Hi all! I'm one of the "lurkers" crawling out of the woodwork while all the big kids are down at the Motherland. I've been lurking since page one of this thread and have enjoyed every post. I don't have time to create a lovely avatar with dancing bananas and weird green thingies, because all my time is spent trying to keep up with this entertaining and educational(?) forum, but be assured I have a nice collection of lgmhpc's and plan to use them in January. We'll be at the parks the second week of Jan and will hop on the Wonder for a 4-day cruise on January 14th. First cruise ever! :sunny:

I've printed out all the instructions for getting a photobucket account and adding pictures and characters and smilies and stuff, so one of these days I'll have a real identity and not be just an anonymous poster. In the meantime, thanks for keeping me entertained during my lunch hour, every evening, odd moments, bathroom breaks, and all other spare moments. I'm hooked! :thumbsup2

:welcome:

OK, I was going to read this, but it is insanely long, so shoot me if you must, I'm starting here.

What do you do when you encounter other green Mickey heads? Wave to each other? Do you leave one with you're name on someone's stroller if you pass by and spot one, put one on a hotel door if you pass one?

I think it would be neat to hop off a ride, got to pick up the stoller and find a fellow DISser left their 'card' on the seat. :teeth:

Unfortunately unless you call tumbleweeds woods no forest around. We's in the high desert. Although he was hiding out in my aspen trees. So maybe he was having flashbacks to days of yore when he was a pup in the forest.

just did a property search and no sight of him today. Left a message with the DOW. I didn't find a rabbit carcass so if that was what he had he must of finished it. I just snuffed out the 6th rabbit nest of the year in my back yard. They are so cute and I hate to do it but it's been 2 years since I've had a rattle snake in the house that I have the kill or be killed philosophy around here. Just got a kitten this summer. Took DH a long time to come around to that (10-20 baby bunnies a morning on his grass did the trick). Now with coyote in the neighborhood going to be a while before Pete (kitty) can roam unattended.

I really like the stroller tip. I was planning on having many around with my name on them so if I saw one on a door I could slip one under. Although it doesn't look like any other limeys are headed during my time.

Good googliamooglie !!!! Where on earth do you live??? (I might have missed that..) I didn't know the dessert was so WILD!!!!! I would be moving pretty fast the day a rattler showed up in my living room!!! And forget about Coyotes!!!! (Wow, it was tooo exciting for me when my cat brought a snake into my living room a few times.....just babies though - garden variety...bleh!)
Woo, I think I'll stick with the wild and crazy pigeons we have around here!!! (Actually, we did have a big _ _ _ snake in the creek out back a few weeks ago - maybe time to move!!!!!!)

I've had them in my washer and dryer. Fixed the dryer vent problem but not sure how they get in the washer. I really hate doing laundry in the summer. I have a ritual of banging the washer before I open it up. my boys think I'm nuts. I think I would totally lose it if one got in the house itself. Darn boys are so bad at leaving the doors open I think they do it on purpose just to see if we can get one in. I about died when they brought a rabbit in the house (dead) and asked if they could keep it. They would quit trapping snakes if the rabbit could stay in the trap. Boys got to love them? :goodvibes

I'm not a psych major but let me tell you about the time i had trying to convince My DFi that it was worth it.

They don't believe it's different...till they get there...

I'm trying to buy my younger son a Gameboy SP on Ebay as we speak....he seemed too young for so long - but now loves ihis older brothers. Figure it will keep their paws busy just long enough on the plane. Hope I can find a good deal. (Ebay and Disboards....this is why I'm sitting at the computer instead of organizing my bookshelf as I'd planned for this day - guess I'd better get used to it since I've found the DIS board!!)

My ds won't live without this.:cloud9: Also check Game stop. I got a used one and they have used games at a pretty good price too! Also good to use in long lines in the parks where kids can't stand still! Of course, they carry it in there OWN waist packs!! :cool1:
