~Our March 'Just Engaged',freezing,and full of surprises trip~Updated 6/23 p.76

Where did you get the TT recipe? Is it in one of the WDW cookbooks?! If it is, then I have the recipe at home!

yep, it's in the one that's blue and white and his mickey on the front. i can't think of the name of it right now! it's downstairs in the kitchen. i got it at the disney store in NYC. if you don't know which one i'm talking about, let me know and i'll get the name of it for you. and if you don't have it, i'll give you the recipe!

Good Morning, I am all caught up!

I love the sunrise pictures...who knew Disney could be that peaceful!? They turned out great.

I have never tried Tonga Toast, but I always hear that it is very good...we aren't very big breakfast people, so that is probably why we have never tried it, Mickey waffles are great, though!

Ah, I just love the Poly--that will have to be our next resort of choice. :lovestruc

Cannot wait to read about your Epcot day!

Your update made me excited to stay at the Poly in May. :goodvibes And to try the TT at Kona. I never noticed the smell at the Poly but I swear they pump some kind of Disney crack in the air at MK because I can't get enough of it. :lmao:

HEY GIRL!! What a good update!! I love the pics as you make your way over to the Poly...talk about SERENITY!! We were often up that early and there's just such a majestic feeling of peace before the rest of WDW wakes up!! I LOVE it!!

I need to find a guy who really loves and gets Disney World too!! I can't imagine having a guy who doesn't get it...that would be depressing! That CM was kinda silly...is there any place better to celebrate an engagement?! :goodvibes

I want to send a coconut in the mail!! That's so awesome!! Around how much did that cost? That's the coolest thing I ever heard!!

Breakfast at Kona looks SOOOO good. I was torn (still am deep down) between dinner and breakfast there. I went with dinner, but of course, your post made me re-consider that!! Whats a girl to do?! (Oh and your post also made me realize how giddy but sad your post is going to make us...we're going to have to walk right past the MK gates to the monorail to get to Kona our VERY first night...I know we will be itchin' to get inside!)

Great update! I've never eaten at Kona but I want to soooo bad! Breakfast is my most favorite meal and I love to go out for breakfast.

I think the Tonga Toast would be too sweet for me (I also hate bananas:eek:) but I'm all about ordering the Big Kahuna Platter!

Love the early morning pics!!!! Everything looks so calm and relaxing!!

I'm glad you like the Tonga Toast!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I am also glad you ended up with a good waiter! Wait till you hear about the one we had there.:mad: :headache::headache: :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

It was so neat to see WDW before the day started getting busy!

Of course I had to try the TT! I'm having it again in July!

Uh oh, can't wait to hear about it!

What a lovely start to your morning! I think it's kinda funny you are always up before the alarm! You sound just like me- anxious to start the day, whatever it may hold!

Such pretty pix of the morning too! :cloud9: I can't wait for my breakie at Kona. But no Tonga for me. You can have all those icky bananas all to yourself. :lmao:

I think your DF has quite an eye for getting good shots. I like the one of you writing your postcards. A nice moment captured there.

WDW is the only place I'm really excited to get out of bed in the morning. :rotfl:

There is a ton of other good stuff on the menu. You won't be disappointed.

He is a good photographer! Wait until you see the shots from the rest of the day!

I love those early morning shots. Is it funny to say that I hear the quiet? I can put myself there and feel the freshness of the new day....Great, great pix.

I hope to get to spend more time at the Poly someday....ahhhh Tonga Toast....can you believe it's not my favorite? Me too. I shocked myself. Maybe I'll have to try it again.....

Haha, I completely get it. I absolutely love the morning pics too. I can honestly look at them and picture myself back to that exact moment.

Hey, that's okay if you don't like the TT! Like I just told Liesa, there are so many great things on the menu!

Oooh, tonga toast. We never got a chance to try it our last trip, so we are hoping we'll get it in this trip. All depends on how early our little gal wakes up. Although, I think I would be just as happy with your fiance's breakfast too.

Love the photo of you writing your postcards with the waterfall as the backdrop. So pretty!

You can't go wrong with anything you order there!

Haha, I like it too. The lobby is just so pretty. :cloud9:

Delectable update!! I just wanted to jump into the picture and have some of that delish tonga toast, that stuff is to
die for!!! YUM!!! Poly is so pretty...wish I was there right
now!!:goodvibes

It is, isn't it?! :goodvibes

What a great start to your Disney day! I love all of the early morning pictures. The sunrise at Disney is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! Seeing pics of the Poly make me so excited for our breakfast at 'Ohana!!!! I even have special paper and stickers set aside for scrapbooking my Poly pics!:rotfl:

I want to see the paper and stickers!

Glad you liked the update.

I know exactly what you're talking about! I have it then! :woohoo: Now I'll have to attempt to make it sometime. HA

Thanks. I can't get enough of those pictures.

I hope you'll get to try the Tonga Toast sometime. It's so big you could even share it!

The Poly is great!

I'm glad it helped with your excitement! There are a few more Poly shots coming in the next update!

:rotfl2: Disney crack

Hey girl! I'm glad you liked the monorail shots!

Haha, I guess not everyone our age is into WDW though. Those people are nuts. :rotfl2:

I can't remember how much it cost, but it wasn't bad if we bought it! lol

At least you'll get a glimpse of the Castle! You'll be looking at it instead of looking at it in a picture.

Great update! I've never eaten at Kona but I want to soooo bad! Breakfast is my most favorite meal and I love to go out for breakfast.

Thanks! If breakfast is your favorite meal, you MUST eat at Kona!!

Great updates, as usual! The sunrise pictures were so lovely. Hmmmm, I didn't know you could mail a coconut, either. Wonder what Fiance's parents thought about getting a coconut in the mail??? :rotfl:

wow you guys got some really great, peaceful looking shots of the place in the early morning. isn't that restaurant in the poly also the place where they serve the macadamia nut pancakes?

those are so delicious! i can't wait to try the tonga toast sometime.

can't wait to hear about the rest of the day!

Wow, you have just inspired me to get up early for a breakfast. That's awesome. Did you try to reasure the other people on the bus that the monorails were infact running? Or just let them be plesantly surprised? that would suck hearing that from a cm cause you would think they know what they are talking about. Keep them coming only two weeks left for me!

We were about half an hour early, so we decided to look around the gift shops. We started with the one on the 2nd floor. I knew I still needed to find some postcards, so Fiancé helped me picked one out for Brookie (belongs to BrooklynnsMommy and MeMom) and Kristen. For Brookie, I got a Tinkerbell and her friends

I didn't know you bought and sent it from the Poly. You know how I love that place. I am so glad he got a picture of you writing the cards in that beautiful spot.. :)

The water and palm trees in front of Magic Kingsom are so peaceful and pretty.

Thanks for the update - I also love MK first thing in the morning, so peaceful and quiet!

Kona is where you can get macadamia nut pancakes, you are right!

It really is worth getting up early for!

While we were walking, I tried to say loudly, "Look--the monorails ARE running!"

Macadamia nut pancakes??? Now Kona for breakfast is DEFINITELY on my list! Maybe for the July trip, we don't have any breakfasts reserved yet...

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm tonga toast! I had to go there twice on my last trip, did get it at Capt Cooks, a little more affordable. But oh so good.

Your morning pictures are so beautiful, don't you just love an empty monorail platform too? Thanks for sacrificing your sleep to take those pictures for us.:rotfl:

Capt. Cooks has it too?! That's awesome.

I do love an empty monorail line! :) And you're welcome! It was worth it!

I have to say that I am so proud of you for getting there so early!

My kids still get up at the crack of dawn at Disney. Not so much so on a school day. . .

I had to confess, I stole your ideas today for drinks at the Tambu. I was making up my spreadsheet (again), and am listing out drink options for each day, just to be prepared, you know... and the Mai Tai and the Sunrise something or rather, made it on the list!!! Congrats!! You're ideas have been immortalized for months on the official 7's Planning Journal. :woohoo:
