95% of my vocabulary cannot be found in the dictionary.

One of my highschool English teachers told me that once you say a word atleast 72 times its "your" word--meaning its now a part of your vocabulary.

I think the only reason I get French is PD talks in it all the time, so I know what it sounds like.

I don't think it works quite that way. It just suprised me because sentences in Spanish are never in order so I thought that would be more confusing for him. Apparently not though.

You know, My DS is 15 and dyslexic as well. He got Spanish lessons that he downloaded to his ipod and is doing AMAZING... I am quite shocked honestly. I always expect good things, but he has exceeded my expectations. His true motivation however is so that he can speak to the girls in the South American Tour groups at Disney, last year he almost forgot about Disney cuz of all of the time he spent googling the girls... hey whatever motivates him! I hate to break it to him that by the time we get there this year they will already be gone...

boy are you right about learning latin! It's not nearly as widely taught as it once was. Our grandmother took it in High School and she is 86, but it's not even offered to our kids.

One of the schools that we were interviewing at for my ds insisted all freshman take atleast 1 year of Latin to help them with their grammer & again because its the root of all words. After the first year they could continue with Latin or go with another language. My son was really excited & wanted to go to that school because he wanted to stay with Latin. Well he misunderstood them, he didn't realize they meant Latin I, II, etc... He thought he could keep taking the class until he passed.

Sorry...sorry ....sorry..... I can't do anything until I get my laptop back....but once the geek squad releases my baby (you know after I pay the HUGE ransom ) I will be able to help anyone who is having trouble signing on....and I will be able to add any questions that ya'll would like.

Oh its good to hear someone say they loved the Hoop most say they don't like it. Katlas&kids and my family are meeting up to see the show together. We both cancelled our origional resvs. and made one for both our families. We are both so excited.

My family has seen the HDDR 3 times.... they love it!!!! we are seeing it again on our next trip. You will have a great time!!!
