Our Magical WDW Adventure ~ 23 Days of Fun, Food, Cocktails... London Trip 2/8

The trees are so gorgeous in Thailand! I have over 200 Palm Trees in my yard. I LOVE them! I could spend days just looking at Palms in the jungle...:lmao:

I believe that Whistler is a future Winter Olymic location. How cool would that be to go during the Olympics!

Yes it is, they are in 2010 too but from what I can see they are around the beginning of the year. I hope with them being the same year that it means it will be a good time to go, then again they might make it a whole lot more expensive.

200, wow thats a lot. And funny compared to my Mum's garden, she has one. Then again were not really in the right climate to grow palm trees over here, she has had hers for about 6-7 years and it is still tiny. They make everything feel so much more tropical though don't they?

Wow! I have always wanted to go to Whistler. I haven't been skiing in 5 years but used to take a big mountainous trip every year practically. DH and I are actually going skiing this weekend...to a tiny place about 3 hours west of Chicago...doesn't really compare to the Rockies! I dislocated my knee in high school which has made it quite interesting to ski on even after almost 10 years. So I can only do it for a few days before it goes numb. :guilty:

I really hope that you get to go out there next year. That should be so much fun!

Ooooo - that looks so pretty! Too bad I'm petrified to even try skiing and since I hate ice and my knees would hate me, ice skating is out too. I wouldn't mind sitting beside a fire, sipping a mocha, and reading a good book with that as my backdrop, however! I've been to Niagara Falls and Montreal. I would love to go back Montreal as I only spent 1 day there and would love to see more of the city.

You're probably right about the expense, but I hope not for your sake.

Thanks, me too :)

Thanks, I hope we do too. Ooo I hope you have a great time this weekend, sounds like you are going to have lots of fun. Where exactly are you going? I have never been skiing,.and my Dad is the clumsiest, most accident prone person ever, so it is going to be very interesting when we go. Sorry to hear about your knee, I am sure you will still be a million times better than I ever will.

It looks beautiful doesn't it? And sitting by the fire with a drink sounds lovely. Did you like it at Niagara Fall's, I would love to go there one day?

Niagara Falls is beautiful, especially at night. They have all different colored lights that go on the falls and stuff. It's really beautiful and you can take the Maid of the Mist boat and get pretty close to the falls down there.

Oh I forgot to add this last night so just pretend I did ok ....

Where we will be going tomorrow for Destination Number Two... I will give you a little clue

Yes I definitely want to go there when the Maid of the Mist is running. I am not sure now when that is? But I have wanted to go on it for years, probably since I saw Jim Carey on it in Liar Liar

I'm pretty sure it runs all the time...if not I'm assuming during the winter months it would not being running but I know for a fact it runs through the summer. I think the Jim Carey movie where hes on Maid of the Mist is Bruce Almighty lol:thumbsup2

p.s. Barack Obama is the new president of the United States! :goodvibes

From what I can see it opens April to October, just to weather and ice conditions. Obviously this is the time we have planned to come to Canada. What it does mean though is we will definitely have to go again ;). And yes, I think it may be Bruce Almighty, opps

I am watching the inauguration now (not personally obviously). I am such a sap, I am not even American and its making me cry. I only wish I could be as patriotic about my country and have as much love for it as I do for America.

Niagara Falls is very nice; beautiful at night. We were there Labor Day weekend and Maid in the Mist was running. I will dig out pics to show you!

Hmmmm... taking a guess ... Tahitit? Bora Bora? (Those are on my Top Destinations to travel anyway!)

Type of holiday ~ Relaxing on the beach and exploring Mexican ruins

Ever since Nick and I started thinking about where we wanted to go on our future holidays, and made our very first theoretical list, Mexico has always be somewhere we both really wanted to go. After we got back from Cuba we really wanted to go on another all-inclusive holiday again as we loved it so much. Plus we wanted to do another beach holiday, but somewhere there was interesting scenery and culture too. I found the most amazing resort that we both fell in love with, The Moon Palace Resort in Cancun. We love the look of the huge pool, the jacuzzi bath rooms, all the different restaurants and facilities, its perfect. So we were set on Mexico as our next beach destination, and many times it has nearly been our next holiday (Disney has a lot to answer too), and we have even decided our resort. Again we nearly went this year, but then Nick brought up the subject of Disney World and we couldn't resist. But some time very soon we are determined to get there

Wow Mexico looks gorgeous. My parents went with another couple to Cancun a few years back and enjoyed it.

Oh I just thought of this!.......And if you want to hit both Mexico and WDW, just spend a ton of time at Mexico in Epcot! :rotfl: :rotfl: Those margaritas are calling my name right now!

I do love visiting Mexico in Epcot, its one of my favorite stops. The drinks are so, so good, and I love going on the ride as it makes me so excited to go to Mexico. Plus I love that little bazaar bit, its so interesting.

Oh and how was school hun?

oooo Mexico, veryyyy nice! I was in Cozumel Mexico a few years back on a cruise and it was sooo beautiful!
