Hi y'all..I ran/walked (mostly walked) today for about an hour...haven't exercised to speak of in years, and years....I would love to start training for the Disney 1/2 marathon in January...I really feel like I could finish...Has anyone ever done it?

I figure if I can train myself to do it, a solo trip to run in it would be my reward...what do you think??

Well, right now we are discussing how smelly boys are...care to add anything?

since you were doing this, I thought I'd mention I hae 3 of them, 2 in their 20's and a almost 10yo. The oldest spent a lot of his younger years, from 4 1/2 - 8th grade in various forms of casts, including at least 6 body casts due to a genetic brittle bone condition. Talk about smelly and the odor of him getting out of those things up to 12 weeks later!! Now, thankfully, they can tell him to stay still and he will, but those things are the smelly pitts!

Juliette Lowe's birthplace, that's it....It sounds like a lot of fun...Tell them to be careful, there is a lot of crime in the downtown/historic area. I live outside that area, towards the ocean...I'm afraid to go downtown at night, but during the daylight (or with a group) it is such a beautiful city..really. I know they will have a great time here...

Hi, kids! Just checking in. I am now swamped with work finishing out this summer term before taking off on vacation. Staying caught up is crucial if I don't want to spend my WDW vacation stressing about what didn't get done before having to begin the fall term upon arriving home. It was great to hear from PD, Lizzy, and Anc96! Glad you all are having fun!

Clearly there are Diser's on Staten Island....Not one alien green at the Home Depot! Every last slot full, except alien green. This was at 8 am yesterday. Not to worry though, the Behr paint rep restocks on Wednesay mornings I was told. So, we will see. BTW- Conner grabbed like 5 other colors though-he was so amazed to see "Mouse" at the Depot!

$90 registration fee for the Disney Marathon...well, there's another dream crushed. why on earth did I think that ANYTHING at WDW would be cheap?? (I was honestly thinking about $25-30 ) Oh well, I can still keep on training, maybe still take a weekend by myself as a reward...yeah, like any of that will EVER happen....

Hey! that's what i did when my Best friend and i went dieting...i told EVERYONE. because if i didn't actually do it i would have had 20 people bugging me about it.

Oh. so now I have to tell everyone I'm dieting, too? As if the shame of failure of keeping up an exercise program that is probably doomed from the start isn't hard enough, now I have to share my diet with you guys, too??


Ok.

Here it is.

I pledge to lose at least 15 pounds by Christmas..nevermind that this will be raging during my favorite candy holiday (Halloween), my favorite fattening-foods-with-butter-all-over-everything holiday (Thanksgivng) and my favorite baking/cookie holiday (Christmas.).....this will be my final "arguement" for my DH to give in and go willingly to WDW. "But I lost 15 pounds to go to WDW-just for you!"

I started today...I was even going to give my boys my secret stash of chocolate, but I left it on the table last night and they ate it when I wasn't looking... I dunno about you guys, I love my boys, but there are some things I just don't share...with anybody...chocolate is at the top of my list!!
