Oh, good luck. we ended up telling my kids that I was going to try to convince DH to go sometime in the next year or so....this way if they heard me say something I could say 'yeah we could do that at disney, if your dad agrees to let us go sometime soon' :teeth:

I ended up in the middle of summer telling the boys that we would start thinking about where we wanted to vacation the next couple of years since we missed our vacation this summer. I was dying to watch the planning video and this was the only way I could think of it without blowing my cover. My boys have only been to disneyland so I really wanted them to know exactly what wdw entails to make the surprise that much more grand. So Cody thinks in 2 years we go to wdw (when brody is big enough to ride all the rides).

Well I tried the boys out at the state fair this week on a few rides. We went one night when the rides were a dollar each and each one picked 5 rides. Cody picked going on a drop ride which was good because when we went to dl tot was the only thing he wouldn't go on that he was tall enough for. He loved it. The ht requiremnts at the sf are more stringent the wdw so there weren't too many grown up rides he was tall enough for. I think he is ready and probably the only rides he'll fuss over might be ee and rnrc. He will have a day at mk first to warm up and I think he is a coaster boy like his parents so it probably will be great.

Brody on the other hand "Is it fast". Well its a ride silly. His brother has a way of freaking him out and telling him about the scary parts and then he doesn't want to go. He did go on a little coaster that is similar to barnstormer but it really took some coaxing. I'm hoping that he does a little better in wdw. I'd really like him to go on everything he is tall enough for like splash mountain. We shall see how it goes.

That's why/how my oldest two learned how to cook! ;)

I did not think sisters were allowed to like each other until they were both older than 20

Anyone have big plans for the holiday weekend. We were supposed to have a major neighborhood clambake Saturday, but decided we had to cancel it because it is supposed to pour here! :sad2: This is an annual event that grows and grows to include more people every year. We're all disappointed.

But hey that gives DDs more time to clean their rooms this weekend!!!

We will be having a BBq on Monday, It started like always with about 4 other people and is now over 12, so if any of you are in Houston, (except Mets fans.......just kidding) come on over

Don't forget the "baby swap". Cody can go once with each parent if Brody doesn't want to go on, and you only have to stand in line once.

Well, here is an update on our lovely wind and rain.....our roof is leaking. Now to some people this could be the end of the world. To others, not really a big deal, cause you know we need a new roof anyway.
Well I fall in between them. Our roof is only 14 months old. Our home is only 14 months old. The warranty the builder gave on his workmanship-12 months.

But............. I am still going to Disney is 6 days :teeth:
(nothing will ruin my vacation!!!!!)

So, DD has to walk around 3 buckets.... it called agility training

I'm so glad to see Dobie, Mary.....I  him - and may need to borrow him for some hug therapy!!! (Traveling with a 3 and 7 year old is not QUITE as "care-free" as you'd think! :) )

Happy to be in my own bed tonight!!! Good trip......7 yo and I already started the planning of the next trip (list of top 5 hotels to pick from and selected all 10 places to eat dinner - we aim to stay 10 days next time - dream big!!!) :)

:sunny: Florida says hello to you all!!!! :sunny:

I missed you all - even DH said to "tell the crazy people hello!" (this is a big step for him - acceptance - he used to be in denial that one could miss unseen Limeys!!! :goodvibes

Yeah that's how we did things at disneyland but in the nature of time efficiancy and family fun I just hope he'll ride cause he'll be tall enough.
