The room was nice enough but, as a "view", I was not overly impressed by this.

The balcony was so small that there was only sufficient room for one chair and the extremely small coffee table. Luckily both doors opened outwards and we were able to pull the table and dining chairs to the window and sit there enjoying our meals. Part of the problem with the balconies is that the doors swing open outwards. It would be much better if they were sliding doors, as at SSR.

We had this view 10 years ago before the trees grew so much. Then it was great! Sorry you weren't impressed this time. I agree about the balcony.

My very favorite garden view at BWV is at the FAR end of the hallway from the elevators (near JellyRolls).....it is a very far walk, but, we love the views from those balconies.....I always request a high floor.... 3rd or higher on the canal side .....I would never ask for a specific room number......I think that's asking for too much. But, anyway, that entire hallway runs along the canal and IMO it's one of the nicest views at any of the DVC resorts. We love to sit out there in the early morning with a coffee or the evening with a drink and just watch the boats on their way to/from Hollywood Studios.

OP, never plan on staying at VWL because the view you had at BWV shows a lot more than the views at VWL. Every view at VWL will be trees, trees and more trees. I enjoy the view at VWL, but I don't think you will if you didn't like your BWV view.

And it actually looks like you got a pretty nice "garden" view.

I'd have liked that view - although not as much as BW view. BW and AKV have the best views at Disney - but Boardwalk has the WORST balconies. They are sooooo tiny. Such a shame with such great views!

We stayed in a studio directly above the "Thimbles" of Thimbles of Threads and those balconies were HUGE!!! We joked that we could throw a party on that balcony.

I realize they're in an odd spot but if a big balcony is what you're looking for, one of those store-top rooms might be the answer.

I agree. We stayed above Boardwalk Brewery and wow, that was a big balcony. We stayed in the yellow part next to it last time, and wow! that was a small balcony.

I've heard that the balconies just above Wyland Galleries are quite humungous.
