Guten Tag!

that's it, all I know lol. DS's leaning toward taking German. I took 5 years of Spanish & remember very little (of it or HS in general - dazed & confused I guess). Perchance too many eons have passed. LOL

His other choice is Latin.

My father would speak German alot. He always sang Silent Night in German. I know very little. Here's one word I do know very well, but sadly not enought to spell it its pronounced "mock-shnell" basically it means "MOVE". Hmmm, wonder how I learned that . I use that word on the kids & the dogs! I took up to Spanish IV too. I remember some things but not enough to converse. I can read some too, which sometimes comes in handy at work. The biggest use I've had so far is helping my ds. I would advise people to learn Latin which is the root of all or go with Spanish since there is such a growing Hispanic/Latino community.

boy are you right about learning latin! It's not nearly as widely taught as it once was. Our grandmother took it in High School and she is 86, but it's not even offered to our kids.

thanks for the heads up!! Hey you want to hear something funny. The tv in my room is starting to go and the colors are messed up and everything looks lime green!! so after staring at these boards for a while and then looking at my tv for a while i think I will be dreaming in green!!

i know! isn't that dumb? of course, this is the only doctor/hospital in the area that will take the insurance his job offers. otherwise we'd have to drive to Mass....

i feel a little guilty for saying this but, i think you guys will understand...

i almost glad i'm pretty much never home when he pukes. Thank god for my job and having to be there at 4am. He is the most vocal vomiter (is that a word?) i've ever heard. and my reflex for that is nill. but at the same time i wish i could be there, because i don't think anybody likes being sick by themselves.

Don't beat yourself up, you're there for him as much as you can & that really counts. My dh is loud too--

Do i aquire the ability to watch someone vomit after i've had kids? because my mom, his mom, my Grandmother and all my aunts don't seem to have this problem.

Let me tell you, I used to work at a daycare & could handle most things, especially if no one else was around to take care of it. Well my dd1 cured me of that. She has the most God awful vomit. It smells soooooo bad I can't even be near here. Thankfully it doesn't bother dh at all. Times like that remind me that he's a keeper . But I still haven't ruled out making him get us and doing only when we ever have a meet in WDW.
