We had an Ohana breakfast ressie for 8:25AM. This was our first time here and 1st time visiting the Poly hotel as well. Ohana's is located on the 2nd floor. We went up and you check in & they give you a buzzer. Then you are directed to the photopass lady who will take an Ohana photo op and a guy was also waiting there to a put a Lei on each of us. He also offered to take a photo w/ our phone. After the photo there are nice comfortable mini couches & we waited for our buzzer to go off. Less than 5 minutes after we sat, it was off. Then directed to our table where we were served. Our host picked up our bread basket along the way. (Cinnamon bread and the famous pineapple bread). Both were okay- nothing special but it was fine!
The "Stitch Juice" was pretty good but as soon as my DS7 tried it, he said "Oh this tastes just like the mango V8 juice". It's funny b/c he was 100% right.
The characters came over to our table right away, before we were able to start eating. Lilo came first, then Stitch, then Mickey then Pluto. It was so cute!
The food was ok. I recently read someone else's review that the food is the same mass produced breakfast food they serve at the quick service counters in the resorts. That might be true. Mickey waffles did taste the same as counter service as did the bacon, etc. However, we were not expecting a high quality meal- we knew that we were paying for the experience of it all and we were not disappointed. The characters were all fun, loving and my kids were sooo excited to see them and it was worth it!
I like to eat on the healthier side and requested egg white scrambled eggs and turkey bacon. The eggs (IMO) weren't very edible b/c they weren't cooked fully. I don't like my scrambled eggs slimy so I ate a minimal amount. The turkey bacon was good though and I ate a bunch of that!
Also, there is a little parade- a CM passes around maracas to the kids and then directed them to get in line behind Lilo and they played music and had the kids dance around the restaurant in their parade. That too was very, very cute!
We enjoyed the experience. Ahead of time I had told my children (DS7 & DD4.5) that we were going to eat at Lilo & Stitch's house- that pumped them up. They were tired from doing parks 4 days in a row and I knew this would get them excited to leave the hotel room..lol
For anyone considering Ohana's, I suggest you try it at least once, especially if you or your kids like Lilo and Stitch.
