Ok you got me thinking my uncles had to be valentines day and my mom and aunt what's at the end of september? Now my kids were souvineers from various vacations.

Cody is a blizzard baby. We had a killer blizzard 9 years ago in which I was stuck working at the hospital for 72 hours. Wala Cody came along 9 1/2 months later.

Back when NSalz wasn't as incredibly nice as she is now, I often had the Job of babysitting her and our younger sister. The two of them (about ages 5 and 8 at the time) were doing something wrong....up to no good as usual....and surprisingly wouldn't listen to the loving guidance of wonderful me. A chase around the house began ... and as I was quickly gaining ground on the two hoodlums... The coffee table was pushed right in front of me. Causing a severe laceration to the area just below my knee. I bled and bled and bled and the 2 hooligans cried and cried and cried....concern for their darling big sister who was quickly becoming in need of a transfusion????? no the cry wasn't "are you ok, oh wonderful one?" it was "oh no she's gonna tell mom and dad....please don't tell mom and dad....please just say you fell...please, please, please?" Guess what....I told Mom and Dad! I probably needed stitches, but was too busy watching the delinquents to see to getting care for my slaughtered knee.... sooo I have a scar to remember the dreadful night. Yes Tot Princess and Tot boy...I'll show you the scar!

Speak'in of that; some kid checked me from behind last night right into the glass. This is a no checking pickup game, and I don't wear shoulder pads so it wasn't appreciated. I'm gonna be looking for him on Thursday night.

My DH has someone that he is going to tag next game. He got slashed on the back of the calf while he was down on the ice. I feel sorry for this guy cause my DH is wicked evil and he'll get him when he's so not expecting it.

I do remember those days! I have lived here almost all of my life and have seen this city grow like crazy. Don't play hockey but had fun going to games when I was in school. I work right across from the Air Force Academy.

We are now under an official "Blizzard" warning for tonight. Hummm day off tomorrow

YIKES!!!!!! Good luck with that! Hope we don't get that white stuff for a while. The person who decides if we close in bad weather is from Colorado & has a 4 wheel drive so we hardly ever close when it snows.

Anthony just got a penalty for back checking last night. Hey he only used his butt a bit. He can't wait to check. He is only a first year squirt so one more year to go unless he moves up.

Cody can't wait to check either. He's got 3 years. He tries to get away with them now and then. He's very aggressive but he's so much smaller than many players his age that he gets away with a lot I think.

At college 20 to 30 below was not unusual. With windchill off the river it was sometimes 60 below. I remember playing frisbee in the quad wearing spring jackets, when the temp got up to 0! Seemed sooo warm!

I work right across from the Air Force Academy but live near the Sky Sox statium. Long drive. They are still forcasting lots of snow but it is still not even that cold.
