Here are our reviews for Prime Time Cafe, San Angel Inn, Biergarten, and Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom.
Prime Time Cafe (dinner) - This is another family favorite and again it did not dissappoint. The waitstaff here is so fun!!! This time we had Cousin Tofer as our babysitter and he was great. We ordered our usuals - DH had the pot roast, DD had the fried chicken, DS had the chicken nuggets, and I had the meatloaf. The food was good, not great (well except for the smores that we always have for dessert, LOL!) , but we come here for the fun not the food.
San Angel Inn (lunch) - This is DD's favorite restaurant at WDW so of course we had to eat here again. I had the queso fundido and the frozen strawberry margarita. Both were wonderful!!! DH had the Tacos Al Carbon, DD had the Plato Mexicano (a combo platter w/ a taco, quesadilla, and enchilada), and DS had the chicken strips (no big surprise there, LOL!). Again we all enjoyed this restaurant. DH's only complaint is the lighting (or lack there of). The rest of us all like the night time atmosphere (DS even got a little nap in). Also the mariachi band happened to be playing (in the marketplace right outside the entrance to the restaurant) during the time that we were eating lunch so we got to enjoy their wonderful music while we ate. I'm pretty sure we'll be returning to San Angel Inn, we'll just have to bring along a flashlight for DH, LOL!
Biergarten (buffet dinner) - This was another one of the few Epcot restaurants we hadn't ever tried so decided to do so on this trip and we are very glad that we did. The buffet food was very good. They didn't have a separate kids' buffet table but our kids were able to find plenty to eat (even picky DS who I'm surprised hadn't turned into a chicken finger by now, LOL!). The show (which had two performances while we were there) was lots of fun. The kids had fun dancing to the chicken dance. DH and I would probably have been out there doing the chicken dance too if we'd had any more of that good German beer and wine, LOL!
Rainforest Cafe (lunch) - DH had refused to return after a bad experience here 3 years ago (freezing cold restaurant, poor service, bad food) but somehow the kids were able to talk him into giving it another try. Although our experience was better than last time, we probably won't be returning to RFC. We have come to the conclusion that this place is nothing special. Why spend our time and money here when WDW has so many wonderful restaurants???
Well, sadly that was the last meal of our trip. We skipped dinner our last night, but did get desserts from the French bakery at Epcot. Love those Napoleons!!!
