oh, don't worry. beana actually looked fabulous the whole trip. what i'm referring to is one of those disney fashion moments we've all witnessed.....and i've got pictures!

that's a good question! i asked ray and he said something that i can't repeat here, so i won't. i just googled it and i found this link. it looks like it's some sort of pelvic bone, maybe? kinda scary anyway!

something i forgot to mention to you guys.....ray decided that he was gonna start a pin collection this trip by getting a pin at every park. here's the one he got at AK earlier that day. as memom knows, it's almost impossible to get a clear picture of a pin. so this is the best i could do.

does anyone know why they have a dragon on this pin? i don't recall seeing any dragons at AK. oh, well.

back to the TR.......

when i last wrote i believe ray and i had just taken a trip back in time to catch a dinosaur. we decided to do the marahajah jungle trek next. we walked back by EE on the way to check the wait time. i think it was around 50 minutes at that point. still a no go - not when i have a fast pass in my pocket!

we bypassed kali river rapids this time. it wasn't too hot and i HATE walking around wet unless it's just scorching outside. oh, and you know what we never saw this time? those loud monkeys near kali. they were going crazy last year. we saw them this year but they weren't making any noise or acting crazy at all.

ohhhhhhhhhh.......bamboo! i just thought this looked cool for some odd reason.

okay....so first came this thing. i can't remember the name of it! last year it was up and walking around, but this time it pretty much snoozed the whole time we were there.

next were the bats. now, i have to warn you before you view the picture below. I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GONNA SAY. please don't get my TR banned by any inappropriate comments. i posted this pic because it shows what i saw on my trip and i wanted to share it with my readers. i just wanted to point out the obvious so it doesn't become an issue that gets someone points due to a picture on my TR. believe me......everyone there saw what you're seeing and commented on it.

okay.....now that you've had your bat anatomy lesson for the day.....onward we go.

the tigers were also being very elusive that day. i only got a couple of good shots of them.

i think he's waiting for his food! lunch time!!!!!

then we saw these deer-looking things.

this was my view this entire day: ray with his video camera. the boy loves to film!

i thought this was pretty (minus the vols hat worn by my hubby)......

wasn't there a good-looking asian guy and his tongue on this not too long ago?????

after the trek we decided to head back to the safari to see if it was up and running again. on the way, i got behind a sweet little lady who was just stylin!

bless her heart......she just loves her some mickey!

we made it over to the safari around 1:00 and.....yay.......it was up and running! so we hopped in the fastpass line and were on our way to save big red's baby yet again in no time!

my picture are always awful on the safari.....it's so bouncy!

i think the bounciness of the safari made flat beana and flat mattica come out of hiding. they know how i feel about birds, so they decided to take a picture with them instead of making me do it!

we actually saw giraffes this time! i've never seen them this close up before.

erica has expressed to me how much she loves the giraffes, so i managed to get a pic of flat mattica with them!

lazy lions......do these things ever do anything but sleep?

when i was a young wart hog....................

we had a pretty decent safari considering we rode it in the afternoon, when it's the most hot. i was pleasantly surprised!

now i have to vent. the safari was the first time i got frustrated with my fellow disney guests. there was a family of four sitting behind us, a mom, dad and two boys. the smallest boy was about 2 and he was standing up IN THE SEAT the entire ride. even after the fake bumpy part, they still didn't make him sit down! but that wasn't the worst part. the older boy was probably about 5 and he stood up the entire ride, too, only not on the seat but on the floor and right behind me. he was SCREAMING in my ear the ENTIRE ride! and every time he'd see something he'd hit me in the head from pointing to his mom and keep screaming in my ear. it was REALLY annoying! believe it or not, i love kids and i'm usually really good with them. but this was just ridiculous. i understand that you're at disney, but is that an excuse to keep hitting the person in front of you in the head and not even say you're sorry? why do people let their kids behave this way? i just don't get it.

anyway, i was happy to get off that ride and away from that demon and his moron parents!

up next......festival of the lion king and pumba gets friendly with the flat ones!

yeah.....that would be sure to leave a good impression on the judge! actually, we have a retired judge that sometimes fills in that wears a royal blue robe. it's a sight.

well not speaking the language would make it tough. good for the eyes.
I am surprised the cm did not say anything. when we went on they yelled at a kid for standing. Guess it just depends on who u get.

Does your camera have an action setting.. that is what I set it for and it kind of helps with the blurriness.

Awesome update, you had me laughing out loud with the "she just loves her some Mickey" comment, that ladies dress was a hoot . The girraffe pics were incredible, I've never seen them that close either. What kind of looks were you getting taking those flat pics .
I agree about the screaming kid, that's awful. Tim would have said something so glad it wasn't us Can't wait for more, LOVING this!!!!
