My "Three things to save any family trip from certain disaster"

Lots of Alcohol (beer, wine, or even mother's little helpers-whatever floats your fancy)

AN OUT~I've been on many trips with close family and have learned to tell when it's time to disappear. I've learned from Delswife how to take "three steps to the left."

Thanks tiggerwannabe...I'm going to print those out, laminate 'em and put 'em in my wallet!!! Words to live by! The whole 3 steps to the left is actually in the ending...that was one of my favorite things from Delswife's TR...

I think I'm going to continue to ask everyone from NJ if they're so-and-so...I just have to know!!!

Oh great installment!!!

We just sold our DVC....it's almost like when one dies, one is born again, haha

I'm jealous...if you ever need a babysitter...I'm a combo...nanny PLUS tourguide!!

Thanks Mandy...I may take you up on that babysitting action! You'll understand if I have an issue with connecting rooms though, right??

You just reminded me of something I left out of my TR...In the beginning of our trip, I asked Cruella if they could babysit DS for a night so DH and I could go out and she goes "Don't get me wrong, I love him to pieces, but I'm on vacation"...

Nice, huh?

I'm first.. Thats what I get for staying up late! I'm sad to see this trip report end so soon, but I'm glad for your sanity that your trip is behind you. Now how are you doing Thanksgiving and Christmas? Are you going to be one big happy family? I have a large family so I know how interesting it is to get together when theres tension between them... Nothing makes a holiday merrier...

I'm glad you survived and that your now a DVC member and can go back when you want too. That's great! Thank you for this trip report!

Bummer, I was up till 1am, but I had turned my pc off....imagine that? So I missed your grand finale.

I'm glad for you that the TR is over....so you can let go of those horrible memories of the "scenes" at WDW. I'm sad for us, however, because now we have to wait till January possibly for your next trip reports. But instead of tears of sadness....that TR will be filled with tears of joy.

What I don't get is how someone like your DSIL and my MIL can be so unhappy all the time. It takes so much more work to be that miserable.

Oh my gosh - I must've just missed you...I just shut down right around the time you posted...I couldn't even see straight anymore...had to go to bed!

Now how are you doing Thanksgiving and Christmas? Are you going to be one big happy family? I have a large family so I know how interesting it is to get together when theres tension between them... Nothing makes a holiday merrier...

Ooooohhhh Noooooooo - the holidays?!?!?!? I hadn't thought about the holidays!! I think we're going to lay low for the holidays actually...with our trip falling smack in the middle of Thanksgiving and Christmas, we've got a good excuse not to go anywhere...

Plus we haven't been invited anywhere either come to think of it...

I don't get it either Michele...some people you just can't reach I guess!!

Almost glad to be done with this TR though...I can go back to lurking on everyone else's!! And seeing someone ELSE's dirty laundry for a change!!!

I love NC, by the way!! This weather down here is much more suited to me than 10 months of COLD WEATHER!!! And I'm within (hopefully) about a 10 hour drive to my happy place!!!

Thanks for sharing your TR and making the rest of us with crazy relatives and not always perfect days feel normal!

My advice on the holidays -- spend it with people you choose to, not people you are obligated to. Going to WDW between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a perfect reason not to travel for either. Besides, it is amazing how the expressway goes both north & south at the same time!

Enjoy your time with your DH and beautiful son and ride Soarin' 'til you can't take it anymore!!!!

Thanks MomPlanner22! Yes, the expressway sure does North and South, but apparently no one else knows that! I think I'll keep that little gem to myself - it should actually make for a nice, quiet, peaceful holiday season!!
