my bag, and on for my Mom, I’ll also have a board up on the hotel room doors with space to leave a message, so if you see it, be sure to leave a little note for us!

As soon as I start it, I’ll post a link to the Trip Report on here, and also over in my April Trip Report (see signature) thanks for reading along and I hope I’ll see ya around!

Ahh you're in Disney - hope your flight went well and Boma was delicious!! Have so much fun, maybe I'll see you around somewhere - can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back!

Dear god our flights ended up a complete gong show, after being stuck on the tarmac in Calgary for 2 hours, we arrived at our connection late, missed the plane by 10 minutes, they booked my mom on the noon flight, but had me on standby, with the next flight leaving tomorrow, and connecting through Houston, Ugh. BUT I just barely made it onto the flight, and we're here all safe and sound and ready to go haha
