Our School District canceled school for tomorrow....

Thanks, Helene! Um, do the Lehigh Valley residents realize that they're confusing people* on the DIS who recognize that acronym only as Las Vegas, and that they're simply going to have to change it? :rotfl2:

*"people" = me ;)

You must not be from PA.. heck we even cut our state down into just 2 letters! No one here even says Pennsylvania! Just PA! :rotfl:

ETA we are off for the day... so far nothing major going on... we will be getting hammered later..

Here in the CSV (Central Susquehanna Valley for all you non-PAers ;)) and much to the dismay of my DD, there were no cancellations, or delays, and as of now, no early dismissals. We are expecting 6-12 inches, with the worst falling this afternoon. Judging by the low numbers of gallons of milk still on the grocery shelves, I think we're really in for 2 or 3 feet! :lmao:

I often wonder about the liability a school district may face, if there is a serious bus accident on a day they didn't close schools, but ALL the districts around them did? :confused3

The roads here are not snow-covered yet, but it's been snowing for a while. They probably could have gone to school and had an early dismissal, to get the day in anyway. (they have to go 1/2 day in order for it to count towards their 180 requirement). It's supposed to get much, much worse this afternoon and tonight overnight. They've upgraded the storm here to 12-18". Yay.

I'm pretty sure there will not be school tomorrow either...so now we'll be losing days at Easter.

Someone please stop the snow, we are running out of room to put it! (I live in a development)

I feel your pain! We live in the city...on-street parking, no front yards! There are piles of snow everywhere, with cars in between! In our neighborhood, you see all the parking spots with chairs and cones and all kinds of things saving the space! :rotfl:

We really did get 3 ft of snow the last time!:rotfl: It was amazing! Right now we are at about 3-4"

I hope this isn't as huge as it is in the preview!

Keep it up north...I really won't mind ;)
Did you guys ever shovel out from that one?

We haven't had one snow day all winter! The weather people keep predicting these big storms and then everywhere around us gets some snow and we get skipped over.

If you give me your address I will gladly send you some of ours! :lmao: Just saw a sign on the local news. Someone e-mailed the station a picture of a sign outside a local church it read -WHOEVER PRAYED FOR SNOW PLEASE STOP! :rotfl2: We are working on a record 70+ inches and I have had enough:scared1:
