Our Magical WDW Adventure ~ 23 Days of Fun, Food, Cocktails... London Trip 2/8

The degree was both theory and practical, probably slightly more theory though. For practical it was mainly contemporary, which we did all 3 years, the the 2nd year we did jazz too and in the first year we did jazz and ballet. We did seminars and workshops on other styles like Latin, different contemporary techniques and things too.

Whoa, how cool!

Type of holiday ~ Kenyan Safari

Since Sophie was born practically she has loved animals. Now I don't mean just a little bit like most children do, I mean she spends hours reading about animals, looking up pictures and facts about them on the internet. Her favorite programmes are things like Wild at Heart (which she watches every single day before and after school), Blue Planet, Planet Earth, The Natural World and Deep Blue, her idols are David Attenborough and Rosie Trevanion (Wild at Heart), her bedroom isn't decorated in pink and flowers but animal prints and pictures and although she loves dressing up as Alice and Belle, she loves dressing up as a safari guide or tiger more. Oh and she spent most of her childhood up till now pretending to be various sorts of animals, and her imitations are very lifelike. Now it has been her dream since she was old enough to understand, to go on a safari holiday to Kenya. It is also something I have always wanted to do, being a big animal lover (but no way near to her extent), and luckily Nick is the same. We have thought about it a few times, but have never got around to booking it. However, thinking about holidays lately and the places we most want to go it has come up between Nick and I again. Since we have kind of planned to go to Canada for christmas in 2010, that rules out the next few years. So that got me thinking. Sophie wants to be either a Whale trainer or, more realistically a Marine Biologist, both of which are going to take a lot of hard work over the next few years. She is a very hard worker at school, and although she sometimes struggles, she pushes herself to get better grades. So I thought it would be a great incentive and reward to take her there after her GCSE's. This way it gives us all enough time to research everything and save up to make it another trip of a lifetime

Wow, Kenya looks AMAZING! It's always been a dream of mine to go to Africa so I can't wait to hear all about it!

Oh wow! That looks beautiful! And Sophie just continues to amaze me. She is a beautiful girl and what a passion she has for animals - I know she will see her dreams come true!

It does doesn't it. They also have some great beaches nearby so we could do a 2-center, safari and beach. I hope you get to go too :goodvibes

Hopefully they will, and if I have anything to do with it they will. I just asked her the other day what she wanted to be, as most children I know change their mind every few weeks. However, she has always wanted to do something with animals and still said a Whale Trainer (which is now been 4 years) or Marine Biologist. She also would love to be a safari guide in Kenya, but I am not so sure about that.

Where will we be going tomorrow for Destination Number Four... I will give you a little clue

I'm taking another stab at guessing and saying it is Brazil.

Seriously, you just find the BEST pictures of places. I think if you posted awesome pictures of Antarctica, I would want to go there!!! Sounds like you are going to be planning trips forever!!! I hope you get to go on all of them!

Type of holiday ~ Brazilian Beach Holiday with lots of exploring

Ok I haven't got much reasoning for the choice other than I love the look of the place and have done for years. Not only are there some stunning beaches, which look perfect to relax on with a nice refreshing cocktail (Caipirinha anyone :confused3), but there is so much to see and do and such a rich culture to experience. Oh and don't get me started on the churrasco

Thanks, me too :thumbsup2

Ooo I want that book. They probably are in there, as they all look so beautiful. I tend to like more 'different' places than the regular tourist spots, places with lots of culture and things to see and do, and having stunning beaches helps too :goodvibes
