our secret green club? Part 8

Good morning peeps...I just wanted to share our good news.....No Teresa and Hugh and Kawand Katlas, etc...I am not preggers.

We made reservations to stay in WDW over Easter. We will be down the same time as PD for about 3 or 4 days. I am very excited. Everyone pray that my DH stays healthy. He got clearances from his doctors that he can fly again. Woo Hoo!!! So anyway...we can't stay at any of the wdw hotels, but we are only a mile away.



OK...my other good news (Teresa I shared this on the other board first because I feel like I am always bragging about TOT and I don't want to be "one of those mothers" and they are new to me, so they don't know I do that yet ) Anyway..TOT got a letter yesterday from the School Dristrict saying she was selected to be in The National Junior Honor Society. Which meens she gets excellent grades and participates in "extra stuff" I'm a proud momma. She will read this and be like

You have every right to be proud of your children. I am proud for TOT too Keep up the good work!
for WDW. Where will you be staying?

Personal question for you, PD or the ToT's. How many of the family are in the same area and same school's? That must make it much easier for all the "come see the kids" events & programs & games!

TOT B, NSalz and my families are all in the same school district but not the same schools. TOT B and Tot go to the same middle school. Winnie goes to a different middle school, but they shall sports teams so Winnie and ToT are on the track team together. Also in the city basketbakll league, Winnie, Tink, ToT ; tot 's little sister and TOTB's little sister were all on the same team. That was fun! 5 cousins on the same team! When the kids get to high school, they all go to the same high school. NSalz and I have a brother who has 3 boys, his oldest and LizzY are in HS together this year. He graduates in June, so LizzY gets the HS to herself for a couple of years and then all of the cousins invade, Tot Boy, ToT , Winnie and another cousing will all be in the same class in HS, the next year they will be joined by Tink, the year after that they are joined by TOT B's little bro and TOT 's little sis, and my brother's youngest son so there will be 8 of them at the HS at the same time for 2 years. The next year TotB's little sis will start HS

There is also a cousin in college and 2 in HS another school district, but it is a neighboring district where Nsalz, I and all our siblings went to school!

Now that is as clear as mud right?

ok...while I was chatting with you, the world outside continued on....obviously.... this is what I saw when I opened my back door

I was excited for a moment...I thought it was snowing.... nope...upon closer inspection, it's like ice pellets!!!

Yup! That's what I have too! Didn't realize it until I got out there. When I left earlier there was no accumulation, dropped DS off at school, and then ran to the store, in those short trips the ice accumulated. Unless you HAVE to go somewhere DON'T every crazy is on the road. Speed limits are not my thing, its more of a guideline and I was doing the speed limit while I was out there. Slippery all over. On my way to the store DH called, and said not to go anywhere, ummm too late. He said part of the GSP is closed for a multi-car accident, and small fender bender's on just about every highway. They are waiting for the moron's to get off the roads, and then going about their salting, and plowing. Looks like he'll be there all night long. Morons off the road heh!

yep and thats just one half of my family ..............................18 cousins together in all ......one day in german we had to do a family tree (except in german of course) and my one cousin who is on my dads side of the family is in the same class as me and she was like tot, you forgot half of the family(her half)heheheheheheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

My uncle is a retired bus driver in the city, and one thing he has always told my mother. Do NOT let the kids ride on the bus in the snow/ice. They are the worst. So, if you are debating on whether or not to pick them up....just do it. As for getting them early, that's up to you! Not sure if its going to get worse or not.

And for the SUV comment...I resemble that remark. But what most have to remember, just because its an SUV doesn't mean it has 4 wheel drive, and what most morons don't realize, is that on some of them, they have to turn a button to put it in 4 wheel drive Mine is all-wheel drive which is nice, but NOTHING helps in the ice, and half of the idiots don't recognize that. Because of the earlier rain, its a slushy mess out there.
