Our September 2011 Pre-Trip Adventure!! (Update 09/29/2011 - Link to TR!)

Glad they offered to give you the transfers and now your flights are set :woohoo: Booking the airfare always makes the trip seem very real to me!

That's too bad about the job, but like you said, at least you got good feedback. Keeping my fingers crossed that you find one soon!

I am glad as well as do not have to stress about them anymore! :thumbsup2 The trip certainly seems real now - can finally start planning again!

I was happy with the feedback but at the time was like 'Your giving me all this positive feedback but no job!' :rotfl: Thank you - am hoping the waiting will mean that I am more likely to find a job in a really good school :)

Glad that everything has been settled with your flights! Sorry to hear you didn't get the job, but hopefully you will get the next one :goodvibes Have fun at Thriller! I'm sure it will be an amazing show! I wish it was in the US, as well. I would love to see it.

Hi everyone, hope your all having a good Friday and looking forward to the weekend! :yay:

Looks like we finally got some pixie dust (thanks for all your posts sending some our way) as flights are now sorted!! :woohoo: Can finally put the stress behind me! :)

We have decided to stick with the company we originally booked with in the end! After hassling them for a few days they have decided to give us free transfers from Sanford to Pop Century resort!! I went back to ask about the Virgin Airway flights we found but they have increased in price so it made sense to stick with our original booking, as it is a lot cheaper!

Also, I had an interview this week. I did not get the job but was told that I came close second - not good to hear but at least it's positive feedback. Hopefully, the next time I will be offered the job.

Finally, I was very pleased at what came through the post a couple of days ago!

Can't wait to go and see Thriller! I'll let you know what I think once I have seen it.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend :)

So glad the flights are sorted and that the TA made it up to you with transfers :goodvibes

Yay for Thriller tickets and it looks like you are going today, hope you have a lovely time. You must tell us all about it :)

Thank you - I am glad as well! :) I'm hoping the same thing :thumbsup2

Thriller was great!! I didn't realise it was not in the US - am sure it'll probably get shown there at some point as well. I'll do a quick review at the end of the post for you :)

I am glad as well - The TA came good in the end, she just needed some gentle pushing in the right direction

We had a great time - thanks!! The show was amazing! Am going to write a quick review at the end of this post :)

So, we went to see Thriller yesterday and it was amazing!! The cast were great, got the audience involved and performed the old classics as well as some not so common MJ songs :thumbsup2 You can't compare it to seeing MJ himself but if you are after an evening of fun and laughter, I would highly recommend it. We weren't allowed to take any pictures. I tried to sneak some in but they didn't work. I've got the one to share with you. If you have any other questions about the show let me know.

I know this PTR has been lacking Disney talk recently. It's Mother's day here in the UK today so am off to my mum's to cook her a nice dinner. Happy Mother's day to all the mums celebrating this special day today. I will update with our next itinerary plans either later today or tomorrow that will involve loads of Disney talk and pics! :thumbsup2

Wow, you've had some crazy planning to do! Glad that everything looks to be working out!

How sad is this... I never knew there was the caramel shop in the Germany Pavillion! THIS is why I'm looking forward to my September trip... no kids! :rotfl: They didn't want to go in and explore each country... I think the only Pavillions we visited were Mexico and Norway (because of their rides) and U.S. So getting a chance to take my time and visit each Pavillion will be heaven! :cloud9:

I'm glad you got the flights all worked out, I would have been stressing too!!!

Thanks! I'm so glad we managed to get things sorted in the end! :thumbsup2

It sure has been a crazy ride!! Am also glad :)

The caramel shop only opened Sept last year so don't feel too bad...as long as you experience it this time it'll be worth it!! Have heard that it is soo good - can't wait to try all the snacks popcorn:: Enjoy exploring each and every country without the kids :thumbsup2

Oh, good... I don't feel so bad, then! I am definitely putting this on my list of "things to do/places to see". Anything that has caramel in it, has my name on it, LOL! YUM!

Glad you enjoyed Thriller and hope your Mothers Day dinner went well :)

It is also at the top of our list!! Ha ha I've already mentioned to Zaheer that we may have to make many stops at the Caramel place...if only I could permanently reside there...:cloud9:

Glad you enjoyed Thriller and hope your Mothers Day dinner went well :)

Thanks - we had a great Mother's Day dinner!

Hope you and your mum had a great day :)

So, if you have managed to follow all the crazy changes that have been taking place recently then you will know that today is the day we visit Blizzard Beach!! :cool1:

We will need some substantial fuel in us to be able to climb all the stairs to the different attractions so before we head to BB we will be making a stop at DTD to eat some breakfast at WPE popcorn:: We will either be getting the breakfast pizza (if we can get it without the bacon - does anyone know if this can be requested?) or the Crispy Cornflake French Toast...sounds yummy! :cloud9:

We will then be making our way to Blizzard Beach. On arrival, we will try and get a spot near Meltaway Bay and then head to Cross Country Creek to get used to the water.

We are also looking forward to Teamboat Springs - I'm looking forward to seeing how this differs from Gang Plank Falls.

I may then brave Runoff Rapids and Tobaggan Racers, but then that's it! There is noo way I am attempting any of the thrill rides at this Water Park

If Zaheer decides he wants to go on Slush Gusher and Summit Plummit then he will be braving them alone! This is my idea of fun at this park:

However, I may get some funny looks for being in a children's play area so will probably have to make do in this area instead:

We may repeat some of our favourites before calling it a day. We will then head to Pop and get ready for our evening - we have two possible options. Option A is to head to Kona Cafe for our dinner.

We will then head to Poly beach to watch Hallowishes, which in my opinion is the perfect end to an evening :cloud9:

Or option B means we will have bought tickets for the party and be having a great time at MK, watching Hallowishes from a different view point!

Coming next: Our second day at AK - what will we be doing??

What a great day you have planned!

I have had the corn flake crusted french toast at WPE and it is soooooo yummy! I have to say thought, one piece filled me up...it's actually bagels covered in corn flakes, so it's quite dense, but oh so good!

Sounds like a fabulous day!

I'm sure you can order the breakfast pizza without bacon, but why would you want to - everything tastes better with bacon on it!

I have to second that statement!!!! Bacon and Pancetta... two things that go well with ALL meals!:lmao:

Thank you! :thumbsup2

I saw the pic on your TR and it does look great and sooo yummy!! We will be sharing either the pizza or cornflakes between us - don't think I could finish either one by myself!

Lol am sure it tastes great with the bacon on but I can't eat it! We both will be pescetarians for the entire trip so have been looking into the fish and vegetarian cuisine available. We only eat a certain type of meat and it is not available at Disney World :goodvibes

Sounds like an awesome day! We went to BB in 2008, it was fun! Don't worry about skipping the big slides, they are over before you know it, and the water that makes you stop at the bottom kind of hurts! :rotfl: Stick to the lazy river! :thumbsup2

Tanz it looks like you have made some great plans for your Blizzard Beach day! I have never had the cornflake french toast but it defiantly looks interesting. I might just have to plan to try it sometime, if you decide on it and enjoy it. :thumbsup2

I hope your mothers day went well. :goodvibes Yay for moms, they are great!

I am glad to hear you had a great time seeing Thriller. It sounds and looks like a lot of fun! I can't wait to read more popcorn::

My favorite part of a waterpark, The Lazy River. I could just float all day ! Maybe some day we'll try TL & BB out! For now I live through you:thumbsup2

Thanks - we had a great Mother's Day dinner!

Hope you and your mum had a great day :)

Ours was good, went to Claridges for tea which was nice. It's sort of a tradition now for me and my mum to do Afternoon Tea together :)

Sounds like a nice relaxing day, perfect preparation for Party nights :thumbsup2

Thanks hun! :thumbsup2 That breakfast does look interesting, doesn't it? ;) Think we are leaning more towards having that but may change our mind on the actual day  Will def let you know our opinion of it, if it is what we eat.

Mother's day went really well - mum's are sure great! :thumbsup2 Who else would do anything for you without any prior warning. My little sis always jokes that there should be a daughter's day as well!! :rotfl2:

Yeah we really enjoyed Thriller - it was nice to spend a fun day together :)

That is exactly my plans for the day!! I may get out for a little more extreme adventure once in a while but am sure will be heading back to my home for the day again soon after!

I'm hoping to get a waterproof camera to use at TL & BB so will make sure I take plenty of photos :)

That is great - sounds like you had a perfect afternoon :cloud9: It is nice to have a tradition and get to spend that quality time with your mum :thumbsup2

Thanks - I sure will be doing a lot of relaxing on this day! ;)

I forgot to change our ticker when I changed our dates. Have just done it today and though it is only a difference of 3 days it still means our trip will arrive that bit sooner, right? :rotfl:
