~Our March 'Just Engaged',freezing,and full of surprises trip~Updated 6/23 p.76

What a great start to your trip. :goodvibes When I saw the return times on the FPs I thought, "What time did they get there?!" :scared1: and then remembered oh yeah, they were driving in the morning. :rotfl:

Fun update.... very healthy of you to grab a fruit bowl-- we usually grab something sweet such as ice cream etc, etc,

popcorn::

Haha, thanks girl. Yeah we love fruit!

LOL Yeah, we didn't get to the MK until around 3 pm or so.

Hey girl! I read this quick after the gym yesterday but never texted you to let you know!

All your pictures are so great, you did a really good job :thumbsup2 Seeing them just puts me in a good mood even after a crappy work day!

Just so you know, you're going to hafta help me choose fruit over garbage when we're there in July...I don't think I've ever done that in WDW :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear what you thought of Space! I really can't compare the before and after because I hadn't ridden it since 2005 before we did in December. You're going to have to compare for us ;)

It is so much different to do Disney with only 2 people, isn't it?? The day just flows differently, but it does take a while to get used to!

I can't believe they changed all the audio on the TTA. :sad2: Of course, I will still continue to ride it, but I get attached to things like that! :rotfl:

Looks like you guys are having a great time, and the weather looks beautiful! Cannot wait for more!

Yeah, the crowds were nothing compared to summer for us!

When you are used to having to go during crowded times (because of a teacher's schedule or for whatever reason), you just sort of consider it the norm and learn to work around it.

Delicious fruit bowls are a naturally sweet part of every Disney trip! :goodvibes Brooklynn and I like to walk down to the food court early and get some cantaloupe and grapes to start a Disney day.

Hiiii! :)

Aw, I'm glad I could make your crappy day a better one.

 I will help you with the whole food thing! Except...I might slack off too! :rotfl:

It really is different with 2 people! It was so weird for us!

Oh I completely agree, I was so attached to the old audio. :)

It definitely was nice going in March!

We love our fruit! :)

Hey tinkgurl... just joining in. I am loving the report and I ADORE your Disney bag!!!

Can't wait for more~ popcorn::

I'm so excited to read about your trip. I haven't been there in a couple years so I'm totally "homesick". I can't wait to go there with my Fiance (he's never been there before!), but sadly, we probably won't make it until our honeymoon, and we aren't even getting married for a couple years!

Anyway, can't wait to read more. You both look so happy!

I am joining in... I am new to the TR boards and I will be reading all the TR I can so that next time I go home I can write all about it...so I have finally caught up and look forward to reading more....

Oh and congrats on graduation and your engagement

Hi! I just found your trip report. First off, congrats on your engagement! You are going to LOVE being married.

I noticed that we were at the world the same exact time as you....we also stayed at POP. I probably must have run into you....you actually look kinda familiar.

Driving from Texas, we lost 2 hours. (argh!)

Anyway, great trip report. I don't have the patience to post one myself. Maybe one day.

Another great update. Dont you love the short time waits?

I love short waits! :thumbsup2

Congratulations on your engagement. Can't wait to read more. :)

Welcome! It really is fun writing TR's. I just take a little notepad and pen with me in my purse everywhere we go at WDW and when we have a break, I write down what we've done up to that point to keep up. I'll write in line...while we're waiting for our food..on the bus..etc.

Thanks! :)

You two look so happy in your pictures! I was a beautiful day!
Great start!

Thanks! It was a beautiful day!

Wow, I was behind 11 pages!! :confused3 Can't believe it!!

AHHHHH your tr has got me so excited!! How did you like Pop?? I'm pretty sure we were in the same building, but I was further down the hall! I had the Rubiks cube on my stairs too, but our room was directly next to them!

Did you ever find out the price of your purse there? I WANT ONE SO BAD!!!!! I'm in love with it. Is it your everywhere purse or just a Disney world bag or what?

I was just telling Stephanie about George last night! She was like "I wonder if they can hear you say it and then they stop the ride for fun...We're going to WHISPER it and see if it happens!" :rotfl2: So I'll let you know. If it breaks down this time for me again, I'm definitely a believer because it sure did last time for me!!

Can't wait for more!!! Love your updates as usual!!

We loved Pop!! That's so funny, your room was down the hall!

My exact purse was $190 there! It is just my WDW bag. It was the perfect size there.

Let me know if George works!

Day 2 continued: March 14, 2010

We left off heading to Pinochio’s for supper. We were nervous walking there because when we tried to eat there in June, it was packed! I mean, there were people sitting along the walls with their trays on their laps, eating! But, we were lucky and had no problems. There were plenty of tables open. We decided that since it was nice, we wanted to eat outside. When we were ordering, the CM made a big deal about our ‘Just Engaged’ buttons. It was fun getting such nice attention.

So after we ordered, Fiancé got our tray for us while I sat down at our table. We both had the Mediterranean salad, which was made of mixed greens, chicken, and mozzarella cheese. For dessert, I had the cheesecake and Fiancé had the yogurt. We also noticed a little surprise when Fiancé sat down the tray at our table. We were given a free thing of fries! All because of our little buttons! How neat. :)

It was still hard for us to believe that we were there!

After we were done eating, we headed over to PhilharMagic since we were right there. The wait time only said 10 minutes, which isn’t that what it always says?

The only thing I dislike about this attraction is how they pack everyone in like sardines in the waiting area until the doors open. And when the doors open, everyone is pushing and shoving to get in! Well, we tried our best to stay together. It was definitely a lot easier to do with only 2 people instead of 5! By the time we made it into the theater, the back rows were almost all the way full! The CM was telling people to start coming to the front. Fiancé and I were the only ones who listened. There were at least 3 or 4 rows almost all the way empty! We went into the 3rd row and had no one follow us! So our row only had us and one or two other families in it! We were afraid that being too close would ruin the show, but it only made the show better! We were surprised and loved it!

After the show was over and we had returned our “opera” glasses, we decided to walk through the Castle. Now that we have been to CRT, I love the windows:

062.jpg

Whenever we walk through the Castle, I always have to run my hands along the mosaics:

064.jpg

Once we make it to the front of the Castle, we always stop and look down Main Street. Then, we turn around and look up at where Tink comes out.

065.jpg

I read in my “hidden secrets” book on WDW that I got from Sis for my birthday something about the Disney coat of arms or something being on the front and back of the Castle. Found it!:

066.jpg

After we were done with the Castle, it was time to head to Adventureland:

067.jpg

We looked in the Adventureland shop that has all the Roxy and Billabong stuff. We didn’t see anything that we really liked, so we were in and out of there quickly. We decided to go do the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse:

068.jpg

This always has great views:

After we made it back down to Adventureland, we headed to the Main Street shops. We saw a lady taking photopass pics not too far from the Crystal Palace, so we decided to take one. It was a different angle than our traditional pics down Main Street. (You’ll have to wait to see what we buy!)

In the shops, I found a shirt that I fell in love with. It would be perfect for our July trip when we eat at the Luau or Ohana. I decided to wait to buy it in case I found another shirt I liked better. I also found the Dooney and Bourke purses and texted Heather the price of my exact purse…$190! We also found some photo albums that we liked, so we kept those in mind as well.

We were done with the shops quickly. It was packed in there! We thought it was worse than when we are there in the summer even!

We walked back through the Castle and got in line for Snow White, which said it was a 20 minute wait, but only ended up being a 10 minute wait! This is where I got sad that Mom, Dad, and Sis weren’t with us. During the scene where the dwarfs are playing music and everyone is dancing, Dad always claps along with them. I had to text them when we got off the ride to tell them that I missed them!

After SW, we realized that we could get fast passes again, so we headed to Peter Pan and got FP’s for 11:30 pm – 12:30 am. We were getting tired, so we decided that PP would be our last ride of the night.

With FP’s in hand, we went across the way to IASW, which was a 25 minute wait. While in line, there was a mom, dad, and little girl in front of us. The girl kept waving at us and we’d wave back. Then, she turned around and just wrapped herself around Fiancé’s leg! We were laughing and talking to her, but her mom kept saying “Honey! That’s not your dad!” She knew he wasn’t her dad, but she didn’t care. We told her we didn’t mind and that we had a 3 year old cousin back home. She was giggling and laughing the whole time. Then, she started playing peek-a-boo and would lean in-between Fiancé’s legs. It was hilarious. They ended up sitting in the row in front of us on the ride. She would peek over at us to make sure we were still there and would giggle. So cute.

~Continued from previous~

When we got off there, we decided to head to Frontierland and get a spot for Spectro. I really wanted to watch this because I knew it won’t be there in July! On the walkway that runs along Frontierland and the water that surrounds Tom Sawyer Island:

We found a spot right in front of the Country Bears:

We only had to wait 15 minutes or so for it to start!:

Spectro was good as usual! When that was over, we headed over to BTMRR to use our FP’s that we had gotten earlier. It was a blast, as usual! By the time we got off there, Wishes was going so we watched that as we walked to Tomorrowland to use our Space FP’s. We were so excited to finally be riding Space again. Since we were in the FP line, we couldn’t play any of the games, but they did look neat. We were led to the right loading side. They have enclosed that area, which looked so much better! They also added little gates that you stand behind before getting onto the ride. We also thought there was a little more leg room than usual, but maybe that was just us.

After you go through the first tunnel and before you go up the incline, they take your picture. We thought that was such a weird place to take a ride pic! Once we started the actual ride, it was amazing how much darker it is now that they enclosed the waiting area! We could hardly see anything! We loved it.

When we got off the ride, we were able to look at our pic. There was nothing exciting going on, so the pic was boring. We made our way onto the ramp to head back to Tomorrowland. The scenes on there were changed as well. They were neat!

Overall, the new changes get two :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 from us!

Once we were back in Tomorrowland, we headed to the Bakery to get some chocolate chip cookies. We sat at a table in there to eat them, which is something that we’ve never done before. We usually take our food and sit out on Main Street. We really liked it and decided to eat breakfast there on Thursday.

By the time we were done eating those, we could go use our PP FP’s. It was amazing to see the stand-by line was still crazy long. FP’s are the only way we’ll ride PP! In my “hidden secrets” book, it mentions children’s blocks in Wendy’s room are set up to spell something, but we couldn’t find them. Anyone know what I’m talking about? :confused3

This ride was still cute. I can’t wait to take the little guy on it. :goodvibes

After PP, we decided to head back to the room. After a long drive and an exciting arrival day, we were pooped! We headed to our bus stop to find that we’re the last one! Luckily, we didn’t have to wait too long for a bus and we were soon back in the room. And here’s where another surprise comes in…

The light was blinking on our room phone, saying that we had a message. We listened to it and it said that we had a package waiting for us at the front desk! We could either come pick it up or have it delivered. We decided to pick it up. Walking there, we were so confused on what it could be or who could have sent it. When we got it, we read the card and saw it was from Mom, Dad, and Sis!

081.jpg

It was a champagne/chocolates basket for our engagement! There were also 2 champagne glasses in there with Mickey heads all over them. Fiancé decided that they would be perfect for our Bride and Groom glasses at our wedding reception! There was also a signed picture from Mickey and Minnie congratulating us! We were so surprised!

I knew Sis was still up so I texted her, but I had to wait until morning to talk to Mom and Dad! We tried some of the chocolate before heading to bed around 1:30 am. It was so hard to go to sleep…all I could think about was how we were finally back in my favorite place in the world..and Mom, Dad, and Sis had given us an amazing gift! :cloud9:

Up next:

DHS day…and more surprises!
