Watch your language young lady! Just because you're 15 doesn't mean you can use symbols like " :eeyore:"!
That wasn't my fairy god daughter who said that :sad2: :sad1: :scared: :faint:

I feel for him, I truly do. I just scheduled my antibiotic shot for the strep. My sister has strep and we were together all weekend. Long story short, but I have a hard time with strep and can't get rid of it, get knocked on my butt for months on end. yadda yadda. So my Daddy paid for the doc visit (he paid for it because he insisted I go there this past weekend) for today, and they wanted to do it, but it was just me and DD. They did the strep culture, and took some blood. I told them I refused to get the antibiotic shot right now, so my Daddy is coming with me on Thursday to hold my hand, because I am petrified of it and I cry when I see that needle. I feel SOOOOOOO bad for your DS.
pixiedust: I hope he gets better soon!

I still don't understand why I have to get it if it comes back negative, but all they tell me is precaution. Something about the bacteria attacking other parts of my body not just the throat :confused3

pixiedust: pixiedust: Some more pixie dust for your DS. He deserves it!!!
Thanks a lot and same to you. Poor thing - I'm really sorry you have to deal with all of that. I never knew what a big deal the strep shot was - whenever I used to get strep (pre-tonsillectomy at 18) they did the Ab's via pills. Plus, as I mentioned, shots never really bothered me too much. (Well, there was one pain killer they gave me after back surgery that they warned me would hurt....and it DID!!!! YOW!!!) Now, I've had a few steroid injections to the lumbar region (essentially a spinal tap, but instead of taking out they are putting in...) - ahhhh, they suck....no nice way to say it. Oh, and another procedure I had to the lumbar in which they couldnt use a numbing agent. OH! Why am I doing this to myself knowing that I see my neurosurgoen in the AM?? A form of therpy???? :confused3 SORRY!!!!! :)

My Em was home from school sick again and I think she will be again! Please help me. If she is off much more I am gonna be in trouble with the school ::cop: Today she was so sick that she could hardly get outta bed. She has missed 5 days ALREADY and more than likely this will be 2-3 more days. Since she is a senior if she misses much more she will not get her credits and then not graduate with her friends.

OOPS i told myself no whining today. :guilty:
We are here for you to whine to silly. I hope she takes a quick turn for the better. :lovestruc

Lol. I was pretty upset, until I found out last minute I got into this GREAT school! :thumbsup2 It's doing well. Except Algebra. I am soo bad at it. The school is very clique-y, and all schools are hard to fit into being new, but I found a few good friends. :goodvibes

A few good friends is the best way to go :thumbsup2

Wow...they gave my mom a spinal tap in the ER at the hosp. in September. I was about to leave the room, but they had me stay (didn't really want to at the time) but glad I did. My mom held my hand the whole time. SO sorry for you and princess89. Sending you both good vibes :goodvibes

Hey I had my tonsils out at 22. We have so much in common Hugh! :)

Yeah, not that many people have them out as "adults" (I BEAR-ly was...) - my sister was 18 too.

It was nice of you to stay for your mom. I always went alone - which the docs always found weird. I pretty dang independant and "tough" (which in quotes cause I try really hard to be and mostly am.....BUT would, honestly love to have someone hold my hand....but never want to upset my DH/sisters/mom. They all seem to get so upset that its not worth it. Often I end up with some complete stranger nurse who takes pity on me holding my hand.... suffering alone in silence sucks sometimes.Oh well.

:rotfl: Hugh!!! I"m going to laugh about that one for a while!! :rotfl:
The only Hugh I know is this millionare dude I briefly worked for - he was SO old, rich, Richmond!!! :snooty:

OK...next time you go, you just give insults a call. If I can't be there in person, bring your cell phone and I will talk you through it! :teeth: I'll try not to make you laugh...that's a no no when dealing with the spine.
