I missed you all - even DH said to "tell the crazy people hello!" (this is a big step for him - acceptance - he used to be in denial that one could miss unseen Limeys!!!

Happy to be in my own bed tonight!!! Good trip......7 yo and I already started the planning of the next trip (list of top 5 hotels to pick from and selected all 10 places to eat dinner - we aim to stay 10 days next time - dream big!!!)

Gee, I thought the next trip was to DL! Glad you had a great trip. How did you like WL? Did you enjoy being on property this time? Did you take the busses? Are you going to write a trip report?!

I'm so glad to see Dobie, Mary.....I him - and may need to borrow him for some hug therapy!!! (Traveling with a 3 and 7 year old is not QUITE as "care-free" as you'd think! )

I drove for over 6 hours yesterday to Logan, Utah to take my friends kids to the dentist. So I went to Logan for that but we went shopping also. I noticed that there was a HD so I quickly cut a right turn and pulled into the lot. I told her to keep the kids I would be only a moment.

I ran in thru the exit and rapidly made my way to the paint deptpartment. I could read the big letters Disney but I didn't have my glasses with me. I saw for the very first time the most beautiful site. Hundreds of MHPC's! I found myself ready to cry at the site of the heads. I looked down and found about 10 shades of green and could not read the names. I picked up the first one and held it waaay out there and thought to myself, yes that could say alien so I took all but one head! Yes, all but one! I quickly had my treasure clutched in my hot little hands as I made a my quick exit for the door. My heart was racing and I was sure I would feel the hand of security on my shoulder but I had luck on my side this time and felt the rush of hot air hit my face as my MHPC's and I made it to the safe outside.

I flung open the van door to squel in delite to my passengers how wonderful it is that I had a handful of the most beautiful MHPC I had ever seen. My glee was met with blank stares. My dear friend looked at me as if I needed serious psychiatric help and asked what on earth was I doing. I immediate doled out heads to kids and we all played Mickey heads. For the next 2.5 hours all I heard was I need another MHPC for the back. I started to panic as I had to give my heads away to the deserving children! I only had a few left and they were mine, all mine, my teasure! The PC were cut off from the lovely children and I kept them next to me in the front guarded from the little hands.

After making the first drop off the children and parents I picked up my cell to check on my sweet mom who is 73. She drove the other way and did a 5 our trip to Idaho falls to get tile. She informed me that she went to HD and here is my sweet dear mom going up to the Disney paint section and she took every colour of green heads and chips they had! She even took the brochure on the Disney paint! How cute is that? Mom also loves the MHPC now and she doesn't even go to Disney but she said if that is all it takes to make me happy she will make sure she brings home as many as she can.

I love my LGMHPC and I have finally started my collection!

I had a good cry today. My mom and I did. Today was not a good day because my dad was sick. So here's the whole story:

Point 1-In May 2005 my dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Point 2-Doctors said that it's going to come back and it will eventually kill him.
Point 3-My dad means the world to me.
Point 4-Today, my dad got sick. He woke up with a HUGE headache and he actually threw up because of the headache. Which never ever happens.
Point 5-My dad never throws up
Point 6-It was probably a migrane
Point 7-Migranes can also lead to brain tumors
Point 8-My dad had a brain tumor before that will grow back.
Point 9-I'm scared because he goes for a MRI next week
Point 10-Lately my dad hasn't been feeling that great

I love my dad to death. I never want to lose him, I don't want to...I just don't.

I'm not a medical doctor, so I couldnt give any medical advise but I have worked in brain tumor research labs for 19 years (at the National Institutes on Health, Duke, and managed the lab at Medical Colege of Va. for over 9 yrs.) If I can offer any help at all please let me know. It sounds like you have a good basic understanding of things. But, do remember, even if it's returned the type of tumor is what's important. Many, many people live very long lives, even with the types that recur - they just have to have repeat surgeries. I will keep my everything crossed that the news is ok. Take care.

I'm not a medical doctor, so I couldnt give any medical advise but I have worked in brain tumor research labs for 19 years (at the National Institutes on Health, Duke, and managed the lab at Medical Colege of Va. for over 9 yrs.) If I can offer any help at all please let me know. It sounds like you have a good basic understanding of things. But, do remember, even if it's returned the type of tumor is what's important. Many, many people live very long lives, even with the types that recur - they just have to have repeat surgeries. I will keep my everything crossed that the news is ok. Take care.
