Hmm, well I guess I can squeeze her and try to "juice" it out of her....
No, she is just wierd, truly loves everything about school. She's my little smarty, she was reading at age 4 and could write anything too. She is now starting second grade and reads at 4th or 5th grade level. Plus is in the TAG (talented and gifted) class for science, english and math.

I am so jealous. I love my kids and it is so hard to see them struggle and know that part of it is my fault.

But I also know that things will work in there own time and someday this will be ok, also!

I would go with the flow. Your kids are old enough you don't need a schedule. I cna't wait for mine to get older so i don't have a stroller and can go at will

Right now I have Markeesh for dinner and Garden Grill at lunch. Can't remember the time but I think near 3. But we will both be in Epcot somewhere that day! Will see what hubby and the kids want and then cancel one or the other!

Well the best part of yesterday was I did finally finish the Harry Potter book!

Yesterday morning I decided to sleep in a little so I had dh and ds drive me to work.

Get a call about an hour or so later, dh and ds stopped to play a little bit of soccer in the front yard when they got home. One of them kicked the ball out & dh went to get it & found

only he found it with his foot. He & ds heard a huge POP!!!!!!

Long story short dh ended up breaking his right ankle on both sides of his ankle & tearing his tendons. The drs wanted him to stay in the hospital so they could flush out the swelling today & operate tomorrow to put in a plate and some screws-- getting released on Saturday!

Sounds good right!

They rebroke his ankle and set it in a soft cast while they were waiting for more x-rays.

Not to dh, he had a FIT (major understantement). He absolutely refused to stay in the hospital. I was sorry I ever came, he kept following me around--walking on his ankle arguing with me--even when I was even talking. No one could get him to see how important it was for him to stay. At one point he even slammed his bad foot on the floor twice in a temper. (DUMB )

Finally we ended up going home. Only to have him announce in the car how sorry he was & that he was dumb and should've just stayed in the hospital!!!! He called today as directed to set up an appointment for surgery next week. For a while there was a chance that he could've gone back into the hospital today, but someone else took his spot. So Monday he goes to see the Orthopedic Specialist and they will set something up from there. He promised to keep it elevated last night & he wasn't doing that either!

I think he knows he ticked everyone off cuz he's trying to be really loving & sweet today! Hopefully he'll be scheduled for surgery soon & can really start recovering.

Ouch!! I don't see any ice bag either. That swelling is going to be ginormous if he doesn't keep it iced!

I agree! It is in some ways even harder to have Catie SO into it all, and Meag struggling so much. Catie is already reading above Meag's level, and they both know it, even though she is 2 years younger. We keep telling her that everyone is good at different things and I KNOW that she will find her place, but it is still so hard...

Hi Limeys! I haven't even packed yet! I just did a bunch of laundry though. I've learned something. When Allie is really tired she should not do laundry unless she wants a big pink magenta stain on her white shirt. I kinda put a dark in the light load. Woopsie. Blonde moment.
