Day 6 continued: March 18, 2010
We left off getting off the train in Toontown and heading towards Tomorrowland to use our Space FPs. Of course, we used the quiet walkway to Space. As we were getting closer to Tomorrowland, we saw riders getting evacuated from the People Mover! As this one family were walking down the steps and out onto our path, they were greeted by a CM who gave them free FPs to something! They all cheered and thanked the CM. I was secretly jealous. Haha.
We walked up to Space and showed the CM our FPs. As we were walking through the line, we kept hearing people comment about how we were getting to walk right past them and why we were getting special privileges. I swear some people have no clue about FPs! How could you not know about them?!
As we made our way to the loading dock, we decided to jump over to the left side so we could see if anything was different about that track. I have to say, it was really bumpy still! Which is weird because before the refurb, we liked the left side more
now we like the right side more! But, maybe there really isnt much of a difference between the two sides, but it sure seems like it.
As we were exiting the ride and riding the ramp back up to Tomorrowland, we said our goodbyes to Space and said See you in July! We decided to get back on the train in Toontown and ride it back over to Frontierland. I know its probably faster just walking over, but we love the train so much. When the train pulled up, Fiancé begged me to go sit up front with him because he wanted to see the CMs and the engine and all that..so up front we went
We had the whole section to ourselves!:
I just love the lights on the train:
And heres one of my favorite parts about riding the train from the Toontown station
you can get a quick glimpse of the Contemporary to your left as you make your way closer to the Main Street station:
And BLT:
You cant tell, but today was really cold! We had our hoods up most of the ride! Haha
I dont remember being able to see Tomorrowland this well on the right side of the train..Did they cut down some trees or bushes?:
As we pulled into the Main Street station, we saw the crowds coming in. Wow! What a difference from earlier that morning! We could definitely tell that more and more people were arriving for their Spring Breaks.:
It was weird not seeing leaves on some of the trees. We are used to the summer weather!:
Of course, while we were sitting there waiting for people to board, I had to say hi to the Castle, haha:
After a few minutes, we heard the ALLLLLL ABBBOAAARRRD! and off we went. As we went by the Splash scene, I made sure to check out one of my other favorite Hidden Mickeys. Im sure most of you know what one Im talking about!
When we got off, we still had a little bit of time before we could use our BTMRR FPs..and I had just realized that I had a receipt in my purse from one of our purchases from another day that had a 20% off offer if you purchased something before noon from certain stores at each park. One of the stores at the MK was the Emporium, so we decided to walk over there because we still had 45 minutes or so until it was noon and we still needed to get our photo albums for the trips. Yes, you read that right
albums. We took so many pics this trip that we had to get two albums! Haha. Well in my defense, we took a ton of pics for two reasons: 1) to make the TR more interesting and 2) to show Mom, Dad, and Sis everything we did since they werent with. Are those fair reasons?
So after we used our 20% off on the albums, we had them sent to the package pickup place up by the train station. Since this was our last day, we obviously couldnt have them sent back to Pop. I really recommend the package pickup at the park though because it was great not to have to deal with the bags all day! After we filled the form out for that, we decided to head over to buy our photopass pics. We loved both pics, so we decided to buy them both! Haha. I will have to take a pic of them and post them on here so you guys can see them!
After we bought those, we had them sent over to package pickup as well. When we were done filling up that form, I had to say hi to Tonys and See you in July! Fiancé had to laugh at me again. Of course, I am so sentimental about things like that. I know that Tonys gets mixed reviews here on the DIS, but we have always loved it. I cant tell you exactly when the tradition started, but it is tradition for us to always eat there our last night of every trip. We always look forward to that meal, but its also bittersweet because that means its our last night at WDW. The food is always good and weve never had a problem with the service. Whenever I read about a bad experience someone had there, I just feel so bad because never have had that.
Okay
back to the trip. We headed back down Main Street and cut through Liberty Square to get to Frontierland. We walked by the tree with the 13 lanterns on our way through. I had known about them before, but we were reminded of them in my Hidden Secrets book. Its amazing the little details that Disney puts into things.
When we made our way through the BTMRR line, I was so excited to be riding again. I was quickly reminded of the GROSS experience we had in line back in June..for those of you who read that TR might remember it.

Someone ahead of us puked in line and we all had to walk around it to continue. It was horrible.
As the train pulled into the station, the CM saw our pins and directed us to get in the front row. Darn it. We wanted the very back! Oh well, it was nice of the CM to do that for us and we greatly appreciated it. As we were going up the incline, we could see the Liberty Belle going by and we waved to people riding that and they waved back to us. Its little things like that that make me enjoy WDW. Unless youre from the Midwest, Im guessing its not really normal to just randomly wave at someone as youre going/walking/driving by them. But at WDW, we do that with people all the time. Another example is when were on one of the Resort boats and pass another Resort boat, people usually wave from that boat and we wave back.
After our wildest ride in the wilderness, we decided it was time to start walking over to the Contemporary to hang around there a bit before our lunch ADR at The Wave.
~Up next:
Lunch, hanging out, and we turn into rebels at the Contemporary
