I am so enjoying reading everyone's pre-trip and trip reports that I thought maybe I'd attempt one for our trip.

Who we are: Me, Joanne, single mom to Nicole. Disney was a huge part of my life growing up. We would drive down from Canada with the trailer and the dog and set up camp at Fort Wilderness. Loved it SO much, and have many fond memories of the marshmallow marsh and the campfire singalongs with Chip and Dale.

I became a CM in 1985, where I worked as cultural rep in Canada at Le Cellier. What a fabulous year! Since then I've been back several times.

Nicole, 7 years old and LOVES Disney. She comes by it honestly I guess. She's been twice so far - doesn't really remember the first time at 3 years old, but remembers every detail of our last trip. We stayed at POP, and went for race weekend in Jan '05. The kids races were awesome, and she still proudly shows off our medals.

This April, she started asking when we were going back to Disney. I'd tell her how lucky she is to have been twice, when many kids her age haven't been at all... Well, this continued on and on. One night she woke up and said, "mommy, I can't sleep cause I just can't stop thinking of Disney World." Well, the next day I checked on line and it just happened to be one of the first days of the free DDP.

I hesitated, thought about it, and then plugged in our dates again and POP and the All Stars were sold out. I called to see, and could only get POR, so I booked it for 6 days. Checked again on the Sat am, and there popped ASMo. Nicole was beside me, so of course was cheering for Movies cause it "looks so cool". I called and booked it for an extra day AND saved almost $300, so we're going Aug 26-Sept 2. Woohoo!!

After reading these boards, I really wished I'd kept this a secret and surprised her the morning of, however, knowing how she was driving me cuckoo bananas:banana:  there is no way I could have kept it to myself.

Me again! I have to say for some reason I'm more excited about this trip than any in the past! I think that it has alot to do with these boards! Thanks to you all for the informative posts, which were a huge help in making our ADRs - more on that later.

So my next obsession was booking flights. I tried everything - from Syracuse or Rochester, which are a 3-4 hour drive, but often worth it for the savings compared to flying from Canada. Not this time - we'd save about $100 total, not really worth the drive, parking hotel night etc. Saw some good flights from Ottawa, but once again, as I think about it, the price starts to go up and the times worsen, so I booked. Got us pretty good times - leave Ottawa at 7am and arrive at 3 pm for $430 Cdn each taxes incl. Am most excited to just hop on the ME, no waiting around for bags. I refuse to believe anything could possibly go wrong with that one (says the girl whose bags have been lost on the last 4/5 flights)!

So Nicole has now switched from asking every 2 minutes if we're can go to Disney to "Mommy, are we really going to Disney World?". Cute the first 100 times, but...

Ok, so it's a done deal, we're going - no turning back now that the flights are booked. Woohoo!!
:woohoo: On to the fun part - ADRs!!!

Did I mention a HUGE thank you to all DISers and your informative threads?? Most helpful and appreciated.

Here's what I've booked so far - any comments would be most appreciated!!

Sunday, Aug. 26 - Arrive at 3:09 pm, hope to check in by 4:30 and off to the MK for EMH.
8:15 - Crystal Palace (one of the places I've wanted to visit since I was a kid!!)

Monday, Aug. 27 - either sleep in, swim, lunch at hotel, then to MGM (EMH) OR head to MGM early and come back for a swim. NOTE - last trip we were there only 5 days, and one was the half marathon, so we were rushed and never really got to enjoy the hotel, so I'm trying not to be to overplan (except of course for ADRs). Any thoughts?
7:00 - Cape May buffet
Either hang out at the Beach Club (have never been) or go back to MGM for EMH.

Tuesday, Aug. 28 - Either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon during the day (been to BB, but loved it, so we can't decide).
5:10 - Whispering Canyon Cafe - another exciting first!
After dinner to Fort Wilderness for the singalong and movies!

Wednesday, Aug 29 - Off to AK (EMH). Lunch at the Flame Tree - loved it there last time!
7:30 - Raglan Road

Thursday, Aug 30 - Hmmm, water park? Hang at hotel? Theme park? Outlet shopping? Any recommendations?
7:55 - O'Hana - can't wait!
View Wishes from the Poly?

Friday, Aug. 31 - EPCOT! Woohoo! Nicole's first time! Can't wait for so many memories, and so many new adventures, including trying those yummy looking frozen cocktails in France!
1:40 - Le Cellier OR
6:40 - Chefs de France - Would love to eat at Le Cellier for old time's sake and to show DD, but couldn't get an ADR. Last time managed a lunch one, so will probably cancel Chefs. Any input??:confused3

Saturday, Sept 1 - TBD - Will probably return to whatever is Nicole's favourite park for this trip.
6:30 - Wolfgang Puck Cafe

That's where we're at right now. Again, any pointers, advice, comments would be so appreciated. I'm excited all over again writing this down!!

I understand your excitement. I love reading these boards for advice and to keep the dream alive! Our trip is in September as well with the free DDP. I was so disappointed that we didn't get the hotel we wanted. But it is what it is. (We are already talking "next trip")woo hoo! Anyway, we made our reservations a little too late we kept waiting for a real date to confirm because of my DH's work. Finally we settled on a date and the resort we wanted was gone as well as the fantastic price for plane tickets!:sad1: Oh well. I'm glad your Daughter is so happy to go. My boys (9) are so cool about it. :cool2: :cool2: .. it makes me a little sad :sad1:

Big Picture, I am so lucky to go. Enjoy the journey :)

Thanks JasmineRocks! From everything I've read CS is a great resort! Between the pools and the food court, I'm sure you'll all just love it! Have a great trip!

You should get an Epcot Passport for Nicole...where she gets it stamped in each country in the World Showcase. Those are so much fun!
