Hi! I'm Allison. I can't wait to tell you all about our amazing trip to WDW. We were there from Wednesday, February 2, 2011-Friday February 11th. Our original plan was to stay for 9 nights at POP in a standard room with a 10 day park ticket. However Tinkerbell dumped pixie dust on us and- things didn't quite work out that way....
Joining me on the trip were David (DH), DS(5), and DD(2)
How We Told The Kids
We decided many months ago to make this trip a special Christmas morning (which also happens to be my son's birthday) surprise for the kids. I filled different sized boxes with things the kids would use on the trip and had them open each box (smallest and hardest clue first) one by one. If I remember correctly the first box had Disney coloring books and crayons, second box had new crocs, third had disney tshirts for each member of the family, fourth had disney beanie babies, fifth had park maps, and the last boxes (one for each kid) had jumbo helium balloons in them with park tickets tied to the end. The balloons floated up to the ceiling when the kids pulled the lids off- just like in the commercials. It was so fun to see their reaction (I cried lol). I then presented them with a large countdown calendar made from mickey heads (sorry home depot). 40 days and we will be in DISNEY!
And the calendar- not a great pic. DD is making an odd face, and some dates have already been crossed off- but you get the idea...
