We leave in a about a month :cool1: , for our FIRST trip to WDW, which I had to convince DH for years to take. When we booked it, he warned me that it was a once-in-a-lifetime type trip, because he felt we should go when the kids are little, then move on to other vacations that you can do with older kids more easily (we like intense backpacking, etc, that is hard to do with toddlers). I agreed in theory, but knew I'd want to go again.

Well, after researching everything with me, and planning, last night he casually mentioned that NEXT trip to WDW, we should plan to rent DVC points, and try to make a side trip to the Space Center, too. Hmmm. Next time? Oh, he said, we're definitely going again. How are we supposed to get to everything this time?

So after this trip in Dec, there may be more planning in my future!

Great news for you!! :woohoo: And its never to early to start planning that next trip!!

We did the "once in a lifetime" Disney vacation too...then decided we needed to go back...next year it's Tokyo Disney...then back again to WDW with the extended family...I think there are many, many "once in a lifetime" folks who just get hooked...maybe it's something in the water...

Disney has something to offer every age, you are going to want to go again when the little ones are old enough to ride the big rides, etc. We would even love to do an "adults only" trip because we would do different things then when we take the kids. We do enjoy other trips also, it is not an all or nothing thing. We will be going to the Grand Canyon next spring. We do 2 or 3 trips a year, with WDW being our destination once every year or two.

Lucky duck!

Since I do all the research and planning for our trip, I've taken great pains to make sure that my husband really loves this trip as much as the kids and I do. My plan is to mention things while we're there that will inspire him to go again. "Too bad there isn't time to golf this trip" :rolleyes1

That is what happened with us. He was never going again, it was going to be a long boring vacation, he didnt want to really go to begin with. He got there, had a wonderful time and 2 weeks after getting home paid the deposit for our next trip, it's this December!!!! We did it all last year, the wonderland tea, the princess tea party, Mvmcp, La Noumba, etc. So this time we are relaxing a little more.
