Our Magical WDW Adventure -24 Days of Food and Fun-Updated 3/8 -Come Join Us

pixiedust: some pixie dust for the pictures to download smoothly and swiftly
pixiedust: that the :cat::cat: and :dog2: get along and poor ol' tigger is fine with it all
more pixiedust: that the weather changes for you. :beach:
Thanks, I have been trying to download some more all day but it keeps uploading 75% and then stopping so I have to cancel and start again :scared1:. But do not fear I will get them uploaded whatever it takes ::yes::

So far so good with the cats and dog. Tigger freaked out majorly at first and hisses at her if she comes too close. Poor thing she is such a big softy, she is more scared off him than he is. Scamp however quite likes her and keeps walking up to her. They keep touching noses and kissing each other its so cute :lovestruc

ooohhh I hope that those picture fairies work their magic soon or you might feel like this guy:badpc: and then we'll all feel like this :(

He he lets hope so, I have started to upload them 1 at a time now :furious:

Welcome home!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!!!!:goodvibes

Glad to hear at least one of the cats and the dog are doing ok together. Hopefully the photo bucket is cooperating for you today. :thumbsup2

It has been going a little better with photobucket but I am only able to do 3 at a time at the moment which, as you can imagine, is taking forever :(

You don't have enough pictures up to give us at least the first day? Pleeeeeeeeeeease? :rolleyes1

Sorry guys, don't mean to keep you waiting :(. The good news is I've uploaded lots of photos now, I'm up to day 12 so about half way through. I've got 3 days off (including today) so hopefully will be able to finally spend some time getting them uploaded and sorting out my trippie. Saying that I have still got things to sort from the holiday, we brought so much stuff and its now finding the room to put it. And tomorrow Nick and I are going out for a friends birthday which should be fun, I might even get some photos for you ;)

Since I haven't finished uploading my photo's for my trip report yet and I don't want to keep you all waiting too long for another update I thought I would post something to keep you all going ::yes::. Well some of my most loyal followers may remember me posting about our MUST DO'S / MUST TRY'S and our DISNEYQUESTS back before we went (pg. 4). So lets see if we managed to get everything we wanted to do/try done/eaten :lmao:

TOP RIDES
These are our top 3 rides for each park which under no circumstances could be missed – even for an earthquake. We are really lucky as Nick and I generally like all the same things, which makes life so much easier , it also meant we could get our favorite rides done first and redone again and again. OUR DISNEY QUESTS
Now for those who don't know about our 'QUESTS' they came about when Nick and I had been discussing all our favorite things and things I had found out from all the books and forums. From this we came up with some things or 'Quests' as we have decided to call them to do whislt in the parks to make things a bit more exciting (if it could be anymore). Here was the Quests we came up with and then where you will find out about them in my trip report:

Drink Around the World at Epcot - now Nick and I aren't particularly big drinkers, we like the odd glass of wine, and on holidays Nick enjoys his beer and I love my cocktails (of which I hope there will be money on this trip), however, we heard about this little 'challenge' you may call it and it sounded great. Now we both love traveling, experiencing different cultures and their food and drink, and we both love the World Showcase, seeing all the different architechture, all the different shops and restaurants so this sounded perfect. I have already tried a margarita from Mexico (I love frozen margaritas, especially flavored ones) and can't wait to try lots of other yummy drinks :drinking1. Nick isn't sure if he is going to do it as he normally drives but he has the option to leave the car at the Yacht Club and we will get the bus or a cab home and then collect the car after visited MGM the next day. If he does it we will mostly share one drink at each country as we might not make it to Le Cellier. I'm not entirely sure yet what the best options are, last time I only had the margarita. I have been trying to research what each country does but haven't got that far, heres my idea's so far:

Mexico: Fiesta margarita - what else?
Norway: ??
China: Plum Wine (me), Tsing Tao (Nick)
Germany: German White Wine sampler
Italy: Italian Margarita
USA: ??
Japan: Plum Wine
Morocco: Tangerine Daiquiri
France: ??
UK: Shandy
Canada: Blue Glow-tini (at Le Cellier)

So any idea's what to have in the other countries, what are the best drinks??
So did we complete this quest? what drinks did we have? and were we still standing by the time we got to Canada :confused3. To find out it will be on Day 21 of my trip report

Our Second Quest is the Philharmagic Quest. Nick and I both love Philharmagic and have agreed we will going on it several times. Baring that in mind we decided that we would make it so we could only buy anything Donald related when we saw the show. We may make it Philharmagic themed merchandise instead, depending whether they have enough different things.
Of course we went on Philharmagic, nothing could stop us from going on that... but just how many times did we see it... or how many Philharmagic themed things did we buy :confused3 - you will have to wait till the end of the report to find out ::yes::

Our third quest is more of a tradition (something you will see I am quite big on). The first time I went with Mum, Dad and Sophie in January 2005 we ate at the San Angel Inn in the WS and I brought a Mexico shot glass and Mexican themed Donald. So I decided then every time we went to WDW we would eat in a different WS restaurant (and only 1 a trip) and I would get the co-ordinated shot glass and plush (this means we have to start going more frequently so I can get all 11 :thumbsup2 . So my mission is to get a Canadian shot glass and plush.
Did we manage to get the Canadian shot glass and plush - find out on Day 21 of my trip report

And finally these were the questions we asked....

Will we ride all our top rides?

Who will win Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin?

Will we try all our 'Must try' snacks and what will we think of them?

Will we complete Drink Around the World at Epcot? And will we both still be standing? :rotfl:

How much Donald merchandise will we end up with?

Will Nick ride the 'dreaded' Sheikra?

Will we have enough room in our suitcases to bring back everything we buy?

How many shot glasses will I return with?

Will we finish the legendary 'Kitchen Sink'?

Will this be the most Magical WDW Adventure EVER?

.... You will have to wait till the end of my trip report for the answers :goodvibes

The day before the day before (and even the day before that)

Well our holiday had officially started on the Friday night after we finished our last shift at work for the next month. It felt so good driving home, it was early evening and the sun was still shining, the sky was so blue and clear and we saw lots of planes taking off as we drove past Stansted airport, it was so exciting :spin:. And it felt so good to be free from work, and of course knowing that in a few short days we would finally be off on holiday.

The Saturday was our final day to get everything packed and ready. In the morning I went and had a manicure and my hair done at a really nice salon in the town where I work. It was another gorgeous day and as I drove home with my music playing it really felt like all our hard work over the last few months had paid off, especially seeing all the planes taking off overhead again. When I got home we got all the stuff we wanted to take and suitcases out and took it all down to the lounge to pack and put Horton Hears A Who on (which of course reminded us of IOA). As I brought something new I had been putting it in a case ready and since most of the clothes I was taking were new I thought it shouldn’t take that long to pack, should it? ... Wrong :worried: . Because I had so many new things it took forever to take all the stupid labels out. And then I had to try to slim-line my packing as I knew I wouldn’t need everything I had packed and we wanted all the room we could to bring things home (as I knew there would be a lot). I managed to succeed in slim-lining my stuff and it all fitted nicely in one case, although we had split it in to two (we were taking 3 cases over as we knew we would need at least one more and planned to buy one more if we saw one/needed it).
So eventually we were all packed, including our hand luggage and a few things for tomorrow night at Gatwick. That was the hardest thing we would have to do between now and the 21st done, great :thumbsup2 . We then both double checked through all the tickets and documents, plans, itineraries etc to check we had everything we which was pretty painless but took a while. Once that was done it was finally time to relax. We went out and got an Indian takeaway for tea and went home to eat it with a nice bottle of wine. Then it was time for our final sleep in our own bed for the next 24 nights.
