I love how they do the refurbs... they know how to keep them from looking too bad. Did you get any close up pics of the castle refurb?

The first trip to the first park always has a special feel to it, and when you look back on it in pictures, you can capture that feeling again. At least, I can.
The stretching room is not my favorite part of Haunted Mansion, for obvious reasons. I'm glad that it's only for a short time, and I'm always happy when the doors open. The stampede is a little much sometimes, so hanging back was probably a good thing to do.
I love a blue Florida sky making a beautiful background for the castle.
It will be interesting to watch all the Fantasyland renovations as these next couple of years go by.
The Splash Mountain area is one of my favorite places in the park. It's so shady, the theme is cute, and I like the gift shop with the roots on the ceiling and the big rockers by the fireplace.

Woo hoo, you made it to the MK! That's so cool how you always go see your brick. I wish they still had those or that we had gotten one when they did.
Those waits don't look too bad...it could have been a lot worse!
ahhhhhh.....the first day at MK!!!! so exciting for any trip. when we go back with the kiddo, MK will definitely have to be our first park, even if it's only for like an hour. i just want MK to be the first disney park my kid lays his/her eyes on, even if they won't remember it!
i can't wait to see what you guys think of space mountain. i so want to ride it soon but that ain't happening for awhile!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's 'No Dancing'. We're used to June or July, but maybe that's just us. We never really had to wait a long time.Girl, that was a big update!!

Those refurb signs are great. That quote about times changing so fast is excellent. I'm going to write it down. Your FP times worked out perfectly. And you've still had tons of time to enjoy other rides! I forget that you all usually go in the summer--those lines look SOO long to me! But I'm sure it was a pleasant surprise since yall usually have much longer ones than that. 
And I'm anxious to hear about your Space Mtn ride!! Michael is still upset it was closed when we went. Again, you both look great in your castle pics! Can't wait to read more!

I miss the "paging Mr. Morrow" on the TTA, too. I hope you guys enjoyed Space Mountain. I did it in February for the first time since the refurb and LOVED it! My sister was unsure at first because she had never been on it before the refurb, but she also loved it.
