Hi everyone

As of tomorrow morning I will be in the single digits for my trip and the best news is that I have a doctors appointment for Thursday afternoon and should be back on meds before my trip. No more mood swings means I will be able to enjoy the motherland all the more nor take any of my mood swings out on my sweet nephews or sister (that has been a big worry for me).

Thats great news sbd. We are getting so close. Woo hoo for us.

Okay Limeys, this will be my last official post of summer vacation. I'm off to do those crazy things like brush my teeth and read a book before I go to sleep. Of crap, I just remembered I have to get up at 6:30. Deep breaths, luv ya'll. Good night and have a pleasent tomarrow.

YUCK I hate the first day of school and I don't even go anymore. We had soccer practice; hockey practice; and open house for school tonight. I am so tired. I haven't even had time to get working on my TR. It does feel good to be home. I am sitting here looking at my messy house because I haven't even unpacked yet. Oh well it will be there tomorrow. I am trying to get my son set for his first day of school tomorrow. I have everything but a protractor. I'm sure he won't need it on his first day. So what have I missed since I've been gone?????????

It's actually been a little slow around here.

All the kids in the club have gone back to school or start tomorrow; Stinkerbellesmom has an adorable baby (even cuter than that Suri Cruise who magically appeared on the news tonight!); Nsalz and family snuck off to DIsney for a quick trip while you were there; TaraLee has a new job, her computer was broken but is now fixed; DISUNCs laptop is being repaired, a few successul swipes! Welcome back!

I love the fall.......except I was enjoying not having the morning rush of getting everyone ready and off to school and then getting myself to work on time. That all ends tomorrow.

That is the bummer of it the morning rush and my personal dislike is the nightly fight to read, do homework, spell, get to bed or whatever it is. In the summer I'm just more laid back about bedtime and it comes back to haunt me come school time.

Hope everyone has better 2nd school days. As far as leaves changing; I sure wish I could see that. The best I've got... the mesquite is still green, the cacti are getting prickly pears, and it's still 95 degrees! HELP!

OH i am sooooo happy for you! I totally understand the feeling of floating in the wind so to speak. Still no doc: meds I might have enuf to make it to end of month. Biggest problem for me though? I have no front line person to call in times of trouble. The past weeks has been positively wretched -huhm did I spell that correctly? I wish I could pick up the phone and talk to her since I know that if she heard my voice I would be in to see her

Yes, what's all this about leaves changing? You can see by my ticker that DH and I are planning a trip further north in CA (near Napa) for a mudbath, and hopefully by then (Veteran's Day) the grapevines around the wineries will change color. That's how we observe autumn around here.

The Aspens in the mountains will start to change in Colo around the end of Sept usually. It has been a really cold and wet summer by Colo standards so it will probably be earlier and not as golden as usual. I bet the grape vines are pretty.

Well I got my pets taken care of today for the journey.

DH and I still at some disagreement at where the news should be broke to the boys. DH thinks we should wait till we get to the airport. My mother in Law won't be there so I'm thinking that airport might be a good idea.

My original plan was to ask the gate agent to put a gift box in their seats but oops then I remembered about all this security mumbo jumbo and realized that won't work. Best laid plans. Then I thought about a treasure hunt but I think we are going to be a little short on time for that with the security screening.

Sleeping Beauty Dreamer, do you take offense when people call you SBD? My sister used to do those and then pull the blanket over my head and trap me. Another reason DS will be majoring in psychology in college

The bats in our neighborhood are really going to town. We can hear them squeaking as they fly through our backyard. Kind of eerie, but we've had a few cases of West Nile Virus around here, so anything that eats mosquitoes is with me. That's also why I've been leaving the garden spiders in peace this fall and letting DS take any 8-legged invaders outside rather than me stomping them and shouting, "Die, die, die!"

Those of you who have flown recently are the liquid bans still in effect? I am going to wither without my bottle of water on the plane.

I read that airlines are stocking more on the plane, but I also think you can buy them once you pass security, as long as you don't mind paying more for a pint of water than you do for a gallon of gas.

Have a fantastic trip. for everyone to stay healthy, but for heaven's sake, get those kids some Purel and Airborne to go along with the pixie dust!
