Hi there,

I have seen others post their plan information for their trip and never really understood why but now that I am getting close to my trip I want to make sure to have as much info as possible and with all of the experts on this site, maybe someone will pass on some information or advice, for something I didn't think of.

Our trip is booked and paid for but our TA didnt book through Walt Disney. She got us a package through a different operator.

We aren't staying Concierge, but would like to. Does anyone know how I can do that before I get to DL? We are staying at PP.

We arrive on Sunday and are going to go to the park right away. So we will spend Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat at the parks. Tuesday will be for Seaworld, Thursday will be for the Anaheim Angels game and DTD. Friday we are going to take a trip to Splash City. Does anyone know how much cabs will cost to Edison Field and to Splash City?

On Saturday my husband and I will be celebrating our wedding anniversary and we thought we would go to StoryTeller cafe and I wanted to surprise my husband and children with the Fantasmic dessert buffet. How far in advance can I buy those tickets?

My daughter is 4 and I think at some point she will need a stroller. Can I get a stroller at anytime or only at the entrance?

TIA for taking the time to read my questions.

Hi there! I will try and help. :)

You would need to contact your TA about upgrading your package to include concierge, that is the only way to handle it in advance.

Edison Field and Splash City are both just a few miles from Disneyland and cab fares should not be too bad...I can't tell you exactly as I don't take cabs here but it should be reasonable.

Just a suggestion, the Storyteller Cafe is a nice, casual restaurant with good food but it's not exacty quiet or romantic. :) If you would like some suggestions for other restaurants that are a little more special for an anniversary just let me know.

I haven't seen when Fantasmic is starting up again so depending upon when your trip is it may or may not be showing. There is a post at the top of this board with the details on booking the dessert buffet.

Stroller rentals are only available at the entrance to both parks.

Hope that helps a little! :)

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for your reply.

I think I picked Story Tellers cafe because we have young children and they will be with us of course. My thinking was that I didn't want to go to a fancier restaurant with the kids and have them not eat anything off the menu.

We are going the last week in August, so hopefully Fantasmic will be back on. I was thinking instead of spend more on dinner I would splurge on the dessert buffet?

What do you think? Do you think that we should go to a different restaurant? Is there one that would accommodate a 6 yr old and a fussy 4 yo eater?

TIA.

AH, with children Storyteller's is a great choice. :) I thought you were getting an evening alone.

By August Fantasmic should definitely be back on and the buffet is a great splurge for the family. :)

Fantasmic is running on selected days in August. You need to make the Dessert reservations for the day you want to go a month in advance (ie. If you want reservations Aug. 27th, you'll need to call July 27th for reservations). You make them by calling (714) 781-4400. The balcony seats always sell-out so don't wait too long to call. The price has increased since last year. It is now $47/per ticket for adults & children.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

How do you know which days Fantasmic is running in August?

I am hoping to go on Saturday, August 30th.

Does anyone know if it is running on that day.

I read to take the later show as it will be less busy, does that sound right to you guys?

Thankyou,

cndncruiz- Fantasmic does run on Aug. 30th (9:00 & 10:30). If you decide to change your date, you can go to www.disneyland.com & click on the tab that says calendar & pick the date. It will show the park hours & showtimes for both parks. It will also show which rides are being refurbished.

Hope this helps!

I just got off the phone with a CM for reservations who informed me that "it is no longer a dessert buffet, but a reception" with no further explanation. Does anyone know what this means???? He didn't know, thats for sure!

So, before I shell out $47 pp:eek: (well worth it, I'm sure, but I always like to know what I am getting.....) I was hoping someone could inform me on this one!

Nobody has done the new "Balcony" seating yet, because the first show since the refurbishment isn't until June 14th.

I went to it last year, but it was still a buffet at that time.

Maybe after it starts up again, the CM's will be able to help you more.

Hope this helps!
;) :D ,
