 Hi folks! Happy Saturday. Even though I don't work there is still that special feeling to the weekend. :cheer2:

John's parents have invited themselves here and will be showing up sometime soon :scared: They are what all the In law jokes are fashioned after! They want to go on a picnic :confused3 It is pouring rain here! John told them last night that the Weather Network was calling for rain. So what says them ... doncha have a park with those pavillion thingess? Uhm yup Mom but it is our city's RIBFEST this weekend and they take over the entire park. OH so yummy -- we went yesterday for ours :Pinkbounc

I have refused to go and John knows that I can't handle them at the best of times AND i dispise picnics so I don't gotta go  Gotta love my man.

Hey I love that Dobie is offically a member of your siggy -- great way to add him BTW

Thanks! Hope you made it through the weekend ok! :grouphug:

Where'd everybody go? Has this thread ever been this slow?

I've been noticing this too. :( Course it makes it easy for me to keep up, but still :(! I think it's gonna be this slow till all the September people come back.

Also been having trouble with the threads themselves being so slow!

Just in for a minute. Dsis and I made autograph books today to take with us. I will take a pic of mine tomorrow and post it. She said mine came out better than hers but I disagree. I think hers came out much better (she is much better at that kind of craft than I am). I am still working on the shirts I told you all about. I am having tool issues though so it might be a while :sad2:
Well Dh has already gone to bed (the alarm goes off very early when he is working) so I am going to head that way myself. See you all tomorrow. :wave2:

Good morning everyone

Today my sis and I are supposed to make some autograph books for the boys (and one for me :rotfl: ) I am waiting to hear back from her now to make sure she is still coming over. I would do it myself but when it comes to scrapbooking and similar crafts she is sooooo much better than me. I am much better at :artist: than she is but she is the queen of scrapbooking in our family.

Well off to read some TR's. See you all in about 3 hours :rotfl:

Gonna make 1 for dh too? :rotfl:

:welcome: back!!!!! Glad you had fun. Can't wait for the TR!

Good Morning Y'All,

We got home last night around midnight. We had a GREAT TIME. My DW and I got to meet Teresa (Cross Family). She's really sweet. She told me to remind Lizzy that:

we only had a 5 minute wait on Pirates of the Caribbean!!!

LOL
Anyways, don't have time to post much else right now. We need to run to the store and get a few things. We'll try to get some pictures posted later today and I'll start on a trip report a lil later.

It's good to be home :)
Talk to y'all later.

Well the birthday party was a hit. 20 kids at the ice rink and no injuries. That is my idea of success. Cody had a blast too.

I went to a wedding up in the mountains yesterday. The ceremony was overlooking a lake and right in the middle of the vows down came a torrential rain storm. I hope it is not a sign of things to come because she has some serious medical concerns that she has not attended to due to getting the wedding done first. It was a beautiful trip though.

This is the wettest summer I can ever remember since I have lived in Colorado (12 years).

Unfortunately while we were getting rained on in the mountains my town got a storm of the century. It is now in the high 70's here and there are still 6 inches of hail piled up in spots. My trees and flowers are absolutely destroyed and they were so beautiful. Looks like everything else survived the storm ok at my house though. The state fair is just started and it always rains a bunch during the fair but I guess one of the event tents came down due to the storm.

Well got to get to hockey. See you all later.

Glad all the parties went well. G/l to your friend. It's supposed to be good luck if its sunny on the wedding day or if it POURS---since she got both, maybe she'll get extra helpings of GOOD LUCK!!! :shamrock: WOW hail!?!?!?!? GLad that there wasn't too much serious damage!

Welcome back, Mr. Oakie, hope you're "coming down" OK from your trip.
Have a great time, PoohGal. Remember notes, pictures, and a prompt TR (although I hurried to get mine done and now it's dropped out of sight pretty much). I won't be on much because I start teaching Kindergarten tomorrow. I am so excited. I got to meet most of my students on Friday. They are cute, cute, cute! :cutie:

Wow this is the slowest I have seen this thread.

Va Bear went to the state fair today and there was a bear show. They were european brown bears so probably they are decendants from the old country.

More rain tonight but thank heavens no hail. No fatalities either from the storm even though there were lots of rescues from cars in flash flood situations and a tree broke off and hit a man.

No dead rabbits that I could see although I did have a couple of dead birds. The rabbit population has decreased a bit since june and july. Probably either due to the cat who explores at will or the outbreak of tularemia.

This slow down in the thread may help me to keep caught up and actually get through everyones trip report.

Well off to bed tomorrow is Brody's first day of preschool. :sad2:
He's growing up too fast.

Wow, CO is going crazy with the weather this summer, isn't it?? That is just amazing. Armageddon!!

I think the slowing of the thread can be attributed to two things: school and WDW trips-in-progress. Even as busy as I've been with the beginning of the semester, I've been able to keep up, reasonably at least, with the TRs, too. It's helped me keep that post-WDW depression at bay (mostly!)

P.S. How do you know about Va-bear going to the state fair and seeing the bear show?! Why isn't she keeping ME up to date on her trip details!?

Go Brody, now in preschool! Does that mean you're going to have any time to yourself during the school day now, Michele, or do you just have to work weekdays anyway?
