Iraq has everything to do with 9/11. Saddam was a huge financial supporter of terrorists.
And, I have to highly disagree as far as this talk of our country being better off if Gore had been in office. First of all, it is impossible to say what he would or wouldn't have done. He didn't win the presidency. It's so easy for anyone not in the current president's role to bash him for the actions he takes.
Secondly, the economy had started it's downward turn before President Bush even took office. The stock market is very siclical, and was then greatly impacted due to 9/11.
It's easy to blame everything on President Bush because people always feel compelled to point the finger of blame elsewhere.
Surely, had Gore taken office, the outcome as far as the economy goes would have been the same, we still would have been attacked.
As far as the war on terror goes, we can't say for sure what Gore would have done. But I am VERY glad that President Bush was in office, as our country is a safer place now than it was before 9/11. I can honestly say there are some things that the president has done that I don't personally agree with, but I truly believe that he has done everything he possibly could to keep us safe. My husband is a pilot for a commerical airline, and his safety is priority one in my book!
