We were booked to fly Song from NY to MCO in Aug. and I periodically check our Song flight to see how full the plane is, etc. Well, I checked last night and our flight disappeared from the available flights. I called Delta and it seems that our flight was being cancelled and they hadn't gotten around to notifying us yet. They were not automaticallly rebooking us, we had to request another flight. The agent rebooked us on a Delta plane at slightly different times over the phone and all appears well (at no extra charge, of course).

So check, recheck, and check again if you are flying Song to Fla.

What flight were you on (time)...ours was supposed to be 10:45 and when I checked earlier today it was now 12:45. I called and changed it to the earlier flight 8:30 but now we need to leave the house at 6:00 am again. We were trying for a calmer, more relaxed start.

Our flight back has changed from a small 3 x 3 seat across plane to a 2 x 3 x 2 seat across plane.....much bigger!!

We are stuck in the back of both of these flights which I am not happy about but I guess I cant complain because at least all 6 of us are together.

I am not changing our dinner reservations though...I have a feeling that the earlier flight is still going to change - possibly to one of the really big airplanes also!!

Oh, well I expected some changes.............

We were originally on the 8:15 from LGA to MCO, now we are on a Delta at 7:30 am. Actually, I like to get there early and squeeze every vacation minute!

We flew home non-stop to SF on Song...they told us that Song was going to cease operations as of April 30th...maybe all of their flights will go to Delta then? :confused3

We really loved the Song plane--it was cool to have our own tv/movie screens on the seat backs in front of us--and the free satelite tv and music was cool too!

Always check, no matter what airline.... We flew over to Europe several years ago. We had a short commuter flight to catch the longer flight. Well, they changed the time of the later flight so that it left before the short flight got in and noone, not even the people checking us in at the first airport, said anything..... If they'd told us at the first airport, we could have avoided being stranded without a change of clothes in a strange city with no hotel reservation and a 6-month old with only enough diapers for the original travel time.......Major learning event. Alwaysalwaysalways re-confirm your flights. And put a clean pair of undies in your carry-on bag. :)

I was shifted to other Delta flights, (orig was on Song) even worse times than I originally booked. BUT when I looked at the site, much better times for us were available for $40 LESS than I paid. I called Delta, they switched us, but charged the $25 change fee against the $40 lower fare credit. We netted out only about $15 each future credit. But, I am happy, flight times are better, and I did not "pay" out of pocket. RT from JFK dropped from $215 (TOTAL with taxes) to $175 (Total with taxes) Aug 20-27

I booked at $215 only because it was a Sunday to Sunday trip and I was nervous, sometimes that Sunday return is high.

I asked them to waive the (fiarly reasonable) $25 change fee, because times changed 2 hours, but they said no. (Can't hurt to ask!)

Our original flight was 7:00am on Song out of JFK to MCO. We have been moved to 8:35am. I was not notified and I noticed my seats were no longer assigned and I was not able to do it myself. I called and they assigned them. Hopefully that is the end of the moves.
Similar changes occurred to the flight back.
I will really miss Song. Hope we're on one of those planes.

I just checked my flights from Boston to MCO and they too had been changed. My exDIL works for Delta and she told me they were changing the flights over to Delta flights. I guess I am lucky though, my flight down has changed to 7:25 am, originally 8:30 and the flight home stayed the same. I called to get seat assignments too and the rep was very nice and helpful.

Similar to my story. They changed my flight #'s and times for my Oct trip already (my fault for getting tix so early, but the price was right) I leave at 7:25 am now also, don't mind, it gets me to WDW even earlier! And my flight home stayed the same. I spoke to a nice woman also and I still have my seats. But I'm sure things will change around several times again.

My flights in May have three different changes....the final one is actually at a better time for me. The flight home is a better time also. My Oct flights have changed for the better also, but I'm sure they'll be changing many times before I actually get on the plane. My flight down was also changed to 7:25 am, rather than 8. Okay with me.

KerryCm, my flight is from Bos to Mco to and in September .It changed from
8am to 730 am also. The flight back has not changed to. When i called Delta
they said i still have the same seats but my screen stated no seat assingment.I guess if they said they are same then i am ok then.

Delta told me the same thing about all my flights..no seats were shown. I told the rep that I had had seats previously, but she said she saw no record of them!!! I told her what they had been and she gave me either the same seats or in one case, seats up in the front section. Now....I'm sure those seats will change before May 21 since they'll be adding that first class section soon and I don't think they are going to let us stay in first class for coach prices.

I called yesterday and our Song flights for Aug were changed to Delta. Seat assignments stayed the same. Times changed by 30mins or less.

Well thank goodness for these boards! i've just checked our schedule and we too have been rebooked (hopefully... will know when i can ring them tonight) with Delta! You'd think they would at least send you an e-mail to warn you - or am i asking too much!

thanks again for the nudge!

Last year we used AMEX Sky Miles for 2 free Song flights. Then Song pulled out of EWR (Newark) completely! We were SOOO disappointed as we love the Song planes. Problem was that there were no Delta FF seats left for our dates! To make a loooong story short, we finally used miles on a Continental flight with a very happy ending. Got First class seats on a nonstop flight and used 10,000 FF miles less that we used towards another trip! This year we booked with Continental first!

Our July Song flights from BDL to MCO were cancelled and moved to Delta. Less than a 30 min. change on either leg so no problem there. We booked 9 people on 3 different reservations and none of them had confirmed seats. I called Delta last night and got seats assigned for everyone and confirmations emailed to me.

New flights were about $50 cheaper, but Delta rep said that since I originally booked on Song and the new flight was Delta I wasn't eligible for a refund or voucher. I was informed that if I had booked directly with Delta they would be able to do something for me.
Sounds fishy to me, but what ya gonna do.

Now to sit and wait for the next change/cancellation. I'm sure it won't be long.....

ours changed also.
The same as yours MrsG. We were booked from lga at 8:15 now it is 7:30 in august .I called delta and our seats were reassigned to 3rd row. I thought of nice of them to put us in first class, my dh said don't bet on it!!
I asked the delta agent and he said that most likely this flight will be changed again. The flights change every 60 days.He said Delta should call me in June to confirm my august trip. Don't shoot the messenger, this is what I was told.
Make sure everyone checks their flights!

We are flying out of LGA to MCO in August and both of our Song flights have been changed to Delta, but the time difference is less than an hour in both cases and the flights are still nonstop. When I called, the agent said that they had put us in the same seats we had been in when booked on Song (and read the seat numbers out to me, so it seems true) but she said the seat assignments wouldn't show up online because they would still be re-confirming with me a few months before the flights.

I'm going to miss those TVs, and probably will use JetBlue from now on, but given the price I paid for these tickets and how similar the times are, I can't really complain.

We are going in early Sept (after Labor Day), and whenever I check the flights on Song's website, I automatically get redirected to Delta. I'm surprised they didn't do that for August as well. I have been checking prices since early this month, and haven't found anything less than 180 pp. I'm holding out for Jetblue, but have a feeling that the prices are going to be higher than Delta is now. It looks like a lot of Jetblue's flights are starting out over 100 each way now. I'd love to find a deal!
