Congrats to Figment! That's great! I'm so proud of her I'm glad both girls are finally feeling beter. I'm sure they'll enjoy their day off!

Ok Peeps....I have to tell you how proud I am of my Martina!!!! When I picked her up from pre-school yesterday, one of her teachers pulled me aside and said that someone had made fun of a new girl and made her cry. Martina saw her Crying, and went up to her and said "I'm sorry she hurt your feelings. That wasn't nice to make you cry. I'll be your friend. Come play with me." She took her hand and took her over to play dress up with her. At age 4!!!! I am so proud of her! Yes, I'd like my kids to be smart and successful, but if they are good, caring people, I couldn't be more proud!

Yay Martina.....You must be a good mommy showing her the way!

Glad the girls are feeling better. Tink stayed home with a sore throat yesterday. Thought it might be strep, but Dr. says just post nasal drip (gross concept, when ya think about it! )

Tell figment I am so proud of her. I'll have to make a trip to Office Depot to see her mug shot. Let me know when it's up!

Don't go overboard shopping for me....unless you really want to....wait what am I talking about? ......of course you want to. Please feel free to go overboard!

Today we're going to get lots of it! Unfortunately it means our field trip to see CFIrque de Soleil at Madison Square Garden got cancelled! We could take the tickets and go down our selves, but I think travelling is just too dangerous today.

We've had record warmth the past couple days. The past few days, it's been up into the 80's. Today it turned a little cooler... Only 66.

Come on up to NY. We have about a foot of snow now! It's a winter wonderland! I love it!

It did help that the chorus director has a great sense of humor. He changed some of the lyrics. Made them more interesting.

I've had my share of snow. I lived in and around Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming for over 5 years. The coldest I've seen it get was -65F. And I've seen snow (in one storm) almost as deep as I am tall (I'm 6'2").

Ok my day today...

I got up at 6:45am and heard my phone ringing.. I answered it to my mom freaking out.. My nephew quit breathing.. (the one that was premature and had to have the surgery in february) I guess he had such a high fever that it caused him to quit breathing.. They did CPR and got him to breath again. Rushed him to the hospital and they gave him steroids to help him. He is fine now but it was a really looooooooooong stressful day.. He has a really bad cold and it was too much for him to handle. I'm still stressed out about it. Poor baby...

I love it! We need a new bathroom (really we do! It is a plumbing nightmare ), but we spent all our $$$ on the mouse last year!

I can totally relate.

Just back from DD(12)'s chorus concert! it was fun and relaxing. SHe had a solo! She had to audition for it. She was so proud that she got the solo and she did so well. Then we get home and the phone rings and dd(16) answers and says it's some man looking for her parents. Well the man is her math teacher and I think oh no! Well he says he was just calloing to let me and DH know what a pleasure it is to have my DD in class, because she works so hard and has such a good attitude. It's an honors class and is very difficult and he says that having kids like her as his students makes teaching so rewarding.

My heart is singing. WHat a great day!

Very busy lately

- Tot_P and Figment(dd11) sick this week. Tot_P has missed three days of school, was going back today but now it's closed....she is

-Figment went back yesterday...which was great because they announced that she was STUDENT OF THE WEEK!!!! She got her picture taken and it will be hang in our local Office Depot next week! We were very proud of her.

Need to finish shopping....kids are done, but need to do a few more things. Thank goodness for internet shopping.

Most of all...miss my peeps greatly! I need to go get ready for dumb old work now.

Oh did I mention I threw out my back this week too

ok we went last night and cut down our christmas tree. Its an hour drive there and then an hour drive back. Usually we are in the field for at least an hour.... We had our tree picked out in less than 10 minutes and were on our way.

Now lets see how long it will take for us to decorate it..
