Count me in! What a fun TR!
I can't wait to hear your engagement story...

Wow 97 degrees does seem pretty hot for that part of the country!! We have a Six Flags waterpark in Illinois and the Wisconsin Dells aren't too far from here, but Disney's waterparks seem so much better!Great tr so far. Can't wait to hear about how the engagement happened.
We adore the waterparks. They are 2 of the reasons we go to Disney. They are sooooo much fun.![]()
Up here in the PNW, waterparks really don't exist. We have a wild waves about 1.5 hours from here and most of the time the weather just doesn't cooperate. Although it is 97 degrees today, so it would be a good day to go.
Hello andCount me in! What a fun TR!I can't wait to hear your engagement story...

Hi andHey thereI am really enjoying your trip report. It sounds like you guys had a blast. I can't wait to hear about the proposal! Thatis very romantic that you are getting married on your anniverary
: Can't wait for the next update!
Okay DISers I need your help...
Does anyone know if you take the negatives from your disposable cameras or older cameras to a photo processing place (ie: Walgreens, Walmart, etc) will they be able to take the negatives and put them on to a CD?
The reason I ask is because DF's mom got some really great shots on her disposable camera and gave me an extra set of prints, but I want to make them digital. Plus, we have so many negatives just sitting in a box, I thought it may be fun to get them all on a CD. Has anyone had negatives put onto a CD?
Thanks in advance!!!![]()

Okay this is the answer I got from my DBF who is a camera buff like his dad. I hope this helps.
Yes, It can be done easily. I don't know if Walgreens can do it or not, but many camera shops and certainly profesional labs can.
I know most photo places will put your 35 mm photos on a cd when you get them developed originally, so i'm sure they can do it from the negatives too, it just might cost a little more. I'm not 100% that Walgreens does it, but i know that CVS and Wal-Mart do.
Sounds like you had fun at BB....I can't wait to try another Disney Waterpark...The last time I was at one was when River Country was still open. I LOVED River Country!!! My youngest will be 4 on our next trip, and we are going in Dec, so we won't get there this time, but hopefully the trip after this we can hit a WP one day.
Thanks so much! You and your DBF are the best!I am going to begin digging up all of our negatives. That will be like a 1 year project.

Does your DBF possibly know what the cost is to get them on CD. I know at Walgreens they will make a CD for you for about $3 to $4, I dont know if it would be the same for taking them off of negatives.![]()
Yeah I was wondering if it would cost more to do it from negatives, but I think it would be worth it. I hope Walgreens does it so that I can utilize DF's discount!
I have only seen River Country in pictures, it definitley looked interesting, I wish I could have visited it when it was open.
Awesome update and I love all the BB pics! I am always interested in other's opinion of the Disney wp. I like TL better than BB for some reason...I can't put a finger on it...however the theming at BB is just hilarious! I love that you won't ride by yourself...and can you just imagine going down that huge slide at BB???? Honestly if someone offered me free DVC if I went down it I would actually have to pause and think about itSo I guess I am not the only person scared of it.
Congratulations on setting your date and beginning your planning...how thrilling! I am the same as you...have a big wedding close to home and do your vow renewals in Disney on your 10th Anniversary (or whatever year you pick). And of course, there's always the weddingmoons and anniversary trips to Disney![]()
Cannot wait to for the next update...btw, I just put our pics in my scrapbook from the Tiki Room![]()
Great installment. I would give BB another chance. I had to go twice before I figured out the park...![]()
TL is also awesome. I must agree.
And about your pictures -- You can definitly get it down at one of the value stores. The only problem you may face is untrained photog people. Just please be careful of where you choose to go. I had pictures developed off negatives and they were destroyed....
hello. i have just read your pre trip and the beginning of this trip report. congratulations on your engagment!!!!!!!!!!!! i also LOVE the ideas from your pre trip report, and if you dont mind i will be using some of them for my DBF and mine trip next may. He would really like all the character of the day ones. and the itinerary cards and trip report cards! you are definitly a planning expert.
i also am getting my degree in elementary education. i have a few years left to go though!
once again, congrats!!!!
Hi &I am glad you are enjoying the trippie. Feel free to use any of the ideas I posted, that is why I posted them in the first place!!
That is so cool that you are gonna be a teacher too! Do you have any idea what grade you want to teach?
That is very cool that you want to do Special Ed. Inclusion classrooms are very common in Illinois and all teachers are required to take a special education course. I dont know if it is the same in NY or not. Kindergarten is a fun age, they are still so young and curious about the world. I am actually student teaching in a kindergarten classroom this fall. Although it is not my favorite grade, I am still so excited! I always wanted to do 2nd or 3rd for the same reason as you: they sorta have a grasp about what is going on and they become used to the school routine. However, I taught in a 5th grade classroom last semester and absolutely loved it!!!! I never thought I would like the older grades, but it was so much fun! I guess you cant really know what you want to teach unless you try a little of it all. I am sorry THIS is so long, I get so excited when I start talking about teaching with other to-be teachers!!thank you for the welcomei am planning on getting my masters in special education. i would like to teach kindergarten or 2nd grade. i absolutely love children, and the idea of the 5 year olds in kindergarten is very exciting. however the shoe tying, nose wiping, bathroom accident parts is a lot to deal with on the side of teaching! i have been a camp counselor and babysat many children that age, and it can get a little tiring after awhile.
2nd grade has also seems exciting to me, because i feel the kids have an idea of whats going on with themselves and the world, and of course they can do all that stuff by themselves for the most part!
also with the special education i don't really know if i would end up with all special ed children or an inclusion classroom. just going to have to see what opens up here on Long Island.
sorry that this is so long! im just so excited about starting and having a classroom to decorate and things to plan out.
have a great day!
Thanks so much andGreat Trip Report, and Congrats on the Engagment![]()
Looking forward to reading all about it.
